Rating: Summary: As good as a book gets! Review: This book is very nice. It starts with a nice introduction that explaines everything nicely. It is a good book for younger readers because nothing gross or nasty and also you get introduced to some aspects that come into play in the third and second books. all in all, a good, light read!
Rating: Summary: The Best Book in the Universe Review: This book is VERY, VERY, exciting! There are a lot of good characters. My favorite characters are Harry, Hagrid and his little dragon, Professor McGongall, the fat lady in the portrait, Ron, and Hermoine. J. K. Rowling uses words that make you feel like you're right inside the book with Harry. My sister is 16 and she's even reading it! I have to go. I have to get my hands on that book again!
Rating: Summary: Best book published so far! Review: This book is way cool! I'm a HUGE book fan, So I think I can spot a good book when I see one. This book is a combo of fantisy and science fiction. It's about a boy whos parents were a wich and a wizard. When they get killed by this really creepy, evil wizard gone bad, poor Harry gets shipped off to his dispicable aunt, uncle and a bratty cousin. The poor kid gets treated like dirt for 10 whole years untill his 11th birthday when all of that changes...
Rating: Summary: Excellent reading for children and adults Review: This book is well written and fun for all ages to read. The imagination and easy to relate to characters are outstanding! The book carries you on throughout and the ending is most interesting. If you are thinking of reading these books I highly recommend!!!
Rating: Summary: WOW Review: This book is wonderful and exciting from the beginning to the end. I am begging my mom to read it because I know that she would enjoy it, too. Any age person would enjoy this fantasy. This book is about a boy who learns he is a wizard and has to go to a special school to learn his craft. At this school, he makes friends, learns a new game, and fights evil Voldemort to save the Sorcerer's Stone. After reading this series, my friends and I play games based on The Sorcerer's Stone. Rating: Summary: Guess I'm a Muggle Review: This book is wonderful for children. It provides a wonderful and beautiful and descripitve story that is fit for CHILDREN. At my [local store]there were 16 year old kids reading this book. Teachers say that this book has been instrumental in getting kids to read but I ask you is this the best they could do? I mean its wonderful that this books have been such a big success and that J.K Rowling brought her own castle. I read this book to see what the entire fuse was about, this is not the greatest kids novel of all time. That honor still lies with either the Hardy Boys or The Boxcar Children. Harry Potter is NOT a conspiracy used by Satan to attract younger members to his cause. Let me say again that these are Children's books for anyone on either side to get keyed up about them is laughable.
Rating: Summary: I love this book! Review: This book is wonderful! My mom got it from the library once and started reading it. Then all my brothers did. I started it but then had to return it :( I did not finish it until about a year latter. But I have loved this book scince! J.K.Rowling is my second favorite author second to J.R.R.Tolkien. The only reason I gave this book only four stars is that J.K.Rowling uses some languege that I think is not necasary. She takes the lords name in vain! That is the only thing that ruined the book for me.
Rating: Summary: A wonderful book full of wise knowledge for young and old Review: This book is wonderful. Don't let the reading age level stop you from sharing this book with a younger child. My 7 year old son and I would read several chapters nightly. We both loved the book and the time we spent together. There is wise knowledge in this book for both the young and old. We hated to end it. Now we can't wait to read the next one!!!!!
Rating: Summary: The wonders of the IMAGINATION!!!!! Review: This book is wonderful. I never thought I would enjoy a book aimed at children. I couldn't put this book down. J.K. Rowling masterfully weaves the plot of the wonderful orphan Harry Potter. As you get farther into the book, it seem as though you are engulfed by the book, and are standing in Hogwarts with Harry and is friends. I would reccomeend this book for any one young or old. If you think your imagination as been in neutral for too long, just buy this ook and you will be back in drive in notime!!!!!!!!
