Summary: Are You Ready To Find Out What the Secret is in the Chamber?
Review: After reading the first Harry Potter, I was anxious to begin reading Harry Potter and the Chamber of Sercrets.I was surprised because I thought it would not be as good as the first book. I was glad to see Ron and Hermione return to Hoggwartz to meet up with Harry. I really like all the action. This was a long book, but it was quite easy to read because it was very suspensful. I would recommend this book to all readers. You will be scurring to the stores to buy the third book!

Summary: awsome book
Review: After reading the Harry Potter and the Sorcerers Stone I doubted that a sequal would be in the same league of greatness but i was wrong. I thought thit it was even better than the first one because it was so suspenceful. I thought that it was especially interesting how the opening of the chamber of secrets caused the whole school to go into panic instead causing for more of a climax. I would reccommend this book to any fantasy/mistery lovers.

Summary: Not So Bad
Review: After reading the Harry Potter and the Sorceror's Stone, I must say I was impressed. I really loved Rowling engaging style of writing and intriguing characters. But that book was only a preview of what came next.
Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets contains Rowling's great writing along with more action and more suspense. I love how even accidents can happen to her characters, such as when Ron's old wand breaks and causes multiple backfires. I also thought it was very clever and funny when he accidently shoots himself in the stomach, causing him to burp up worms and bugs for days.
Before I read this book, I was a little apprehensive. I thought, "After all that happened in the first novel, how can Rowling give us something even more exciting in her second novel?" I thought, "Surely the second novel will be a let-down like most sequels. I will want more." But, to my pleasant surprise, this novel was even better than the first. Once again, I find myself wondering, "Well, where can she go with the third novel?" I think its Rowling's amazing imagination that will keep me reading the Harry Potter series until the end.

Summary: Unbeleivable Book
Review: After reading the original of the recent hits and chart-topping Harry Potter series, I just had to read the second. It once again begins over summer vacation and takes Harry to his second year at Hogwarts, the best wizarding school of the day. But for some reason, people begin to be attacked by someone - or something. Harry, Ron, and Hermione start on another slew of detective work to find out what's going on, and how to save the students of Hogwarts...it's hard to give a plot summary without exposing the secrets of the ending, which, by the way, was a total surprise!

This book is truly engrossing, more intense and frightening than the first. I loved it! It was both fun and funny, much like the other two in the series. It is interesting to read, and I honestly think it appeals to all ages. Even older readers will enjoy being taken back to the days when the line between fantasy and reality was blurred, and all the books would keep any modern teenager enthralled. Harry Potter No. 2 actually kept me laughing throughout. At some points in the middle, the story may get slightly bland, but don't worry: the best part is yet to come. I love children's stories, have read many, and these are the best, most modern works out there. There's a reason they are so hot right now, and all these other 5-star reviews are deserved! This series breaks the ordinary mold of children's books which are not always written with the same flair J.K. Rowling successfully incorporates into the plot, and they each possess their own sense of magic, not allowing the reader to put the book down! The Harry Potter books are highly recommended! Other children's authors I enjoy are Roald Dahl, Louis Sachar, Mark Twain, C.S. Lewis, and E.B. White.

Summary: Wonderful.....The BEST book ever!!
Review: After reading the Sorceror's Stone, I couldn't wait for the sequel. In fact I didn't. My dad ordered it for me from amazon.uk.co and had it shipped to our door in the US. This book introduces new characters, like Gilderoy Lockhart, and continues with a very exciting story line. For an exciting book and a wonderful sequel this book is a must read. If you liked the Sorceror's Stone, you will love the Chamber of Secrets. Like the Sorcorer's Stone, it is so good you will never want to stop reading it until you are finished. I can't wait for the Prisoner of Azkabar to be released.

Summary: Not up to much I'm afraid
Review: After such a strong start with 'Philosopher's Stone' I was rather disappointed with this very weak entry. I've never read another book with such a straight-foward and plain mystery. I hope the rest of the series isn't going to be this way.

A mystery novel should set up the clues in contradiction of each other. The pieces here go together so easily that it ruins any intrigue there could have been. And now that we know our way around Hogwarts and know all the characters and teachers their should be a lot more room for more mystery and new ideas. But that doesn't happen.

It's rather weird that 'Chamber of Secrets' is longer than the first yet contains less mystery, imagination and invention. Even the final showdown is very basic and totally without spark. But if you liked the first then give it a shot.

Summary: Rowling continues to intrigue
Review: After taking awhile to swallow my pride to enjoy the first book, I naturally picked up the second one. As I then expected I proceeded to read the second one faster than I did the first one. Again, this was emaculately written and I was again enthralled with my 2nd year at Hogwarts. It is a quality read for anyone and age is not a factor. I would recommend it to anyone and everyone even slightly interested in reading period.

Summary: This is where Harry Potter's true adventures begin!
Review: After the less plot-driven "Sorcerer's Stone" I didn't expect anything dense, and was surprised by the attention to plot and development. But now that Rowling has introduced us to Harry's world she has free reign to gloss over the details and follow a single plotline. And what a plotline! I expected these books to be childish, but this one is actually creepy. When several students are petrified and a mysterious message proclaiming the chamber of secrets has been opened appears Harry must find the culprit before his friend Hermione is the next victim. It sounds vaguely like an episode of Scooby Doo - but trust me, it's not. I couldn't put it down once I had started it, and found myself staying up until four in the morning to finish it the same day I got it. My only complaint is that it had to end. If you have children you should read it to them - I think the whole family would enjoy it. I know that this is the sort of book that I would have loved to have heard back when my father used to read to us.

Summary: BETTER than the first!!!
Review: After watching the movie and reading the first book, I borrowed Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets from a friend of mine. In this book, Harry Potter is now at his 2nd year of Hogwarts. However, just before leaving, he receives a mysterious visitor that warns him trouble will strike if he returns. Horror begins to brew in Hogwarts when the writing on the wall was revealed. "THE CHAMBER OF SECRETS HAS BEEN OPENED, ENEMIES OF THE HEIR, BEWARE." The mystery gets deeper and deeper as you read the book and I found myself trying to find out whom was behind it all and how and why it happened. Comparison with the first book, The Chamber of Secrets is far more captivating with its plot. There are more characters, more drama and therefore, more complicating. It's hard to even try to guess who's behind everything as the mystery unfolds. As always, I couldn't much predict anything (Heck, I even thought it was Percy the Prefect at one point) but J.K. Rowling, a complete genius, turns up an absolutely brilliant ending that probably NO ONE would have EVER guessed. Kids, however might find the ending a bit confusing but it shouldn't be a problem for most readers. All in all, this is a wonderful book and I found myself reading it 4 hours straight, without putting it down at all.

Summary: It's Okay,Not Bad
Review: Alex again. J.K. has another fascinating book. Maybe you don't, but I like the reptile idea.Snakes are cool! Chapter Sixteen is when you get parts of the puzzle solved.
