Summary: Once again, Harry Potter bewitches the young and old!
Review: Boring Muggles need not apply. For everyone else, grab this enchanting tale of magic and mystery, and let your imagination take flight! It is now Harry's second year at Hogwarts, and we are reunited with Ron, Hermione, and the Gryffindor gang. Before leaving the horrid Dursley home, however, an elf named Dobby warns Harry not to return to his beloved school, or problems will arise. Harry does not heed Dobby's warning, and heads to Hogwarts without a second thought. As promised, disaster strikes! Harry's friends begin to turn to stone, and nobody knows who is causing this to occur. Harry must find and capture the culprit...before it's too late! If you love excitement, thrills, and chills, don't miss "Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets."

Summary: These stories would make great movies!!!
Review: Both Harry Potter books are fantastic!! They appeal to people of all ages. I agree with the reader from UCLA in that Tim Burton would be a great director for these books/movies. He could capture all of the fun and strangeness of the school and characters. I cannot wait for the next Harry Potter book and am a little upset that they will only be released once a year.

Summary: I looooved it!
Review: Both Harry Potter books were the best books I ever read and J. K. Rowling is the best author! This new book was very exciting. I hope she keeps writing more books so I can read more about Harry Potter! --Emily, age 9

Summary: Great for reading to kids of all ages, interest retaining.
Review: Bought the books for my grandchildren 7 and 9, they can't wait for me to visit and read the next chapter. Keeping them interested for 1-2 hours @ a time. Parent's are going to finish reading the first book, then 9 year old wants to read next book.

Summary: Good follow-up book to first book, with reader anticipation
Review: Breath of fresh reading is the Harry Potter series with plenty of scope to develop into a whole series of books. This is what children of this reading level have been waiting for and I take my hat off to Joanne Rowling for unleashing her great depth and ability in encapturing children's imagination. My daughter has never read a book so avidly before picking up this and the previous book and she awaits with anticipation the release of the third in the series. As someone who works in libraries it is refreshing to read new ideas and I applaude Joanne Rowling's ability to develop her characters and plots which leave the reader waiting for the next edition. A well deserved recommendation for any children's book award and like my daughter I have thoroughly enjoyed her refreshing new books...keep writing Joanne!! As to the person who criticises her reviewing characters in her second book "chamber of secrets", this is a necessary element in any sequel when people perhaps read out of order which cannot be avoided at times, and in my opinion, the review of the characters is well done. Try and be more positive!

Summary: Harry Potter is absolutly suberb.

Summary: Maybe not the best...
Review: But certainly an excellent story. I admit, I am not a great fan of fantasy/science fiction, but I just had to see what all the talk was about. Although at times the dialogue was a little grim for youngsters, I found myself enthralled with the characters and their adventures.

If you have time for a quick read, I would certainly recommend this book, and all of the other Harry Potter stories.

Summary: How could it get better?
Review: But it did! I was prepared to be forgiving of the second of J.K.Rowling's Harry Potter books, because sequels are just never as good as their progenitor. WRONG WRONG WRONG. I have never been more delighted to eat my words. Harry's second year at Hogwarts was just as fabulous as his first. Once again, I kept thinking I had it all figured out, only to be caught by the twist at the end.Once again I was staying up hours later than any responsible adult to finish three more chapters. Once again, I suffered through a workday wondering what on earth was happening to Harry & Co. and what that rotten Draco Malfoy would do next. My only regret after finishing The Chamber of Secrets is that you can only read it for the first time once. I envy all those who still have that experience ahead of them.

Summary: OK so I'm in my thirties...
Review: BUT who cares. I, too, can still enjoy a great book when I read one, even if it is a kids' book! Enough with this nonsense about Rowling and her so called publicity blitz...for once there is a series of books worthy of the media attention; on a par with Tolkien and L'Engle. Any book that encourages children to turn off the TV and read is a classic in my opinion. Harry is my new best friend! Makes me wish I weren't a muggle!

Summary: Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets ( Book 2 )
Review: By: Karina Padilla

Harry Potter is a typical 13 year old wizard , attending Hogwarts school of magic , but at school something was really wrong. The champer of secrets was opened , and everyone was being turned to stone.By some really bad timing Harry was found at most of the crime scenes , and now is feared of and accused. Will he prove his innocence , and catch the culprit , or monster. Before everyone is turned to stone.By the help of his friends he just might do it.I loved this book , and the ending was the most surprising and unexpected.I highly recommend this book , and the rest of the Harry Potter series !!!
