Rating: Summary: AWESOME BOOK!!!!!!!!!!! Review: I hated for this book to end! It was the best one yet.I can't wait for the next one...
Rating: Summary: Better than Apollyon, but they need to pick up the pace. Review: The series is a great idea. "Left Behind" is a classic. A friend referred to it as a "mainstream view of revelation," which is a pretty good description. I found Apollyon disapppointing, so I was glad to see them get back to the form of the first few books. Still, I must say that I think we deserve more closure in each book if they are going to charge full price. Seems like they are milking it to have 6 more.
Rating: Summary: Both the content and the storyline were mediocre. Review: Past references to previous books were too numerous and lengthy. I don't think it is necessary to complete rehash the past books to this extent. Frankly, the first 1/3 of the book was rather boring, compared to the others. I am a huge proponent of the Left Behind series, but it seems like the authors are trying to stretch out their writings to fulfill their committment made to their publisher for a certain number of books. One would think there is ample material in Revelations on which to base many more books without having to include lengthy past sections and/or drift away from a strong storyline.
Rating: Summary: Heart warming and heart wrenching, I counldn't put it down. Review: As I read this book I found myself wanting to pray for the trib force and all the believers still in the world. The obsticles they face in this book are believable and quite possible in our day and age. The way the authors have interpreted events in Revelations and bring them into our time is eye-opening and believable. I wait anxiously for the next book in the series and pray for this world of ours.
Rating: Summary: So It Is Possible To Improve Upon Perfection After All, Huh! Review: I'm just thankful that Jerry and Tim have taken the initiative to present a clear and very entertaining work of the Spirit of God in these books. I've always anticipated the events of Revelations and thought, "Man, what a great film that would make...if/when done right!" Well, Tim and Jerry have demonstrated that through Christ we can improve upon perfection, "...with God all things are possible". I'm excited for the many people who are just getting started in this series! Man what a treat. At least they can go from book to book with non-stop excitement, one saga after the other...the rest of us who have been following this series from "Left Behind", we have the luxury of waiting paitently, frantically, for the next book. Either way, it is a treat and I certainly cannot wait for the next book to be published! God Bless all of the readers of these books. May the Lord continue to inspire Tim and Jerry! May His anointing be upon the producers of the upcoming movie release! Keep up the good work fella's!Deacon Martin A. Smith
Rating: Summary: this book along with the rest in the series changed my life. Review: Never in my life has a book gotten me to take a long hard look at life the way this one and the previous ones in the series have. I was skeptical about reading them when a good friend suggested them to me but once I started it took only two weeks to read the first 5. Assassins left me wanting more and I can't wait until the next book comes out.
Rating: Summary: Just another terminal generation Review: Contrast the fact that the vast majority of the readers don't want to be around during the tribulation with the fact that these same folks are foaming at the mouth to experience it via these books. The primary casualties of this apocalyptic lust are the timing-of-fulfillment passages found in Revelation chapters 1, 2, 3, and 22. Either the key words in those passages are ignored, or they are stripped of their normative and conclusive Biblical meanings and subsequently assigned brand new doctrinally-supportive definitions. But once we scale the language barrier (thank you's go to Walter Martin and Hank Hanegraaff), we can allow ourselves to admit that the seven first century churches (they who were the direct, original, relevant audience of the Apostle John's work) understood "soon" to mean soon, "near" to mean near, "come quickly" to mean come quickly, and "about to come" to mean about to come. We should be resigned, then, to admit that the members of these first century churches would not have been remotely capable of understanding the book of Revelation as it has been spun by LaHaye and Jenkins near the dawn of the 21st century. The authors are suggesting to us that NOW the Rapture and the Tribulation are near, soon to happen, coming quickly, and about to come. If these words still mean what the authors defaulted them to supposedly mean in the first century, we've got a long way to go, baby! I'm sure the movie version of this book series will be swell! Try Brad Pitt as Nicolai, Billy Bob Thornton as Buck.
Rating: Summary: Can't wait for the Glorious Appearing! Review: Enjoyed this one as much as the first. Hattie needs to go. Her character has gotten tedious. I liked Rayford's character better in the previous books. I wish the next book was being released sooner. It's difficult to wait to read more!
Rating: Summary: The next in the series can't come soon enough! Review: An excellent continuation of this dramatic and realistic series that anyone is sure to enjoy. Once you've started, you're hooked!
Rating: Summary: What a page turner Review: This book was just awesome. Although Apollynon is my favorite in the series, this book has the best ending since Nicolea. This book did not have as much action but is kept me turning from pafe to page. This book leaves us with so many questions that I can't waite until the spring for the next one to come out.
