Summary: It's the BEST!!!!!
Review: This new Harry Potter book is so good!!! Unbelieveably, this one is even better than the first. I cant wait till she releases Prisoner of Azkbar!!!

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: Even better than the first book
Review: This novel goes right into the action and does not have the really slow beginning of the first book. Of course, we know Harry and his friends now. But Ms. Rowlings seems to have stopped practicing and is doing a really good job here. I am an adult and I thoroughly enjoyed this book. And the Harrymania has achieved one good thing: even kids that do not usually read discover books now, and they get to know what an exciting pastime reading actually is.

Summary: Amazing, WOW
Review: This novel was much darker and more mysterious than its sequls without losing its characterization and appeal. The mystery kept you anxious to turn the page, and the villain was obvious and unexpected at the same time. This is by far my favorite "Harry" novel up to date. PS Who came up with the 9-12 age limit. I'm in high school, and all my friends have read or are reading this book, as well as the parents and teachers. The story and conflicts are timeless and ageless. Keep writing, J. K.

Summary: Hard to Put Down--Really 4 and a half stars
Review: This one is just as difficult to put down as the first one. This one is so well written that it can be read alone, but I still recommend reading the first. While the author does give background information, she doesn't bog this book down in what happened before. This book details Harry's second adventurous year at Hogwarts. There is yet another mystery for Harry and his friends to unravel. Mystery and magic rolled into one. Sci-fi and mystery lovers should feel right at home with this book--this series. I gave this book only 4 stars because it's not quite as good as the first one. It's hard to recreate the original feeling of being introduced to the school, wizardry, etc. But the book does really deserve 4 and a half.

Summary: EXCELLENT!!!
Review: This one is scarier than the first, but still, just as good and funny! I think there's more mystery, but there is soooo much humor. I like the perky, dark arts teacher. This one makes more sense, though, if you read Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone, which is the first book.

With the return of all the main characters, which are (just to remind you) Harry, (of course) Ron, Hermione, Hagrid, Dumbledore, Voldemort, and of course all the teachers, and two new characters, one who will probably return in the third book. (I haven't read it yet) I really can't wait to read all seven of the books! These are so wonderful!

Summary: Great!!
Review: This one was extremely good, much better than #1! I laughed, I cried, I shuddered, I recoiled with fear...actually, I was afraid of bathrooms for weeks after reading it. Harry is in his 2nd year at Hogwarts, and he ends up being accused of more than one thing. Unfortunately, he is annoyed by both Gilderoy Lockhart and Colin Creevy in this book. But it's good nevertheless. A must-read!

Summary: The review of Harry Potter and the Chamber of secrets.
Review: This review is about Harry and his friends going on another great adventure.
Harry is yet again back at his Aunt and Uncle's house and things aren't looking too good for him. His Uncle is having a very big night and Harry has to stay in his room to find a little strange House Elf called Dobby. Dobby tries to persuade young Harry not to go but Harry is having none of it.
Harry had a little mis-hap with his Uncle and is now barracaded in his own room. Lckily Ron his bestfriend saves him by flying a flying car. Harry then lived with Ron and his family till the rest of the summer.
Harry and Ron reach the train station to find that the gateway to the train is blocked. They take the flying car to catch up with the train but find themselves at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry.
You will have to find out the rest, when you read the book yourselves!!!!!!!!

Summary: Good book, marred only by sloppy editorial assistance
Review: This second book also shows humor and imagination, but Rowling deserves to have her publisher hire an editor to correct things like the punctuation of dialogue. One does not sniff an entire sentence. One might speak an entire sentence and then sniff.

In addition, how about if the publisher fires the person responsible for dumbing down the first title for the American audience. "Philosopher's Stone" has a specific meaning, which is not present in the revised title.

Summary: Harry's New life, second year
Review: This second book in the Harry Potter series is just as action packed and fun to read as the first. There are more details of the Dursleys, Harry's horrid Aunt, Uncle and Cousin and a number of interresting meetings and new friends.

Old friends join with Harry in his adventures, he recives a new gift to help him out at school which compliments the invisibility cloak he recived in the last book. A depressed ghost, and a house goblin are also influentual in Harry finding out the dangerous secret, and solving it.

Summary: Even better!
Review: This second book in the Harry Potter was much better than the first. I was not at al impressed with Sorcerer's Stone and did not understand what all the hubbub was about until I had read the sequel. The plot line is much better, thought the final scenes are a little weaker. The character development is also much better. One of my favorite things about this series is the three main characters, Ron, Hermione and of course Harry. They really do interact as though they were 11, 12 and 13 years old.
