Summary: Harry's second year at Hogwarts is even more eventful!
Review: The story begins at Harry's 12th birthday - he's home for the summer with the uncaring Dursleys. New characters are introduced, starting with Dobby, an elf-slave who reminds me an awful lot of Yoda and Jar-Jar Binks from the Star Wars movies.

The book is every bit as engrossing as the first one, though much darker with more frightening events - spells cast on children; giant spiders and serpents; a violent Quidditch match and a bit of bloodshed. It made me wonder if younger children should be guided through the story. For adults and young adults, it is fine.

I like how there is a bit of humor injected but it isn't as frequent as in the first book. The loyalty of Harry and his friends is admirable, however they do seem to disregard rules and distrust adults a lot and take matters into their own hands.

Harry is destined for greatness, however, and I'm off to read book 3!

Summary: Whoa- It's a whopper
Review: The story is complex, but I can tell you it's great. Ron's Flying Car rules. The book's details are extraordinary. Now, some parts grossed me out, and that blew up almost a star.
Returning characters are fun, but I loved Lockhart. I'd have to say my fave character in this one is the Vile Tom Riddle. It's fun to know a little backstory of mysterious characters.

Summary: It's a fun read......................
Review: The story of Harry Potter continues. Beginning three months after volume one began, Harry is back at his terrible relatives the Dursleys and is once again miserable. He is extremely upset becasue Ron and Hermoine, his two best friends from school have not written him a letter for the whole summer. Then on the day after his birthday, (where he got nothing) and his uncle is having a very important party to negotiate a deal, a house elf arrives and tells Harry he cannot go back to Hogworts because dreadful things will happen if he returns. Harry refuses and goes back to school anyway. I am not givng anymore information because this second volume to the HP series is just as good as the first. Although the school settings and the plot lines may ahve been trying to send some sort of mention about political corruption, I found this a rather fun read and was begging for more. With each continuting volume, Ms. Rowling is acquiring more and more fans and should have this one flying off the shelves and being cherished and savored.

Summary: just what if...
Review: The title itself hints at something far darker than the first book in this series. I loved it even more for that. It is through some kind of magic the Rowling transports us into this mythical world, making us believe in giant spiders, terrible monsters and ghosts. After reading the first two books i found myself reaching for a 'wand' trying to zap annoying characters around me. It is difficult, sometimes, to not believe that there are two types of humans after reading this book and it is the the way that Rowling brings us so close to Hogwarts and this world that doesn't really exist that makes Harry Potter books an adventure in a nutshell.

Just what if, all this -was- real?

Summary: The Mysterious Dungeon
Review: The title of the book I am reviewing is called The Chamber of Secrets by J.K. Rowling. This is a Fantasy and Adventure book for 9-12 year olds. The main characters are Harry Potter, Ron, and Hermoine. Harry Potter is a 12 year old wizard who lives with his Aunt and Uncle who love their son but hate Harry. He goes to Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry in London. He stays with Ron and Hermoine, his best friends, on the train to Hogwarts each year. This year at Hogwarts, something very strange is going on. People are getting preserved...they look into the eyes of some strange creature and become petrefied with fear. What is this creature and how do they stop it? If you just have to find out, you'll HAVE to read the series.

Summary: Smooth transition from Harry Potter & Sorcerer's Stone
Review: The transition from one book to the other is a smooth one. Its like reading one continuous adventure. It is so exciting to watch Harry, Ron and Hermione grow up at Hogwarts!

Summary: "A great book for all ages"
Review: The way Rowling mixes mystery, magic, and comedy is phenomanal and the fine details and descriptions take you into a whole other world. The complication of Harry's backstory and his struggle to defeat Voldemort blend together nicely to create a suspenseful and compelling novel. The Chamber of Secrets is a great sequel to the Sourcerer's Stone.

Summary: a great book for those who love reading and even if you dont
Review: The whole series was full of adventure, mystery, and but of course magic.I absolutely could not put this masterpiece down.I have read tons of books in my 15 years of living but this series consisted of the best books i have ever read.Even my little brother who absolutely dispises reading loved it. I can't help but to give it up to the fair lady whom could touch me so through but a book .

Summary: Incredible
Review: The worst thing about this book is that it ends. I was so mad at myself for reading it in one sitting that I started reading it again (so far I've read it six times) until I can get the next book. The story here is flawless. Even better than the first book. Not only has Rowling written a great children's book but a great mystery. Just when you think you've figured it out, you're wrong and then you're wrong again and then finally you'll slap your head for not seeing the obvious.

I also have to commend Rowling for her use of classical mythology. Parseltongue, a balisk, a phoenix! My god by the time this series is over I wouldn't be surprised if Lord Voldemort takes the form of a bull and carries away dear Hermoine!

My best advice is if you haven't read this book yet buy the next two when you get this otherwise you'll die of frustration!

Summary: 200 pages in just a few hours
Review: There are few books in this world which can really grab you and make it so you don't want to stop reading. While there is a lot of value in slower study, it is necessary for an avid reader to take these pleasure trips. Rowling is very talented in keeping one intrigued and pleased by the story.

Of course this book takes us through Harry's second year at Hogwarts which begins with a crash landing in a charmed Muggle car with his buddy Ron, which interestingly saves their lives later on. The Slytherin Quidditch team has got newer and faster brooms and are a real threat this year, but Harry's skill proves to be too much. However Slytherin is in full power in other ways. Muggle Born wizards and witches being petrified all over the place. This leads Harry and his friends through a mass of riddles to find the truth, eventually finding some interesting new information about Lord Voldemort.

My greatest impression with this book is similar to the first. I couldn't figure it out. The villain was almost undetectable and I was persuaded several times to change my mind about who the real pureblood heir to Slytherin (the one who was responsible for releasing the beast who was doing the petrifying) was. The ending was unique and though I preferred the ending to the first book this was fascinating as well.
