Rating: Summary: AWESOME! KEEP THEM COMING Review: As an avid reader (mostly murder mysteries) I found this book to be quite fascinating. It was fast paced enough so that you didn't get bored and slow enough so that you could keep up. I wanted to rush pages to see characters get out of danger. Once again Tim LaHaye and Jerry Jenkins have delivered a wonderful masterpiece. I look forward to the remaining ones. My copy went to a friend here in Atlanta and after that will be going to Jamaica to another friend who went back there to live. These books are making a difference, touching the religious world as well as the secular world. It's the talk of my church (Baptist) and we have heard of many people saved because of these books. Don't forget to tell your friends and neighbors about them. It may be the closest thing to the Bible they read!
Rating: Summary: can't -put-down-must-have-next-book-NOW!!!!!! Review: I started with Left Behind and have now finished Apollyan. They are all great books! I love the series idea. The only thing that bothered me at first was how long they took to tell one part of the whole story, now when you read the book you will understand. However, now I realize that if they gave you everything at once it would all be over in one or two books...so smarter authors than readers THEY ARE... driving me crazy with each installment and it is worth it!!! it is hard to say what I mean without ruining the story for those who have not read! You will know what I mean when you read them....You will be frustrated for them to move along the story and at the same time be glad they don't or it would be over...let me just say I have not enjoyed or read so fast other books as these and am dying for the next one!!! Oh! One tip...when I bought left behind I said " O it will take me a while to read this" So I did not by the second one "tribulation Force" while I was on Amazon.com... I finished the first one at midnight the first night and was so upset I didn't buy the second so I could delve into right away!!!!( I had to wait 4 days to get the next)...when you buy the first ...order thru the Apollyan...I am tellin ya!!!Buy them all at once because you will not want to be interrupted!!!That is how good they are!!!!
Rating: Summary: Wonderful - Eagerly awaited - too soon finished Review: Congratulations to the authors. They have tremendous imagination and insight. This series will make the biblical Revelation explode in your mind. A group of us here at Ohio State University are glued to the books for their biblical interpretation and character development. We are eagerly awaiting the next book. I'm glad to see that you have 12 books in mind. Seven was not enough. Keep writing.
Rating: Summary: A wonderful and exciting book. Review: Just a month ago my frind lent me her copy of Left behind. It took me two days to read it, and I have been flying through the series since. One of the things I noticed though, was that through the other books ,the charecters seem to have only the obvious problems, such as The Global community, hiding form the enemy and such. But this book gets into the more humansitic, and everyday problems these people have, which makes it thew best one of the series in my opinion, because it shows that these "saints" are just like us. The books have also opened my eyes to how much god loves us, and any christian or non-christian looking for some spritual enthusiasm mixed with a great plot, read this book.
Rating: Summary: The Left Behind Series: Something to Think About Review: I have read Left Behind and Tribulation Force in less than 48 hours. I look forward to the continuing books but feel they should be put to film. They read like a movie because they are easy to follow..I have some great ideas for actors for the characters. These books help visualize the revelation in the Bible and put your faith into perspective...I don't want to be Left Behind. Kudos to Jerry Jenkins and Tim LaHaye.
Rating: Summary: The LEFT BEHIND series: A Stern Notice Review: MY Review of Left Behind and Tribulation Force was an excellent read for all to take notice, especially those who are noticing the signs of the end. I read both books in less than 48 hours. For Tim LaHaye and Jerry Jenkins, I would suggest making their books into a movie, because that is exactly how it read, it was easy to follow and I could just see some leading actors today filling the Characters....Please consider it for film. Praise God!
Rating: Summary: Even if you are not a believer, the facts are indisputable. Review: Not since the late 50's when movie theatre revivals shared the message has an opportunity been afforded so many people. I am glad the Tim LaHaye and Jerry Jenkins continue to provide a simple but true walk through one of the most complex books of the bible. Many people will not pick up a Bible; however, this series is reaching people that will now hear the message. Apollyon moved very quickly and the story line linked with previous titles but continued to unveil the prophecies. Jerry and Tim's descriptive style of writing enables the reader to move through the text and concentrate on the message they are sending. Jesus is returning! Are you ready?
Rating: Summary: I absolutely can not wait for the next book in this series. Review: A highly effective evangelism tool. Keep up the outstanding work and please hurry and get this in movie form so non-readers can experience it as well. Ignore the negative remarks and write, write, write! The reason for a four star review is that I do agree with one person, don't include so much review. If you have read this far you know the history of the characters. I did find myself skimming those parts. Praise God, Jesus Is Coming Soon! Ready or not. Thank you for using Scripture as proof.
Rating: Summary: This book, along with the series, really got my attention. Review: I found the content of this book most intriguing. I can say with certainty that I don't want to be here for what's described as these judgements. I believe the series will encourage people to study prophesy for themselves. Looking forward to Assasins.
Rating: Summary: Defenders of this series need to re-examine their hearts Review: Obviously, this series has NOT engendered the type of soul-searching that many of its defenders claim it has. To the person from Spokan (WA) who wrote, "Scare-tactic evangelism? You betcha!"; that virulent attitude has absolutely NOTHING to do with the Good News of Jesus Christ. Yes, the Gospel does offend some people with its exclusivity; but Christ ALWAYS left a person's decision up to them. No arm twisting & certainly no scare-tactics. Maybe you need to re-read the Gospels. Once again we see a particular segment of the Christian community acting the way secular society pictures us all to be: gloating, self-righteous know-it-alls who communicate nothing of the grace and mercy of Christ; just human sinfulness disgracing the Gospel by telling everybody else where they will spend eternity. As Christ's disciples we are commanded to tell the Good News; please leave the eternal judgements up to God, that's His business. No, I'm sorry but trying to frighten people into the Kingdom is wrong. We are witnesses to God's grace; not self-appointed inquisiters who are trying to get even with a sinful culture that won't listen to us anymore. But then again, why would they?
