Rating: Summary: EXCELLENT Review: I HAVE READ ALL SIX OF THE EXISTING BOOKS IN THE LEFT BEHIND SERIES. EACH BOOK TAKES YOU THROUGH A JOURNEY. YOU NEED TO STAY FOCUS THROUGH SOME PARTS IN SOUL HARVEST. I HAVE BEEN A CHRISTIAN FOR 13 YEARS, BUT STILL ENJOYED HOW THE SERIES WAS WRITTEN EVEN FOR THOSE WHO DON'T HAVE A CLUE TO BIBLICAL PROPHECY. I COMMEND MR. JENKINS AND MR. LAHAYE FOR WRITING THESE BOOKS AND LETTING THE WORD OF GOD BE REVEALED TO THE LOST. I COMMEND EVERYONE IN THE WORLD TO READ, LISTEN TO THE AUDIOS OR HOWEVER THEY NEED TO GET THIS INTO THEM. THIS IS TRULY A JOB WELL DONE AND I WISH BOOK 7 WERE ALREADY PUBLISHED.
Rating: Summary: I look forward to commuting by bus to read the series. Review: Other than the morning paper, I have never been one to read much. That all changed when my brother sent me the first five books of the "Left Behind" series. I have just received the sixth and look forward to reading it every day. The story is thrilling and action packed; the message from God extremely clear despite its interpretation of the Book of Revelations, a subject that is anything but clear to most people. I highly recommend these books to all, believer and non-believer. I sense God's presence as I read these books and a desire to get my life in order. I can only wish the same for everyone else. God Bless!
Rating: Summary: Awesome book! Review: This riveting piece of prophetic fiction keeps the reader longing for more at the turn of each page. The fifth of the left behind series, Apollyon stands as a strong affirmation of how much God wants to get our attention's as a people. Giving us believers, the strength and joy to go on, no matter the adversity. Something the Tribulation force has kept in mind, and will continue to do so until the day of the Glorious Appearing. Even though the demon attack could've been detailed and described more, the book really isn't so bad. So believers out there - shout! We've got the victory. Amen? Amen!
Rating: Summary: Predictable Review: You read the books quickly, not because they're so gripping, but because there's nothing to them. Like cotton candy. The plots are totally predictable because they are...predicted. You know what's going to happen, so where's the suspense? Dumbest books I have ever read. Without question.
Rating: Summary: Boys & Girls, This is Ludicrous Review: The first book was not well written. By this time, I would expect some improvement, but no-o-o! Not these folks! Not only is the writing just as wooden, just as scarily unconnected, now there are active contradictions. Not minor stuff, either. Steele's wife's name. Behavior. Actions. Look, characterization isn't that hard. Neither is writing emotions that convince the reader. These people don't experience faith, or fear, or any other feeling. We're told about it. Spare me! Stop writing this stuff! Or write better, one or the other. I know you can sell millions of these awful, thinly-plotted, badly characterized screeds because believers have far too little to read that entertains, enlightens and instructs. But please, work harder! And you readers! Just because it's about Christians facing the apocolypse doesn't mean it's any good. Figure that out and stop giving this stuff five stars! Ok, I've vented. But don't read this! It's gone beyond bad to squirmingly embarassing.
Rating: Summary: Not as good as the others Review: Although I appreciate the focus on characters and their day to day life situations during the tribulation, I am disappointed that more time is not spent in the world's reaction to biblical calalmities and how it affects them. The whole section with the locusts could have, and should have in my opinion, been expounded. I sense the build up in the book, see it come to fruition, but the climax is wanting. It seems more like a bee sting, shocking and painful at first, but leaving no permanent difficulties and soon forgotten. The situations with Chaim and Hattie and getting a bit long for my tastes. They remind me of a Felix Unger or Steve Urkel, interesting at first and amusing, but ultimately leading to more of an annoying feeling the longer they go on. I'd prefer to see some kind of meaningful change in their respective situations, either one way or the other, instead of the status quo.
Rating: Summary: Full time mom but still read this book in two days!!! Review: I read "Left Behind" about two years ago and thought it was a great book, but not until recently did I know it was a series. I have since read the past four books all within a week and a half. That is saying a lot since I have two small children. Talk about a lot of staying up late to finish reading. I couldnt put the books down. The best part about these books is it makes you think about your own walk with God and you want to make sure that you are not "Left Behind"
Rating: Summary: Excellent reading Review: A must read thriller that keeps you wanting more . . .
Rating: Summary: NOT BAD. BUT TREMENDOUSLY OVERRATED Review: THE BOOK STARTED OUT BETTER THAN ANY OF THE PREVIOUS "LEFT BEHIND" BOOKS, AND ALMOST MADE ME EAT MY WORDS ABOUT THE SERIES. I THOUGHT THE GATHERING OF THE WITNESSE WAS AWESOME BUT IT WAS ALL DOWNHILL FROM THERE. I DON'T SEE WHY PEOPLE ARE SO OBSSESED WITH THIS SERIES. I MEAN COME ON DOESN'T IT SEEM A LITTLE HOOKEY TO YOU, LIKE THE ANTICHRIST IS GOING TO BE SO CONCERNED OVER A LITTLE PASTOR NAMED BRUSE BARNES ENOUGH TO KILL HIM. I'M SORRY IF YOU GUYS THINK THIS IS A THRILL TRY PERETTI HE'S A ROLLERCOASTER!
Rating: Summary: awesome Review: The Left Behind series have been fantastic! The best I've ever read. Once you begin to read them, you begin to feel part of the family or they begin to become part of yours. The books are intense. Once you pick them up your unable to put them down. Cannot wait to read the next ones. Too bad, we have to wait for them to be written.
