Summary: No matter your age
Review: Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone is an excellent book for any age reader. Harry is nothing more than an eleven-year-old wizard, but he has charmed his way into the hearts of millions of people already, old and young alike. If you read the first book in this outstandingly breathtaking series, you will ache to get your hands on the next. J.K. Rowling uses wonderful imagery and character descriptions as she unravels the story of a young wizard in a brand new world he'd never heard of until he became a part of it. I agree with Cho Chang in that from the moment you pick up this book to read, you can feel the energy of Harry's experiences. Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone is like a spell in itself. You will be bewitched from the beginning when poor Harry is sleeping in a cupboard under the stairs in the house of his "no-necked" uncle, "horse-faced" aunt, and "pig-like" cousin. From a seventeen-year-old girl's standpoint, it is a great book and definitely worth reading, no matter how old or young the reader.

Summary: Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone is an exciting book.
Review: Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone is an exciting and suspensful book. It follows the journeys of a young boy, Harry Potter, and his career of magic. As a young baby, Harry proved to be invulnerable to the evil sorcerer Voldemort's spells, though his wizard parents were killed. Voldemort was driven away. This encounter with evil magic left him with a strange lightening- bolt shaped scar on his forehead. A wizard named Albus Dumbledore, a witch named Minerva McGonogall, and the huge groundskeeper Hagrid decided to leave him to be raised by his aunt and uncle, the snobby Dursleys. Harry is forced to live in a closet and be tortured by his cousin, Dudley Dursley. But one day, a letter comes to Harry inviting him to be a student at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardy, brought by friendly Hagrid and an owl. When he boards the train to Hogwarts with his wand and his owl securly with him, he meets characters like clumsy Neville, poor Ron, evil Malfoy, and talented Hermione. At Hogwarts, he is accepted into Gryffindor House, and begins his life of magic. When you read this book you find about interesting things such as the arial sport Quiddich, Fluffy the three-headed dog, a dragon baby, and even the mysterious Sorcerer's Stone. Why is someone trying to steal it? Could it be Voldemort come back? Pull up a chair, pick up your wand, and find out!

Summary: Terrible and overated
Review: Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone is boring. It has no point. It's only about magic and wands and secret passages. Also the characters are all stupid. I think some of the characters are put in just to make it longer. The book is also very long. Everything is described very well, but the description isn't needed. You might like Harry Potter if you believe in ghosts, goblins, magic, and bag guys that kill people with magic. You should not read this book. It will be a waste of the month it takes you to read it. Thank you for taking your time to read my review. I just saved you a month of misery in reading.

Summary: An enchanting, magical, fantasy thrill ride!
Review: HARRY POTTER AND THE SORCERER'S STONE is definitely much better than what I had expected it to be. My only complaint: Why did I wait so long to finally read this? I just finished reading this first book in the series and it is very, very good. We all know the story of Harry Potter, but for those who don't, this book introduces us to the world of Harry Potter. It's about a young orphan boy who lives with his mean aunt, uncle, and cousin. His bedroom is this small closet-like room at the bottom of the stairs and he hasn't had a birthday in thirteen years! But everything changes when Harry gets a letter from Hogwarts school, a school to train kids with wizardery and witchcraft. When he leaves to attend the school to train to become a wizard, he learns that there is more to life and even ends up making friends and learns how to create spells. This is a very fun relaxing book that is easy to read. It is long (and the other books are even longer), but it is fast-paste and extremely entertaining. I like how J.K. Rowling created all her unique characters from her own imagination. It is great fantasy with a British twist, since J.K. Rowling is British. It's the first book in the series (like I mentioned before) and a true classic. I love the way J.K. Rowling writes so much that I look up to her as an idol because I want to become a writer someday, too. I haven't gotten to the other books yet but I definitely will soon. And I can't wait to see the film, either because it looks just as excellent as the books and it looks like it follows the books pretty well, too. I have to say that I am not an obsessed Harry Potter fan and I don't really care about all the hype or the games and toys, etc., I just enjoy reading the books and will see (and probably enjoy) the highly anticipated film, too. If you haven't read this book yet than what are you waiting for? You'll love it so much that you'll want to desparately read the other books and see the film! Read this today! :-)

Summary: Fantastic!!!!!
Review: Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone is GREAT! It's like riding a roller coaster. It's a thrilling ride through a world of adventure. There are talking chess figures, magic mirrors and three headed dogs. However, along with all of the fantasy, there are wonderful life lessons for children and adults. This one book will leave you thirsty for another ride through Harry Potter's world in book number two.

Summary: The BEST Book Ever!!!!!!
Review: HARRY POTTER AND THE SORCERER'S STONE is great!!!! It keeps the reader happy and waiting to see what happens next! It's fiction, and yet you can still relate to a lot. My fav part was the first Quidditch game, but I liked the whole book, and the characters are really neat.
