Summary: In The Begining
Review: There were two christen men. They decided to tell a adventurous storey. On a biblical scale. This storey attracted christens and non-christens alike. Two christens that had an idea and a wonderful plan. Now however somewhere along the lines it has turned into two capitalist men adding more and more ...books to keep us buying and buying. As I write this book 9 is coming out. If I purchase all copys of these I am at $... Book 8 only spand a few days in the 7 year period of the trib. My guess is that these books will go on longer then the 7 years of revalations.

Summary: Compelling
Review: I have read all of the books in this series, and anxiously await Oct. 31.
I have read many books, by many authors. I must admit, I do not enjoy the writings of those such as Stephen King. I also
spent several minutes of my time, scrolling through the reviews of these books. I noticed two common threads among those
who left negative reviews; they are non-Christian, Stephen King fans. Had they taken the time to compare these books with
the book of Revelations, they would have found that there may be some relevance to what the authors wrote in these books.
The power of God does not have to "have reason" . . . or "make sense" . . . or "be realistic". That is what God is all about . .
. Almighty Power.
I was raised in a Christian home, and have always strived to be the best Christian I felt I could be; without making too many
sacrifices. I must say that this series of books, has caused me to re-evaluate.
I have shared these books with my young adult children, who are not "religous fanatics" at all, to the contrary, they don't
even go to church. They enjoyed them all and found them to be very compelling. These books have made them, also, rethink
many aspects of their lives.
I wonder how many of the people who negatively reviewed this book, based on it's "unrealist . . . not likely to happen . . .
give me a friggin break", happenings, would have thought that the WTC would be removed from the face of earth along with
5,000+ Americans?
Like I said . . . .read Revelations.

Summary: OK
Review: This book was like a pause between the fifth book and the seventh. Reads fast. Same characters. You can not put it down.

All of the Left Behind series from the first book to The Mark could have been condensed into 3, if not 2, books.

Summary: Christian Fiction At Its Best.
Review: Why do I write "Christian Fiction"? Because Tim Lahaye, Jerry B. Jenkins base there work on an idea that has almost absolutely nothing to do with the Bible. They are so far off it is not even funny. And what is even more remarkable is that people actually believe it! Take for example the first verse in Revelation, what does it say? "The Revelation of Jesus Christ, which God gave unto him, to shew unto his servants things which must shortly come to pass; and he sent and signified it by his angel unto his servant John:". Tim Lahaye, Jerry B. Jenkins interpret the Bible in a context that has nothing to do with those in Matthew 23! There eschatology of Matthew 24 has nothing to do with the rest of the Bible and the people to whom it was written. Foremost one must know how to interpret the Bible before one reads it. And this must be done by understanding why it was written. The apocalypse has to do with those who killed Christ and an end to the apostasy of the servants of Jehovah. By removing the the ideas of the apostles and Christ bringing us straight into 2000 with a great leap Tim Lahaye, Jerry B. Jenkins have left Jesus and the apostles behind! Summary: Excellent continuation
Review: A horde of 200 million horsemen, visible only to believers, slay a third of the world's population. As they are not visible to non-believers, the phenomenon is blamed on something else.

The two witnesses, Eli and Moishe are killed by Carpathia and their bodies are laft to rot. But after 3 days the corpses are gone.

Nicolae Carpathia suffers the lethal head wound that is prophecied.

This is an excellent series and I recommend it to all.

The next book in the series is "The Indwelling"

The series remains popular and each subsequent book gains popularity

Summary: MICHELLE'S REVIEW!!!!
Review: I have been wanting to read the Left Behind series for quite some time. I have waited until this summer (2001) and have almost caught up! I have found the books difficult to put down and have read each one in 2 days or less! Assassins was no disappointment! The pace was very exciting and the plot came to a climatic conclusion. I was intrigued by the more human qualities of the Christians - especially Rayford Steele. I feel an urgency to pray and share the gospel more than ever thanks to this series. Fiction is best when it is entertaining and meaningful! Keep up the great work La Haye and Jenkins!

Summary: This could have been a lot better
Review: After reading Assassins, I determined that I will not read any more of these books. This one rehashed too much old material and did not do enough to advance the plot. It was predictable and poorly written. The first book in the series was by far the best. The rest have gone downhill steadily. It seems to me that these have become potboilers...a money machine. It really is too bad, because I would like to be able recommend this series to my non-Christian friends, but I just can't do it. They would never again listen to a recommendation from me.

Summary: Great, but not the Best
Review: "Assassins" isn't the best book of the "Left Behind" colection, but is moving, and make us think about the christian values in a situation like facing the own face of evil.... I expected something more of this book, because of what I have felt with the others (except Apollion), but like them it let us desiring to read the next one, to solve a mistery (not so hard to figure out)....

Summary: Breathless
Review: Terrific book. It left me tingling and mentally out of breath. It also left me wanting the next book in the series RIGHT NOW! It is a very exciting look into our future.

Rating: 3 stars
Summary: A very weak start and a strong finish
Review: Maybe the previous book spoiled me but Assassins was SO very tedious until maybe two thirds of the way through that I found myself rushing just to get it over with. It dragged and droned with cardboard speeches and a sudden character morph. In any series of fiction a willing suspension of disbelief is needed. I was unable to generate it here. One of the strengths of the series is the possibility that this can happen. It is the thing that made the Exorcist the most frightning movie i've ever seen. This book loses that sense till near the very end. Every writer is entitled to one lemon, hopefully the is Lahaye's and Jenkins only one.
