Rating: Summary: The Best Book Ever! Review: Hi, I'm Annie. I'm 8 years old, and even though Harry Potter is older than me, I can relate to him. I think that in this book the author did a great job on the details and how all the clues tied together in the end. I'm glad that even though in the first book Harry wasn't friends with Hermione the whole time, he is in this one. I like this book because it is fiction, and when I read a book like this it takes me out of the real world with all its confusion. I wish I could be in Harry Potter's world! Even though some people think this book is "dumb" and a "waste of time," I think it is a magical adventure that you can explore. I love it!

Rating: Summary: Is this really what we want to teach our kids? Review: Hmmmmm...let's see...it's okay to break rules if you're the "good guy", but not okay if you're the "bad guy"? It's okay for the Head of the Misuse of Muggle Artifacts to bewitch a muggle car as long as he's the father of one of the "good guys", but at the same time it's not okay for a governor on the school board to keep illegal items because he's the father of one of the "bad guys"--but the "good guy" can get away with it as long as he's got "the scoop" on what's under the "bad guy's" drawing-room floor (let's just completely ignore what's in the "good guy's" garage)? The "bad guy" looses his job for doing something illegal, but the "good guy" (who also did something illegal) doesn't? So, it's okay to "turn the tables" and use the same tactics on the "bad guys" as they used on you as long as you're the "good guy"? ...the ends justify the means? ...how Machiavellian. Is this REALLY what we want to teach our kids? Of course kids like these books...now they've got a hero that can break as many rules as he wants and get away with it. I would hope that anyone with a decent set of moral values wouldn't buy into the hype and buy this book. If you're a parent or a teacher, I would STRONGLY suggest that you read these books before allowing your children to read them and really think about whether or not you want your children influenced by the behavior in these books.
Rating: Summary: Even better than the first! Review: How could a reader not fall in love with Harry Potter? He is a part of all of us. The universal feelings of wanting to be accepted, to be liked and to be able to achieve great things are things that we can all relate to. I am an adult and I have read all three of the books that are out thus far and my imagination is soaring! J.K. Rowling keeps getting better and better as she writes. I only wish that Hogwarts would accept me for next years class! This series is destined to sit on the shelf along with other well read classics as The Lion, The Witch and the Wardrobe, The Phantom Tollbooth and The Wizard of Oz. A wonderful way to teach kids that it is okay to dream.
Rating: Summary: Another Great one! Review: How does Rowling do it! This is another great Harry Potter book! It keeps you on the edge of your seat while you try and find out who is killing everybody! This book is another page turner and I highly reccomend it!
Rating: Summary: THE BEST BOOK OUT THERE TODAY!!!! Review: HOW DOSE SHE DO IT, IT IS AMAZING. THIS BOOK TOOK ME PLACES I HAVE NEVE BEEN WITH A BOOK. IT GAVE ME A NEW LOOK ON READING AND WRITING. I CAN'T WAIT TILL I CAN READ HARRY POTTER AND THE CHAMBER OF SECRETS.
Rating: Summary: Harry Potter Review: How would you like it if you could use magic? Well in this book, Harry Potter and the Chamber Of Secrets, by J.K Rowling, a boy named Harry Potter goes to Witchcraft and Wizardry School, which is called Hogwarts. Harry enjoys his school a lot because he thinks it's his home. He flies on a broomstick and does magic. Every year something happens. His friends Ron and Herminie always help him out. Half way through the school year Harry and his friends start to get suspicious about the chamber and what's down there. Herminie figured out what was down there, it's the chamber of a basilic. A basilic is a snake and Harry can talk to snakes. The snake starts to petrify people. It even took Ron's little sister Ginny down in the chamber. I really liked this book more than the others, not because it's shorter, but it's more interesting. If you haven't read any of them, at least read this one. I would recommend this book for ages 7 and up and for people who like mysteries and fantasy.
Rating: Summary: The Best Book of all Times! Review: I absolutely adored this book! This, and the other two, are already clasics! Harry Potter's amazing world and adventures should have their own little place in everyone's hearts. In this book, Harry and his friends are starting a new year at hogwarts school of witchcraft and wizardry. After a few weeks, things go haywire. A creature from the Chamber of Secrets, built by Slazar Slytherin, is back in school, after 50 years. Only certain people can open the chamber. Only certain people with a gift of talking to snakes. It is Harry's duty to prove to everyone that he or his friend the gamekeeper are not guilty of committing such a crime... Some people say that this book series is a bad influence because of the tendency of witchcraft and violence. I am not about to say it doesn't express such things. All I am going to say is that it really really stinks that some people have to be torn away from such wonderful books just because of people who haven't read them and don't understand how touching they really can be in the lives of many kids like myself.
