Rating: Summary: One of my co-worker's is reading my copy of Assassins Review: I belong to a small congregation-virtually everyone is reading the Left Behind books and loving each new volume. Recently a friend introduced me to "Transfer-the end of the beginning" by Jerry Furland. "Transfer" is not so much a "Christian" fiction book as it is a techno-political thriller with overt Christian themes. Like Assassins, "Transfer" is one vision no one can easily dismiss and I often find myself lost in thought pondering the inevitability of Furland's near future nightmare. These are heady times for faith-based people of all ages. I await each morning newspaper and evening news broadcast with profoundly heightened interest and understanding. Until volume seven comes along, you might want to read "Transfer"...
Rating: Summary: Yet again! Review: My favorite series is "Left Behind" and Tim Lahaye and Jerry Jenkins have done it yet again! This book keeps you on your seat from the death of another Trib member to the killing of the Anti-Christ. Who will do it? Was Tsion wrong in his predictions all along? In this MUST READ these questions will be answered and the edge of your seat will be flat from you sitting on it!
Rating: Summary: Very well written, recommended Review: I'm an atheist and this book series is centered around the Rapture of Christ and of what happens to those Left Behind. You don't have to be Christian to enjoy these books though, they are well written with captivating characters who are believable and excellantly executed. This book series is a page turner and I finished each book in one night/day. This book, Assassins, becomes around the end a whodunit of sorts; with multiple suspects. It follows the same plot line of the earlier novels, the evil one world order continues to subjugate the Christians (though lord knows what happened to all the Buddhists, Shintos, Pagans, Mormons, Taoists; I guess they were left behind) while blashpemy and demoralization run amok. Still, they are excellant books, though don't hold your breath for when all the "good" people go poof! into heaven.
Rating: Summary: Understanding God and His ways Review: The whole Left Behind series has keep me spell bound , I'm not sure if this will be anywhere close to the way things will play out , when Jesus returns , but you can sure see how a lot of it could work out, as the book follows the bible events, and it unfolds revelations in front of you. I would love to see this in a movie but the trouble is, Hollywood knows nothing about the Lord and His ways .
Rating: Summary: If you think this is good, read The Last Day . . . Review: I read Left Behind, Assassins and Tribulation before I took a friend's recommendation and read another Judgment Day novel, Glen Kleier's The Last Day, which is INFINITELY better. There is vastly more story, provocative thought and soul rattling frights in The Last Day than in any of the above mentioned Jenkins/LaHaye books. That stuff is Judgment Day light in comparison and never delivers the deeper message and tensions that Last Day does. If you must read all these books, do yourself a favor and read them BEFORE you read Last Day, or you'll never go back to them. Last Day gives the whole experience that these lightweight attempts miss.
Rating: Summary: A MUST Read! Review: This series has truly changed my life. These authors were put on Earth by God to send a message, and they have taken so many of us by the ears and given us a wake-up call. If you think you might be one of the ones "Left Behind", then you more than likely will be. Read this. Don't be "Left Behind". God Bless.
Rating: Summary: I couldn't put it down Review: All of the books in the series have been a blessing to me. They are very biblical and quite suspensful. The authors have the ability to bring the Book of Revelation to life. The character development is exceptional and I just love the books. I have read all of them in just a couple of weeks. I cannot wait for the rest.
Rating: Summary: assassins Review: I devoured all six books available in this series and found that they actually change the way you look at life. Although they are written from a fundamentalist Christian perspective, they provide much food for thought. The characters are well-developed and real. I am anxiously awaiting the release of #7.
Rating: Summary: A frightening but necessary read Review: I have read all of the Left Behind series and although I do understand some people saying they drag out, but as a Christian I feel that they are very enlightening and most helpful to those who do not know the Bible and what is to come if you are not saved by the blood of Jesus. If you feel this book is just a scare tactic then you need to read this series and read your Bible along with it. It gives you books of the Bible to refer to and if you will do this you will see that although these books are fiction, the prophesy is not. God Bless you all.
Rating: Summary: Wanted to continue the 'play' effect Review: This audio is great - IF - all the previous audios were a 'read.' I have listened to 'Left Behind,' 'The Tribulation Force' and now 'Assassins' and found that 'Assassins' is a read and not a play. Very disappointing. I have also Read the entire series of 'Left Behind' and axiously await the next one. I have also bought 6 copies of 'Left Behind' for my family & friends.
