Summary: A book full of excitement.
Review: In Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets J. K. Rowling has mixed clever new characters with characters from her last book. This book is every bit as good as Harry Potter and the Sorcerers Stone! I quickly finished the book and gave it to my dad to read. He has only read three chapters and is already as enchanted as I was. My entire 4th grade class at school has been in love with the book since my teacher brought it to school the day she got it knowing before she read it that it was going be just as good as the last. I can't wait for the next Harry Potter book and another exciting year at Hogwarts.

Summary: Hop on the Hogwarts Express!
Review: In Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets, can Harry survive another year at Hogwarts? This year strange things are happening at Hogwarts, students attacked,a crazy elf named Dobby, and Harry hearing voices in the halls. Who or what is making them? I would recommend this book to anyone who likes mystery and adventure.I believe that almost everyone who has read this book would say that they loved it. I enjoy reading books by J.K. Rowling, because she gives the story a life. She makes you feel like your in the book, like your right around the corner listening and watching the characters.

Summary: Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets
Review: In Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets, Harry is to start his new year at Hogwarts. After escaping from the Dursley's home (his Muggle relatives who treat him as though he is nothing at all and despise even the word magic), he stays with Ron Weasly, his best friend from Hogwarts, the remainder of the summer. He is then visited by a strange house-elf, Dobby, who warns Harry to not go back to Hogwarts and that many bad things were to happen, but he could not tell Harry what they were. Harry ignored his warnings and went to the train station to catch the Hogwarts Express. As he and Ron try to go through gate 3 and a quarter (a gate inbetween 3 and 4 that Muggles cannot see; one must lean on it to go through) it mysteriously seals. The Hogwart's Express pulls away and Ron and Harry have missed their chance to get to Hogwarts. Ron tells Harry to get into the car because his father has bewitched the car so that it is able to fly and stay invisible. They fly the car smoothly until the invisibility shield is broken and the car starts to die. They land straight into the Whomping Willow, a tree on campus that hits anything that comes near it. They are nearly smashed and Ron's wand breaks, and his family hardly has enough money to supply his sister with the things she needs for school. This is when strange things start to happen. Overall, this book was very good, very suspenseful, and just like the book before it: excellent. I definitely recommend this book to other's.

Summary: Just as good as the first
Review: In Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets, Harry Potter finds himself back at home with the Dursleys, who have firbidden him to mention Hogwarts. Mr. Dursley is determined to make a deal with another businessman regarding his drill company, and he wants his house to look as perfect and "normal" as possible. He has Harry hide in his room while the businessman and his wife visit the Dursleys. But that's not what happens. Instead, Harry finds himself in trouble when Dobby, a house elf, shows up in his room. Dobby is determined to make sure that Harry doesn't go back to Hogwarts. When Harry refuses, Dobby decides to attempt to get Harry in trouble with the Ministry of Magic by messing with Aunt Petunia's pudding, which he sends flying over the Dursleys and thier guests. Harry gets an "Improper Use of Magic Notice, " but decides to go to school anyway. He and his friend Ron find themselves unable to get through the wall that leads to platform Nine-and-three-quarters, and opt to take Ron's fathers "bewitched" Ford Anglia.
But Dobby is right, especially when Ms. Norris, the caretaker's cat, is found petrified. The terror continues, and whoever is petrifing students keeps it up. Harry, Ron, and their friend Hermione are unable to unlock the mystery behind the Chamber of Secrets, until the very end, that is.

A very well done book until the very end, Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets is a very highly recommended read.

Summary: Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets
Review: In Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets, Harry, a twelve year old boy is continuing another fascinating year at Hogwarts School for Witchcraft and Wizardry. This second book in the J.K. Rowling series is a must read! Not only do the main characters Harry Potter, Ron Weasley and Hermione Granger set out to solve a new problem but, they realize that somebody has opened the Chamber of Secrets. Through trial and error our heroes search for clues to save one of their friends. Again Harry must put his life in danger to save others who are important to him. J.K. Rowling has introduced us to some new characters in book two. We meet a magical elf, Dobby, a new professor, Gilderoy Lockheart and finally Ginny Weasley, Ron's younger sister who joins the famous trio. I liked this book because it was a true page turner. As the reader you can search for possible clues along with Harry, Ron and Hermione. I would recommend this book to anyone over seven years old. J.K. Rowling did an excellent job on this book because it's exciting and full of adventure. I have learned from this book that life is full of tough challenges and problems. No matter how hard it is you have to be brave and trust in yourself to do the right thing.

Summary: Harry and His Growth in The Chamber of Secrets
Review: In J.K Rowlings second book, Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets, she takes off
right where she ended. Rowlings again mixes adventure, fantasy, and horror with Harry
and his friends Hermonia and Ron. The problems pile up from the very beginning. It
starts off with Harry's terrible birthday , in which he turns twelve. Again living with his
Aunt and Uncle, he is mistreated only after they find out that he is not allowed to use his
powers while not at Hogwarts. With this he receives a warning not to return and is locked
up until school begins again in the fall. He is saved from imprisonment from the
cupboard by his friend Ron and his brothers to live with them until their return to
Hogwarts in the fall for their second year.
As in the first book Harry's life is again threatened. Of course Harry ignores the
danger and returns to school where students are being turned into statues. Harry is the
number one suspect! Harry struggles with his conscience because he does not know if he
is a good wizard or a dark wizard.
Just like the first book, the Chamber of Secrets draws the reader into a magical
world full of surprises and adventures. There are giant spiders, flying cars, and evil
villains lurking the campus. Three new characters, Professor Lockhart , Ginny Weasley,
Ron's sister, and Colin Creevey, a "little first year", are introduced. They are not as
interesting characters as Hermonia and Ron, but they show once again the gradual
maturity that Harry is showing as he exposes Professor Lockhart as a liar, and phony,
tolerates Ginny, and mentors the "little first year."
The ending is again predictable but exciting with a lesson. Harry takes on powers
bigger and stronger than him, growing older and much wiser in the process. With these
encounters of knowledge he learns that problems do not always just disappear not even
for wizards.

Summary: Good Book
Review: In J.K. Rowling's Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets. Harry and Ron are finding them selves in more trouble again. When ever something bad happens Harry just happens to be right around the corner. The authors purpose of writing this book is to prove that you need to work together just Harry, Ron, and Hermione did. This book is definitely worth reading if you read the first one.

Summary: the magic continues
Review: In J.K. Rowling's sequel to _The Sorcerer's Stone_ we learn more of the magical world of Harry Potter. It is simply delightful to return to Harry's second year at Hogwarts, meeting new characters like the Herbology professor, Ms Sprout, or the new Defense Against the Dark Arts teacher, Gilderoy Lockheart, and the Whomping Willow, and to learn more about Hermione and the Weasleys. The imagination of Ms. Rowling allows adults (such as myself) to again feel the magic of youth.

In _The Chamber of Secrets_, the plot centers around Hogwarts students who are being turned to stone, and a possible plot to once again harm our intrepid hero, Harry. Rowling's prowess at writing a mystery is just as adept as her writing of fiction. It is simply a delighful read and I highly recommend it.
