Summary: The Truth Shall Set You Free
Review: To the reader from "Chicago, Illinois , February 25, 1999" - as a defender of this series, I question you're heart. Yes, our GOD is loving and merciful, but he is also just. This series does not focus on "Scare-tactic evangelism" it tells the truth. The time frame depicted in this series takes place AFTER the Rapture, NOT before. The opportunity to lead fellow sinners (because we all fall short) to Christ is now, not during the rule of the Anti-Christ. Those who are "Left Behind" will endure this type of tribulation, why sugar-coat it? The loving and merciful GOD we serve has annointed this series with the truth, why? Because the truth shall set us free. As a parent I would give my life to save my children, which our GOD has done. If loving them and instructing them (his word) doesn't work, I'd love them enough to give them one last chance to redeem themselves - tribulation. Throughout this series HIS love and HIS mercy are illustrated to those who accept his gift, that's what it's all about. No "Scare Tactics", simply the truth. There have been comments by others as to the "pace" of the series, I too at first was frustrated at it's pace, but I am thankful that it illustrates GODS Mercy in explaining the inner feelings and turmoil of the charaters we've come to know and to understand their struggles. It's not going to be easy - But this series illustrates that he has made a way where there seems to be no way. One last thought - when all is said and done and the time frame depicted in this series comes to reality, this series will be "Left Behind".

Summary: quick read,very interesting
Review: Easy to read. Important subject matter. Consistent with the previous books in this series. Given the totality of garbage books on the market,I think the time and money invested here are well worth the investment.

Summary: WARNING! DON'T BELIEVE THE 1-STAR LIERS!
Review: FIRST OF ALL I WANT TO COMMENT THAT ALL THE JUNK ABOUT THE SCARE-TACTIC IS REALLY GOING TO HAPPEN, THEY ARE TELLING THE TRUTH. I ALWAYS WAS THE TOP BEST IN ALL MY SCHOOLS AND GRADUATED FROM HARVARD, I CAN RECOGNIZE GREAT WRITING AND THIS IS VERY VERY GOOD. I HAVE READ BETTER, BUT NOT MUCH. TO ANYONE WHO DISAGREES READ REVELATIONS. THE BOOK IS TRUE. SORRY TO SAY THAT ABOUT YOU AND I WANTED TO EXPRESS THE FACT ABOUT THE BOOK THAT IT IS NOT IN ANY WAY FALSE, EXCEPT THE MADE-UP CHARACTERS. LOVE IN CHRIST. I LOOK FORWARD TO SEEING YOU HEAVEN.

Summary: Don't miss this book!
Review: As the most recent of the "Left Behind" series focusing on the Tirbulation, this is by far the one showing the most tragic aspects of the seven seal judgements and the promise Jesus gave to all believers. By reading this book if you do not come to a better understanding of the works of "Revelation" you need to do some serious "Soul" searching. This is a must read!

Summary: Brain candy, not evangelistic literature.
Review: Are there really non-Christians who are becoming Christians because of these books? The vast majority of reviews on this site are Christians who just say that non-Christians should read them. I have yet to see an actual review by someone who didn't believe in God, read these books, and decided to believe in Jesus. And then I have to question what kind of vision of Christianity they are converting to. These books might be entertaining distractions for Christians, but if you want to give non-Christians real solid material, try Mere Christianity by C. S. Lewis.

Summary: The only thing destroyed is the quality of the series.
Review: I think customer demand, ironically, is wrecking this series. It's great that it's so popular and that people are reading about the things of God. But because everybody demands that the authors write the next book right away, they don't have the time to put together a quality novel. Even John Grisham only writes one book a year. Trying to do two a year, plus the kids books, is dumbing down the writing. The dialogue is mostly inane banter, and there's only a few scenes with compelling action or writing (the locust plague, or the witnesses killing people). So much of the rest feels like filler. Tell the authors to ignore the crowds and take their time. I'd rather have one quality book a year than two books that are lame.

Summary: Offensive trash.
Review: What is this book about? If you're a pregnant non-Christian, your baby will die. If you're a pregnant Christian, your baby will be just fine. That's what it all boils down to. Just like Soul Harvest said that the only role for women was to get pregnant or die, now Apollyon says that good girls have babies while bad girls lose them. Such drivel is hardly a charitable presentation of the Christian gospel.

Summary: It's become a soap opera, sad to say.
Review: The series started off okay, but it's really gone downhill the last few books. It now feels more like a made-for-TV movie or miniseries, and an overly long and drawn out one at that. Now that they're cranking out the books twice a year, they necessarily have to drag out the action so barely anything happens in each individual book. Just like daytime soaps, where not much happens from month to month. I'm sorry, but I'm no longer impressed and don't think it's worth buying in hardcover anymore.

Summary: Wonderful!!
Review: I have read this entire series and I love it! I appreciate how the biblical prophesies put in real life examples. I can't wait for the next one and I've already gotten two friends hooked!

I know that a lot of people don't like these books for whatever reason. Please - think about it before you give these books a bad review!! It can't be easy to write something like this, so if you can't do better, maybe you shouldn't critisize. If you don't like the writing style - don't read them! It doesn't mean you have to bad mouth it to everyone else!!

I think the authors are doing a great job. Keep up the good work guys!!

Summary: Another GOOD book, but not a GREAT book.
Review: I read Left Behind around two years ago. It was truly scary reading the book and the feelings that one might feel if they were "left behind." Since then I've followed the series closely, always buying the next book as soon as it was released. This one disapointed me. The first book was incredible. The second followed suit very well. The third wasn't great, but wasn't bad. The fourth captured me again. Now the fifth, was fallen back down again. It seems as though the characters change slightly from book to book. They are subtle changes, but I have taken note of them. It is somewhat disheartening at the odd array of characteristics that are introduced in every new book for each character. Maybe it's just me, but that's the way I feel. But a great job on the horrifying description of the locust-type plague. It was scary to imagine the horror of those who will have to endure that judgement. Thanks for good reading though.
