Summary: Great
Review: Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone is a wonderful read for both children and adults. Of course, author J.K. Rowling is great at creating unforgettable characters and writing wonderful dialogue. Where she really excels, however, is in shaping the book's plot. The book is a real page-turner. Everyone I know who has read the book, be they child or adult, has been unable to put it down. While there are some other decent authors of children's fantasy, none of them have ever been as skillful at creating suspense as Rowling is.

Summary: "It's Magically Delicious!"
Review: HARRY POTTER AND THE SORCERER'S STONE is a wonderful romp into the mind of J.K. Rowling, whose own story is a remarkable one. A single mom on welfare, ex-school teacher, and unpublished writer penning this adventure on a table in a London café, makes this all the more, a magical tale. Today, we have "Pottermania", thanks to the release of the film version of the book. It is enough to make every "Muggle" snuggle next to a cozy fire and immerse themselves in the adventures of Hogwarts. By the way, a Muggle is a non-magical person, and Hogwarts is a school for training in wizardry.

The novel begins with Harry delivered by owl to the home of the Dursleys, his aunt and uncle, after the unfortunate death of his parents. The first several chapters describe his rocky relationship with them, until a new friend, Hagrid, enlightens him to his identity, and sweeps him away to Hogwarts. At Hogwarts, he finds some new friends who help him fight against dark forces led by... oops... I cannot mention his name.

Yes, Pottermania is alive and well in our Muggle world, even a kid in my PE class wanted to play "Quidditch" the other day. This becomes Harry's favorite pastime at Hogwarts, and he develops into an excellent "seeker"; nevertheless, it would be difficult to play the game in PE due to the lack of necessary equipment. Quidditch requires flying broomsticks and three important balls, the Quaffle, the Bludger, and the Golden Snitch. These items are unavailable at local sporting good stores, and most likely, would not meet budget demands.

Rowling is a creative genius and Harry Potter will become a classic series for both children and adults alike. It is magical fantasy along the lines of JRR Tolkien (LORD OF THE RINGS) and CS Lewis (CHRONICLES OF NARNIA) ultimately dealing with the battle of good versus evil. It is amazing there are those in our society who would strike fear in the hearts of parents about their children reading certain books. Potter has his critics as well, but remember, this is fictional entertainment, and by no means, will lead your kids into witchcraft and sorcery. If there are concerns, read them with your young ones and explain the differences; nevertheless, jump on the Hogwarts Express, and simply rejoice in the fact that our children are reading again!

Summary: Excellent Book! ; - )
Review: Harry Potter and The Sorcerer's Stone is a wondrous novel by J,K Rowling. Rowling is highly prolific and creative in her writing. She puts her feelings in the character's roles and it all gets really exciting. Rowling introduces her characters in a highly imagined fantasy, and makes them behave like real life people... Harry is a wizard whose parents were killed by an evil dark lord, Voldemort. Harry had a heavyhearted past left behind. He has a way of dealing with issues while trying to cope with his insatiable curiosity. Harry gets treated in a harsh way living with his Uncle Vernon, Aunt Petunia, and his spoiled cousin, Dudley. But one day his life would change when a special letter arrives. This letter would bring him to a new kind of world he never thought he could ever be in... Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone startes a new outlook of life. It hooks the reader wondering what is going to happen next in every catchy chapter. One will be fortunate to discover this novel and experience reading it, going through a thrilling and action packed three dimentional adventure with Harry and all the other characters... Have fun! Also try Rowling's other two books that are sequel to the 1st book adventure: Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets Harry Potter and the Prizoner of Azkaban I personally rate both 5 stars!

Summary: Definetely the best book ever!
Review: Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone is absolutely terrific! It is the best book I have ever read, even over the other Harry Potter books. The plot in this book is wild and crazy...what seems like the impossible comes true, and this book has the coolest characters, like Harry, Ron, Hermione, Hagrid, Professor Dumbeldore, and Lord Voldemort. And it's great how even outside of the main plot, there seems to be many small plots the characters engage in, which is very good so you are not stuck with the same old plot during the whole book. It's also neat how nearly everything in the book is totally different than anything we know, like wands, cauldrons, spells, even stones that can give you life forever. I love this book and recommend it to absolutely anybody! Thank you for reading my review.

Summary: Entrancing Read
Review: Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's stone is an all-time good read, especially for anyone who is interested in fantasy. JK Rowling's style of writing is unique and easy to read, with words to build a child's vocabulary, but not too hard to understand. She doesn't slur the reader with names of places and things, but gives you little enough to understand, but enough to keep you wanting more. She does not write in thick paragraphs where there isn't any good place to stop, but keeps her blocks to a reasonable length. Highly recommended.

Summary: Harry Get That Stone !
Review: Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone is an amazing and classic book. In parts of the book, it will bring a tear to your eye. In other parts, it is so funny you can't stop laughing. It is about how a boy had to live with his mean aunt and uncle. His life is terrible until Hagrid (a man from a wizarding school) comes to take Harry to Hogwarts. Harry finds out what really happens to his family, makes some friends, and couple enemies at the same time.
