Summary: Good, but slow in places
Review: Apollyon is the only one in the series, which seems to slow to a crawl in places. The story line is terrific and the new characters are interesting. The old characters are developed with more believable characteristics. It is the only one in the series that I was able to put down and leave for a period of time. Our former pastor is a Revelation scholar and taught many classes on Revelation. The LaHaye/Jenkins series puts characters and real life situations into our Revelation study. Enjoying the series very much. Thanks for the easy way to understand Revelation.

Summary: The Series brought me back home
Review: After reading this series so far, it brought me back to my knees for the first time in many years. I am so glad to have found these books, and I pray that I can get my family to read and understand before it is too late.

Summary: grab your seat and hang on you're in for a bumpy ride!
Review: What a thrilling book series! I'm glad that I know that when He calls, I'm going with Him! If you're not sure if you're going to get caught up, then grab your seat and hang on you're in for a bumpy ride. It only lasts 7 years, maybe you'll live thru it?

Summary: FANTASTIC!
Review: Tim Lahaye and Jerry Jenkins are wonderful in bringing something that is predicted in the Bible to life. I am very puzzled though by some of the reviews on this book. I would like to respond to some of the reviews. On March 17th, someone wrote that this series is "drivel". This series tells the truth! This person also wrote, " Would you discard your beliefs if I wrote a thriller about how, in the future, you will suffer because of them? I think not. The Rapture is only scary to those of us who know it will happen." Any TRUE Christian and new Christian knows that if you are saved you will not suffer because of your belief in Christ. You will be rewarded with "Eternal Life" just as God has promised. Because when the Tribulation taking place, any TRUE believer will not be here. We will be with God in his kingdom. The non-believers will be suffering. But they will also have a chance to repent. So why is the Rapture scary for those of us who know it will happen?? I am not scared because I know where I will be. I am scared for those who aren't believers. After I read the first book I got down on my knees and thanked God for my salvation and it made me want to testify his love. I will agree with one thing this person said, and that is that our faith is wonderful. The book of Revelation shows His awesome power. The only reason He would ever have to do this is because of people hearing what He says and ignoring it. He has given us a chance to have an eternal life with Him. Our job as Christians is to spread that throughout the world. Jerry Jekins and Tim Lahaye will not "pay for this when Christ comes back" as one person said, they will be rewarded for telling the truth. And as far as using "scare-tactics" goes. This is certainly not that. Non-believers must know what is in their future if they do not turn to Him. In turn they will fear Him, but know that He has given us a chance to have everlasting life through Jesus. In knowing this they will see God's love. Because only a loving God could send His only son to die so that we could be saved from Hell. There was another person who said he hasn't seen a review where someone's life was changed by these books. Well you have now. It changed mine. It made me want to be closer to my Lord and made me want to get out there a testify His power and love for all. I don't know about any of you, but I am ready for the time when Jesus comes back. Are you? writing is PHENOMINAL! God is certainly going to reward you. I am honored to be one of your many sisters in Christ. Keep up the good work! Your doing great! No matter what these people say, I know you are touching lives and winning souls for the Lord. Keep on testifying. Thanks for writing this wonderful series! SEE YOU IN HEAVEN

Summary: A Very Good Read, But It Could Have Been Better.
Review: I have just finished reading "Apollyon" by Tim LaHaye and Jerry B. Jenkins, and I will say that, generally, I enjoyed the book. I liked the addition of new characters, and the twists and turns taken by the old ones. I do wish that you (this is to Jenkins and LaHaye) would let Hattie come to the Lord because it would be extremely tragic to lose both her soul and her baby at the same time. One thing that bothered me, though, is that the book seems to get bogged down in places, especially in the middle of the book. I mean, the book starts off at a fast pace, then it kind of drags. The excitement starts to build again towards the end of the book. All in all, though, I did enjoy the book for the most part, even though the action was a bit uneven and some of the scenes a bit contrived. And, you could explore the character of Nicolae Carpathia a little more because I don't feel I know him as much as I thought I did. And not only that,he doesn't come across as scary at all, at least not like he did in the first book, for instance. I do look forward to much more action and tension in the forthcoming books, such as "Assasins", later on in the year. Do keep up the good work and, where suggested, improve on what you already have. "Bye."

Summary: What's the book really about?
Review: Ok- After reading a lot of the one-star reviews it appears that you people have NO IDEA what the entire purpose of this book series is. You are all focusing on these little sub-plots in the book such as Clhoe & Hattie's babies. The entire purpose of the series is to better demonstrate what will happen after the rapture, in an attempt to prepare more people by bringing them to Christ. It's not to denouce other religions, but to help them see the truth. If you would stop focusing on the little details in the series, such as what color that characters hair is and how hard it would be to buy hard dye during the tribulation, then maybe you could actually see how good a writing the series is and save yourself before its too late.

Summary: The best yet!!!
Review: This is the best out of all the Left Behind books!!!! I have always loved them all but this one beats them all. The book centers on how the days are getting worse and the non-Christians are starting to suffer even more. There are more plauges, there is the big meeting of all the Christians in Israel(with a surprise drop in guest!), and the tention is definately getting worse between Nicoale and the Christian(especially Buck and Rayford!). These books are great wittnessing tools or just a good Christian fiction book. A deffinate must read for those who are looking for Christ!

Rating: 3 stars
Summary: still captivating but very poor writing
Review: Although I love the Left Behind series and thirst to read each book, I found this book to be the worse. The dialougue between the characters was not the same as in the other books and there was way too much re-capping. At times it seemed as if it was the work of some other writers.

I'm not sure if I want two books a year if they are going to be the same quality as Appolyon.
