Summary: Rolling right along...
Review: Installment #2 of the Harry Potter series is a very good book. Again, Harry still has to live at home with the "muggles" during the summer. But, in the fall, he returns to the magical world where he is learning to become a wizard. I have thoroughly enjoyed this book; it continues where Book #1 left off. If you liked Book #1, you will like this book! I encourage and recommend this book

Summary: The train to Hogwart or A-not A
Review: Is Hogwarth in the same dimension of the Muddle-World or not ? They catch the train in a Carrolian Platform Nine and Three-Quarters,who can be reached by pushing your cart at a dividing barrier and hoping (how Douglas Adamish !)So,you think you enter a different dimension, right? How could then Harry and Ron in a car (flying magically,ok,but still in the Muddle World) follow it to its destination ?If it IS in the Muddle World, how can the train find is way through the complicated web of binaries and railway exchanges of the London Station without crashing on another train ? And the train makes no intermediate stops to other towns? All the students of Hogwarth are supposed to go to London? How can Hogwarth be in the Muddle World and,at the same time, not be?Author,I want Logic !And in any Universe whit Real Wizards, they would be the ruling class, and not be shunned like Harry Potter ! Hey,I'm not saying I did'nt like it.But a bit of logic would have helped,in constructing a different world.J.K.Rowlings look very promising, but shs's got to learn from Tolkien,Asimov and Vance. And Beowulf, well, was another thing.Still, the charachters are wonderfully rendered. But why should the villains be so obvious ?

Summary: Harry Potter and the Chmaber of Secrets
Review: It begins with a house elf, Doby, coming to Harry's relatives house, warning him that there are many dangers at Hogwarts this year. While in school he hears a voice saying "Kill, Kill", and he finally figures out he is a Parcelmouth. While trying to find the Chamber of Secrets, they find a writing on a wall written in blood. There are many new characters introduced in this book like, a new Defense Against the Dark Arts , Pro. Gilderoy Lockheart, a ghost called Moaning Myrtle who lives in the girl's bathroom, and a new seeker for the Slytherin team, Draco Malfoy! Summary: equal to the first book
Review: It had to be five stars...because how else can you rate a book (or the whole series) when you can't seem to stop reading, from the moment the book starts until the last page...After finishing (in one sitting) the first book in the Harry Potter series, I ran out to buy number two, which I also read as quick as possible. The characters that I came to know & like in the first book were all there (Harry, Hagrid, Hermione & Ron), the humour was there, & of course the mystery was there...culminating in an interesting & unexpected ending. If I absolutely HAD to look for a flaw in book number two, the only thing I'd say is that it's not that different from book 1. And therefore it doesn't take you so much by surprise as the first one does. The third book in the series (The prisoner of Azkaban) is, I believe, much better than the first 2 books. But anyway: these are all details: the point is that the Harry Potter books are clear, pure fun & even if one is a little better or a little worse than the other, all in all, the four books (up till now) are all very worth reading.

Summary: Not just for kids
Review: It hardly seems necessary to write another review for this wonderful book. I am an adult, and my 12-year-old niece and I have made a summer project of reading and re-reading all four volumes in this series so far. I love these books because they remind me of the best children's literature that I read as a child and I find I can still become completely involved in these adventures because they create a whole world that is fantastical but makes perfect sense within itself. The wonderful inventiveness of these books amazes me and always keeps me guessing. I especially liked the Mandrakes in this book. To say too much about this book would be to give away the plot, but this is simply great fun reading for readers of all ages.

Summary: Exciting Book!
Review: It is an exciting adventure. I liked the characters. It is better than his first book because it has more things happening in it. I would read Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone first, because it explains more what happened in the first part of his life.

Summary: It is cool
Review: It is cool. My teacher is reading it to us, but she isn't done yet. I heard some people say anyone over 10 who read this book should be ashamed. I've read the first book, and mind you, I'm in 6th grade! I'm liking the second one too. My sister has read the first one too. I think she likes it, because she's reading it in the morning, and at dinnertime. She is in 8th grade. Also, lots of her friends read them, Harry Potter is a talked bout guy! .....there is nothing to be ashamed of!!!
