Rating: Summary: Wonderful! A Pleasure to Read! Review: This book was written very well, it is a pleasure to read, it really flows well. I had a hard time putting it down in order to sleep, and only could after my eyes started drooping. The story is wonderful, a pleasure to read for young and old alike. I predict it will remain a classic for generations.
Rating: Summary: An Imaginative, Magical Journey Review: This book was written with much enthusiam about what a child really wants. In fact, so enthused was J.K. Rowling, she wrote a book that appeased adults as well. People were hungry for a book that would sate them. They wanted it, badly. The Harry Potter series was just what we all needed. It was a feast to feed on, when we were all starving. So here is a series that has inspired many to read other books as well, even when they weren't avid readers. These books prove that books are transportations to just what appeals to us. They are the smart way to loaf. So I suggest to the person reading this review, buy the three books she has written so far, take some time to yourself, and whether you be five of fifty, enjoy the magical atmosphere books set for us.
Rating: Summary: I couldn't put it down Review: This book was....awesome. As a baby, Harry defeats the evil Voldemort, and is a hero (to the wizards and witches of the world) Harry's parents die, so he must live with his horrible aunt and uncle. He soon learns that he is a wizard, and that he will be attending Hogwarts school of witchcraft and wizardry. He makes the Quidditch team, and everyone loves him until he loses all the house points. He and his friends Hermoine and Ron learn about the Sorcerer's stone, and also that Prof. Snape is going to steal it and give it to his master Voldemort, so he can have eternal life. In the end, Harry meets up with Voldemort, except Snape was trying to protect Harry............ A great book with a bit of a surprise ending. I can't wait to read the second one.

Rating: Summary: Very good Review: This book would be 5 stars, but compared to the other three, it's only 4. This was a great introduction, but it simply did not have the sheer brilliance of the other 3. I highly recommend the series, but don't get disappointed in this one and not read the others.
Rating: Summary: A truly astounding book Review: This book, along with the whole Harry Potter series, is a wonderful example of imagination and real adolescent experiences combined together to make a story that can capture the mind of any person, regardless of age. Its plot is great, the characters are even better, and the details and creativity of the work is marvelous. Rowling has struck gold with this series, and those who haven't read it yet should believe the hype and get this book (and series) for the whole family to enjoy!
Rating: Summary: Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone Review: This book, and all the other fantasy books in Rowling's series are the best children's books I have ever read. Although, adults have been able to enjoy them too. They are the most entertaining and imagination gathering books for children and adults. This book, in particular, is about a boy named Harry and his first adventures at Hogwarts School of Magic. At school, Harry learns all about how to use his wand, play a game where he flies on a broomstick, and make the first friends he's ever had. The author does a great job on making the book one you can never put down. Each chapter ends with some quetion that Harry is trying to answer or task that he is trying to accomplish. Harry, coming from a house where he is ignored because his magical powers are detested, is a character that children want to see win. Children can also relate with his two best friends, Ron and Heriomone. Ron coming from a poor family and Heriomone being a bookworm, whom Harry and Ron don't even like at first. This book is believable one because the characters' relationships are like those of kids in school. However, the setting of Hogwarts and the magical happenings there, the ghosts that live at the school, the magical creatures and plants they have to learn to take care of, and the trials that Harry is put through, are what makes the book so fun for children to read.
Rating: Summary: The best series of books since the Cronicles of Narnia Review: This book, and its two follow ons are nothing short of an imagination fest for all ages. When my 10yr old daughter (I am 31) came home from school raving about Harry Potter, his adventures and how I just had to read the books, I thought, sure when I have time. 2 months (I think)later I wish I had taken her advice and read them sooner. I must admit the first few chapters of this book go abit slow but I urge people to keep at it. The book(s) don't seem to be trying real hard to impress any particular age and I am very impressed at how Harry and Ron have embraced Hermoine as their friend, a lesson which alot of boys both young and old could do to learn. In an age when most fantasy is seen on TV through programmes or games it is refreshing to see the process of my children imagining how these fantastic charecters and places must be. These books have inspired my daughter to greater heights in her own creative writing at school and have managed to capture my sons attention when I read them to him, and those of you with 7yr old boys know how hard that is. We have had family ring us from London to rave over these books for us to tell them we already knew. My only regret is that now that I have read all three that are avalible at this time my family and I are going through severe Harry withdrawl and are desperate for more books. Hurry please J K Rowling!!! We need more.
