Summary: Abracadabra!
Review: Wow! I loved reading the Harry Potter series. All three are excellent, exciting, and funny. In SORCEROR'S STONE, it starts a bit slow, but it quickly picks up a leads to a terrific ending. Don't quit! And don't hesitate to let your child read these books! Unless there's something wrong with him, he won't put down the book and start practicing witchcraft. The magic in here is not evil at all, it is in the author's talent for giving a fantastic new story that will captivate anyone's imagination. You can really relate to the different characters, and I'm sure they will develop more and more as the seven-book series continues. Great literature for the young and young at heart, don't discourage reading Harry Potter. I'm eagerly waiting the fourth book, THE DOOMSPELL TOURNAMENT, which comes out in April 2000. Don't pass this great series by!

Summary: I was skeptical at first but...
Review: Wow! I picked up a copy of Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone after seeing my 11 year old nephew reading it. (I was one of those paranoid Muggles who thought this book would be too influential on a young, vulnerable 11 year old brain.) Instead, I was quite pleased at the wonderous world Ms. Rowling has created. Now I can say, I'm totally hooked. I'm buying the entire set just because I REALLY want to follow Harry on his new (not to mention dangerous) adventures. :-) I'm 30ish and have had the opportunity to read many fantasy books over the years but I can't recall ever enjoying one as much as I have this series. Thanks to Ms. Rowling for such an enjoyable read. Looking forward to seeing what happens to Harry next! :-)

Summary: Believe the hype!
Review: Wow! That was my reaction once I finished this book. I couldn't believe how much I enjoyed it. I had haphazardly starting reading it as someone gave it to me as a gift. Now I could kick myself for waiting so long to jump on the bandwagon!

I am simply amazed that someone has such an imagination as this book reveals. It's most impressive. And believe me, I am not one for "magic" and/or children's books as I thought this was.

This book is beautifully written and really makes you care about the characters. Definitely worthy of the hype and attention that it has received!

Summary: wow! The first Harrry Potter book blew my mind!
Review: Wow! The first Harry Potter book blew my mind!

The first chapter in The Sorcerer's Stone is the main setting for all the books to follow! When you read this you enter a world of fantasy and reality. You see yourself as Harry and his friends. The adventures J. K. Rowling takes you on will last you a life time!

What a great book for anyone to read! If you are 98 or 12, please pick this book up and start reading the life of Harry Potter.

Summary: Fills the Heart of a Child with Magic!
Review: Wow! This book truly inspires the heart of a young or old reader! To keep most children willingly reading, you have to have a miracle but this book does it in a snap. I couldn't put the book down for hours. J.K. Rowling has an interesting style of writing much like Roald Dahl's! Harry is a young boy whose parents died fighting Lord Voldemort (At first, he is told it was a car crash. Lord Voldemort couldn't kill him which resulted in the scar on his forehead.) He was left to live with his aunt and uncle the Dursleys and their brat of a son, Dudley. Harry finds himself unhappy longing to get away from this life. One day, a letter arives which invites him to Hogwarts School of Wizardy. He doesn't even know he's a wizard at first, but later he finds out his parents were some of the most succesful ones in the buisness. When he finally arrives at school, he is one of the most popular kids because everyone has heard of him and his mysterious lightning scar. Thoughout the story, their are strange occurences all leading up to him discovering one of his teachers is working on the dark side! He must rescue himself fighting the evil of this teacher who is really working with Lord Voldemort. What will happen to young Harry? Read the book and find out for yourself! The sequels are just as good as the first!

Summary: Magic for anyone!
Review: Wow, It took me just a week to read a first book. The second one was finished in three days. I am reading the third one right now, and eagerly looking forward when the story will continue. It has been ages since I have read such a wonderful tales. By the way, the book is not for kids only. Anyone, who likes reading magical novels, will enjoy this one. It is very much like reading Goffman's tales.
