Rating: Summary: A wonderful book developed by ingenious imagination Review: Dear JK Rowling, I want to write to thank you for starting this series that has gripped the world. I admire you for your imagination. I have only read the first book in your series, The Sorceror's Stone, and I was delighted to read about characters that could do magical things, and and where the good guys always win. I am happy that kids all across the country, and probably all around the world are trading in TV for one of your books. Thanks to you, reading has become fun for kids of all ages. Kids? Yes, even adults like your books, so they have fun reading to their children. I am looking forward to reading your second book. I, and many others, hope you go writing about your adorable character Harry!

Rating: Summary: An excellent book for all agers, even the sullen teen ones Review: Definitely a book with more than one level, like the Chronicles of Narnia, Alice in Wonderland, or anything by Dhall. The book is wonderful for children whether they read it or it is read to them, but it is also fascinating for adults and older children to read. I'm 18 and I couldn't put any of the books down. Excellent characters and imaginitive plot. I absolutely loved it.
Rating: Summary: Average Fantasy Novel Review: Despite all of the hype about Harry Potter, I found myself getting tired of such an easy, boring read. After being told that this was the greatest book of all time, I was surprised at the interest level in the content of the story. Harry Potter is an unimpressive, childish read. Recommended to ages (3-10)
Rating: Summary: So my friends recommend this book... Review: Despite all the hoopla and publicity, I let this book loaned to me by my Aunt sit in my drawer for over a year. Finally, one day I was bored with my Stephen King novel and pulled it out for a change of pace. Well, I have now read all 4 novels twice, bought the books on cassette and am addicted. This book, I would agree, is a children's book, but the subsequent ones are definitely more adult (especially Goblet of Fire). This first in the series introduces you to the wizarding world and is the beginning of a wonderful journey. Now I see why all my adult (and childless friends) have recommended these books. So, if you enjoy a good adventure and well-written characters, do yourself a favor and set aside a weekend -- 'cuz you won't be able to put it down! (Can't wait for November 16th!!!)
Rating: Summary: Excellent Review: Despite the hype when the Harry Potter series was first released, I refrained from reading them. I've never been one to get caught up in the hype. But when the movie was released, I went to see it, and I was quite impressed. I recently bought books 1-3, and absolutely loved Year 1. I'm almost finished with Year 2 and can't wait to start Year 3. I'm not sure I'm going to have the patience to wait for the release of the rest of the series. I'm sure I'll be buying Year 4 very soon. But the wait for Years 5-7 is going to be torture for me. Excellent books for all ages.
