Summary: Fantastic Series
Review: Usually in series or in a triology, the first book is very good and then the second is good and the third is not bad and so on, but here we have a sequel which is as good as the first book. I dont know why it is placed in the childrens section , a must for all people of all ages, anyone with a little bit of imagination

Review: Very few sequels are better than the original, but Chamber of Secrets surpassed Sorceror's Stone by far! Rowling spins a intriging mystery that will keep you guessing up to the last few pages! Harry's adventures are perfect for everyone! Don't listen to the people who had the nerve to give this book one or two stars, they have no idea what they're talking about! This book is a wonderful read!

Review: Want to end the TV addiction in your family? Get a copy of the audio versions of the Harry Potter books and you'll never know what hit you! Every kid who drives in our car wants to move to our house! My daughter and I have been listening to the first and second Harry Potter books (Sorceror's Stone and Chamber of Secrets) on both audiotape and CD for weeks and weeks now. By that, I mean, that once we finish one, we put the other one on, and have continued to go back and forth at her request. I don't know how long this can last, but I agree that nothing else quite measures up afterwards! The reader, Jim Dale, is somehow able to communicate at least one or two DOZEN characters without any duplication and perfectly captures the style and personality of each of the characters without any loss of how you imagine them. What a treat! Each character has a perfectly appropriate voice and tone and loses absolutely nothing from the book. Quite the contrary, we are both hearing new things that we must have missed the first time we read the books as we are endlessly entertained and amused. We listen whenever we are driving in the car, or drawing or doing crafts, while laughing out loud, crying, and giving each other funny looks! We have even found ourselves sitting outside the movies, lessons, and our own driveway, without being able to move until we come to the end of a chapter. No matter how many times you have read the books, I guarantee the audio versions will give you a new perspective on the stories and/or reveal something which you didn't already know from your reading. Besides, it is a pleasure separate and apart from reading the books yourself. The art of reading out loud is not entirely lost--you only have to listen to these audiotapes to realize that the TV can never compete with this type of reading out loud! Share this with your family--YOU'LL NEVER LOOK BACK!

Review: We are sisters who loooooooove this book! We have a new puppy and still we found time to read each captivating page of the Harry Potter book, it's just so good that Sophie had to play by herself for a little bit. How do some people have the second copy already? Those lucky rascals! We wish we had the second copy but no worries because we shall most definately snag it on June 2nd and we advise all literate folks to do the same (and read the book to their friends who can't read yet). We await the movie and the future books in the series with anxious anticipation! Buy this book from amazon.com and go on a harry potter vacation! WE PROMISE YOU WILL NOT BE SORRY!Go Harry! Summary: Books on Tape = Perfect for a long car ride
Review: We drove from VA to IL for Thanksgiving and having this and book #1 made the trip so much fun. I've read the books but my husband just doesn't have enough time so this was perfect for him. We really enjoyed the guy who read (Jim Dale), he did a great job with a large variety of characters. I just can not say enough about how great this was to have on a long drive. Sitting in horrible traffic was so much more tolerable with this! My husband keeps telling me what a great idea it was to get them!

Summary: Not a book for children.
Review: We have read this book and feel it has no place in the hands of children. This book is at best an introduction into witchcraft.It reaches out to children with tales of sorcery and spells. It glorifies revenge.It puts down family values and their concept. The main character's parents are blown up and murdered. The book states that "Death is the next Great Adventure". This book is close to being banned in 5 states and rightfully so.Our children in this day in age need to embrace family values and be taught to treasure life.

Summary: Harry Potter is the greatest, most fantstic, book ever!
Review: We liked the whole book of Harry Potter and when you read it I think you will like the part when Harry battles evil Lord Voldimort. As you read it you will meet people who burp up slugs and giant spiders, surprising attacks, diaries that write to you,and people who can talk Parseltung. We really, really, REALLY like this book so much that we think its better then Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone. We suggest you read this book. Your friends, Kyle & Emily. (-:

Summary: Our sincere thanks to J.K. Rowling -- and Gail!
Review: We owe a debt of gratitude to our niece Gail Dornenburg, who turned us on to the Harry Potter series last summer. We'd never heard of them, but Gail was so enthusiastic about the books that we went straight to Amazon to order one. When we saw how high the books' sales rankings were, we realized that Gail was on to a phenomenon -- so we ordered all three! Once we finished reading the books aloud to each other, right before drifting off to sleep, we started all over and have been reading them again. (And yes, our order has already been placed for Book #4.) J.K. Rowling's imagination is an international treasure!

Review: We read this book in only 4 days! My brother and I read it together. We love Harry Potter and we talked about his adventures all night. This book was exciting. I liked the part when Harry, Ron and Hermione went to the Death Day party.

Summary: Excellent,exciting but too intense for some young readers.
Review: We started to read this to a 7-year old, who also loved the first Harry Potter book, but we had to stop because of the intensity of the adventure. The age guidelines, 9-12, seem appropriate, but you have to know your child's capacity for excitement, fantasy and for being scared. The humor is wonderful and we continue to laugh at some of the passwords, situations and characters.
