Rating: Summary: Bravo, Ms Rowling...Bravo! Review: With this first book in a series, Ms Rowling produces a book of moderate suspense and mystery which has captivated me, even though skeptic at first before reading it. I thoroughly enjoyed this work and plan on reading the sequels in this delightful book. Any reader, from young adult and beyond would find himself captivatged by the immense depth to the characters of this book, and to the light hearted comic relief she well places within the story. Sign me up for the rest of the series! :)
Rating: Summary: ABSOLUTELY INCREDIBLY AMAZING! Review: Without a doubt, Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone is the best book I've ever read! It captures the imagination and whisks the reader to truly wonderful places. EVERYONE should read this--regardless of age! If I could give this book more than 5 stars, I definitely would; JK Rowling created a masterpiece!
Rating: Summary: Wow! Great book! Review: Wonderful book. Harry finds out that he is a wizzard, and that his parents were famous (and rich)wizzards, but they were killed by the worst wizzard of all time. Harry is famous, because it was when Vouldemort couldn't kill Harry that Vouldemort was destroyed. This is a story about his first yyear at Hogwarts.
Rating: Summary: Harry Potter is "wand"erfully awesome!!.... Review: Would you be surprised to find out that you are a witch or a wizard? Well, Harry does in J.K. Rowling's: Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone. Harry finds that being a wizard is tougher than it seems when he goes to Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. Harry Potter, an eleven year old boy who lives in London is a slave of his aunt, uncle, and his incredibly spoiled cousin, Dudley. He receives a letter inviting him to Hogwart's School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. Harry then goes to the secret platform 9 ¾ at the train station. On the train to Hogwarts, he meets Ron Weasley and Hermione Granger, the greatest friends he would ever have. He also meets Draco Malfoy, his greatest rival. At Hogwarts, Harry got sorted into the Gryffindor house by the sorting hat. Then he helps a friend get an item called a rememberall that is flying through the air and catches it on broomstick and gives it back to him. Doing that makes him become Gryffindor's seeker for quidditch (A game where wizards fly around on broomsticks throwing a ball called a quaffle through goals). Along the way he learns spells, mixes potions, wins one quidditch match after another, and even fights a mountain troll. But Professor Dumbledore's warning of going to the 3rd floor corridor made Harry wonder what it was all about, and why does Professor Quirrel wear that turban? Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone is a "wand"erful book. It's a magical, action-packed story. I would recommend it to anyone who would like to know what it's like to be a wizard.
Rating: Summary: Harry Potter And The Sorcerers Stone Review: Would you ever stick a magical wand up a six-foot tall mountain troll's nose? Well, in Harry Potter And The Sorcerer's Stone, Harry does just that! I think Harry Potter is good for ages 8 to 35. I liked Harry Potter because J.K. Rowling really described what was happened in whatever part of the book. And she used lots of imagination for her book. This book is great for people who like big adventures. The moral of this story is great things can happen to people who think they are not good enough.
Rating: Summary: Harry Potter and the Scorcer's Stone Review: Would you ever try to fight Voldemort? Voldemort is a very bad wizard who is out of his 7th year of Hogwarts. Harry Potter is in Gryffindor. After awhile Harry Potter catches the snitch and Gryffindor wins against Slytherin. Harry Potter likes Hogwarts a lot. The book is about Voldemort trying to get his revenge, trying to beat Harry Potter. Harry Potter is Ron's best friend and Hermione's best friend too. Snape keeps on giving house points to Slytherin. It is not fair. Harry Potter did great on his flying lesson. Harry Potter tried to get to Voldemort. After awhile Harry Potter might beat Voldemort or Voldemort might be Harry Potter. Read the book to find out what happens!
Rating: Summary: Harry Potter 1 Review: Would you ever want to face a three-headed dog? Well Harry Potter does in Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone. I like this book because J. K Rowling used a lot of imagination in it. One moral in this story is ... never thinking that you're worthless. This book is good for children of all ages ... One event is when Harry gets an invisible cloak. READ THIS BOOK!!!!! This book is about a boy named Harry who thinks his life is good for nothing but that's going to change! On his eleventh birthday a giant of a man tells him he is a wizard I like this book
Rating: Summary: Harry Potter Review: Would you ever want to fight a troll? Well that's what Harry Potter did. In Harry Potter, Harry is trying to get the sorcerers stone. I loved reading Harry Potter and The Sorcerers Stone by J.K. Rowling because it is interesting and funny. And I also think there are really good pictures and characters. J.K. Rowling's moral was don't give up.
Rating: Summary: Harry Potter and the Sourcer's Stone Review: Would you face a three-headed dog? Well Harry Potter did in J. K. Rowling' Harry Potter and The Sorcerer's Stone. I really liked it because I thought it was funny when Harry stuck a wand up a troll's nose. I didn't like it because I thought it was too long. I would like to be able to have magic wouldn't you? And that is why I liked this book. The lesson or the moral is, don't give up.
Rating: Summary: Great Book. Review: Wow! For a book half written in a coffe shop I have only great things to say. The basic storyline is great. It is entrticately detailed but not that hard to follow. Also, Rowling has the great skill of leading the reader in one direction, then switching all of a sudden. This is something that after reading three of her books, I cannot predict. Rowling also does a great job of leaving the scene open for the sequel. P.S. I don't whether or not this is only rumor, but there are going to be only seven books, one for each year at Hogwarts (his school of magic).
