Review: Everyone talks all about Harry Potter and I wonder what it is about Harry Potter that everyone loves. I decided to read the book and I was taken to a far away adventure! The whole style and language of the book was very vivid and touching. You have many funny moments with the Dursleys, but you also go on adventures with Ron and Hermione. You love Dumbledore, Hagrid, Ron, and Hermione, but most of all, you LOVE Harry. There are moments of fun and excitement, but at the same time there are very tense and shocking scenes, which makes you continue reading on, wondering what will happen next. The book also brings feelings that are hard to describe. Being a teenager, I have forgotten much from when I was young. But when I read this book, I regained my childhood. I remembered all of the feelings and thoughts a child could have. Harry Potter has the qualities of a young person, in which one can be confused, but also brave and strong. Reading this book brings much hope and courage for the reader as well. ALL ages will love this book. My father has been reading this book out loud to my family and all of my family loves it. We love the humor and I myself love the tensity, adventure, and everythin else in this book. We love Harry's friends, we get mad at his opponets, and we share the feelings. Wonder, amazement, suspense, courage, and fun can all be found in this quintessential book. This is a big must! You will purely love Harry!

Review: Everyone that loves magic and reading should read this book. I loved it SOOOO much!!! I loved the character Albus Dumbledore and also Hermoine. This book should DEFINITELY get a newberry honor award. I suggest that if it is available in hard cover and paperback, definitely get the hardcover because this one is a keepsake. I have copies of both the 1st and 2nd book and have already read each of them at least 3 times! So my over all point is- READ THE BOOK!!!!!

Review: Everyone, their kid brother and their great aunt said Harry Potter was the best thing they'd ever read. But the books came out one after the other here in the US and I was used to the "diminishing returns" phenomena of book series: the first book is great and then it's all down hill. Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone IS great. The characters are dead on and the plot is rock solid, but what I like best are the moments that hit you, when you are *so* in awe of Rowling's writing and her vision. Some lines are just so wryly funny, you know she must have had a great time writing it. And she really sweeps you up into it. When Harry (or any other character) is enthused, you'll be enthused. I still am! Everytime I look at a phone I'm floored by how ingenious we've been devising all these ways to get around not having magic! (Read it!) The MOST exciting moment for me was finishing the third book, the Prisoner of Azkaban. Everything starts coming together -- things you had no idea had anywhere to go when you read the first two. I really, REALLY started to feel for Harry. And although the climactic ending, and the emotional wringer it put me through, were more than you could ever ask for from any book, I am REALLY excited about where the series is going. When you finish it, you'll see there's still a lot of things for Harry to do, and the mischief he and Ron and Hermione can get into will only increase as they get more privileges with age. So far there is one book a year -- a year at Hogwart's, that is -- and there will be seven books. Since they started there at age 11 that makes a lot of sense. For once I don't wonder how an author will "stretch" the series "that far", I'm wondering how she can fit it all in! Harry Potter is going to do incredible things and it's going to be an incredible ride. You have to read this one to get on board, so do it: Jump in! Experiences this magical don't often occur in our Muggle world. Don't miss this one!

Review: Excellent Book! Fun! Full of Wisdom. Easy to read too. (I am more appreciative of that as I get older...) How to BALANCE Power and Happiness. Great book for Adults (and I've been told children enjoy it too!)This was the 2nd most inspiring book(series) I have read in the last couple years...The 1st most inspiring book - - Which I VERY highly recommend - - is called "WORKING ON YOURSELF DOESN'T WORK" - by Ariel & Shya Kane. It is also a Book of Magic - But the authors are pioneers of an easy yet extremely powerful approach to self-discovery and personal growth. In other words - How to have BALANCE in your life, between Success and Happiness. If you enjoyed Harry Potter - and you also are interested in psychology, self-help, or spiritual or inspiring ideas - then you must buy the Kane's book. It is more for adults, but if you are a teenager you might find it very valuable too. It is easy to read, yet profound and life changing ideas reside within...MAGIC and MORE MAGIC...

Review: Famous before he can talk, Harry Potter the son of a witch and a wizard has taken America by storm. When I recieved the book on Christmas day I had to finish that day, the story was so exciting and fast paced that hard as I tried I just couldn't put it down.
