Rating: Summary: Brilliant! Excellent writing! Review: At first I saw this book in England. I really wanted SOMETHING to read, so I just bought the book. After reading it for about 30 minutes, I got really interested in it. It was great! Quite possibly the best book I've ever read. Then the sequel came out in England. I was still there on vacation so I bought it with no hesitation whatsoever. Anyway, I keep rereading this book, and it's still great. It just came to my school and EVERYONE's reading it. The author should get a Nobel Prize.
Rating: Summary: I was so excited when my teacher started to read this book. Review: At first I thought it was going to be a book like Rohle Dohl would write. When we started to read it we could not stop. One day we lost track of the time in class and mussed our math. I liked how the words sounded like Dumbledoor. The word tickled my tongue. this book was a good lesson for me beacuse what happen to Harry can happen to you. My favorite charactors are Hermone and Ron. I also like the part when Harry could see this parents. I think all kids should read this book. What will J.K. Rowland think of next. Did you know they might come out with a series of movies for Harry Potter.
Rating: Summary: It's the best book I've ever read! Review: At first I thought it would be dumb, but as I got further and further into the book, I found out that I was wrong. It made me read to the end because it kept me in such great suspense, and I wanted to find out what happened. That is why I liked the book so much, and why I want to read the other two.
Rating: Summary: Every adult should read this awesome epic Review: At first I thought that this book is just for children. I picked up this book because it was the only cheap English book available at a bookstore in Korea. This book is healthy and offers a lot of precious spiritual lessons for every human being, especially, adults who are weary by everyday life. Every adult should read this awesome epic of an ordinary boy who had so much potential in him, that is, us.

Rating: Summary: I wish I could Give It A Million Stars!! Review: At first I thought this Harry Potter craze was just a passing fad. I also wondered how could anyone be this crazy for a book. Until one day I went to the drug store near my job and was looking at the book section and seen book 2. I bought it not knowing there was a book before it. I paid for it and bought it back to work and began to read. Now I must remind you I was a 23 year old professional woman and I have kids of my own. But when I read this book it seems like my whole childhood came back to me. I haven't read a childrens fantasy novel in years. This book had my full attention. When I finshed, it left me hungry for more until I purchased and finished them all. Never has a book or a series of books have my full attention like these. I even read them twice. I'm just dying to get the next book #5. The whole story line was so livid I could picture the whole scenario in my mind from begining to end. I can't understand why so many people feel the books to be offensive. Just don't read them, but don't put down or try to push and shove your views on everyone else.
Rating: Summary: I was a skeptic, but now I'm convinced Review: At first I was skeptical of the Harry Potter phenomenon. However, with the movie on the horizon, I decided to take the plunge and I couldn't be more glad that I did. This book swept me into a world of magic and wizardry, and more importantly, the valuable lessons of life. Harry, Ron, Hermione, Hagrid, and the lot, are delightful characters that everyone can relate to in some way. Their story is full of adventure, friendship, and heart-stopping antics that are sure to be a treat for readers of any age. My compliments to J.K. Rowling and the series that is destined to become a classic.
Rating: Summary: Best of Harry? Review: At first I was unsure of reading or buying any of the Harry Potter books. I am a Christian and was unsure of the witchcraft themes. But I got this book from the library, and saw little or nothing wrong with it. In fact, I found it very similar to "Matilda" by Roald Dahl, a favorite book of mine. In fact, I was more upset with the small (verbal, not magic) curse uttered by Mr. Dursley early on in the book than any of the magic. I personally think that even minor curses have no part in children's books. But I like the fact that Harry Potter doesn't curse. Just the bad guys. But, back to magic, I think that the witchcraft in this book is not overly dark or satanic. The second and third books do get "darker" (I still read them, though, and am not against them). That's why this book is my favorite. Harry Potter is merely a friendly, likeable kid who happens to be a wizard, not a dark, menacing sorcerer who happens to be a kid. And the pay-attention-or-you'll-miss-the-clues type reading makes me pay more attention to all the books I read. All in all, I think Harry's great. He makes kids read! That's hardly something you can argue with, now, is it?
