Rating: 5 stars
Summary: Great Book
Review: The first in the Harry Potter series, this is also probably the tamest in terms of violence and gore, and is therefore probably the most kid-friendly.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: Excellent Story
Review: The first installment of Harry Potter has lived up to all the hype. I read the book because of the media attention and was quite pleased. For the most part, the media circus focuses on short lived fads. However, Harry Potter is a rare book. The public has found a instant classic and is quite lucky. I would highly recommend this book, as it ranks as one of the best children's stories of all time.

Summary: Great characters in an Excellent Book
Review: The first series of the Harry Potter books, the Sorcerer's Stone, is quite an amazing story to the world of magic. Filled with the coolest spell to the funniest experience, you will even laugh to yourself while reading this book. At the beginning, Harry was living with his Aunt Petunia, Uncle Vernon and his not-so-good cousin, Dudley. After Hagrid came to tell him that he is a wizard, his life changed. He met Ron Weasley and Hermoine Granger at the Hogwarts Express; You've to go straight to a wall between Platform 9 and 10!! Which is why it's called Platform 9 3/4.
He and his new best friends, from Gryffindor, went to numerous adventure to get to the sorcere's stone. Read it...while stocks last!!

Summary: This book won my heart!
Review: The first time I read this book, I knew Harry Potter must have been the best book I'd ever read. But, I had read the 3rd book first and knew all about what was happening, what Harry really was, etc. But, this book still left an open door for book two, which wasn't at all spoiled by reading book 3 first.

Summary: Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone
Review: The genre of this book is historical fiction because a lot ofthis story is true in different places such as castles which are inmany different places of the world. Three headed dogs have existed before while just this summer a two headed cat was born. With so many "legends" of witches and wizards, they must be real or where did they get the idea? Just because you don't see something doesn't mean it isn't there. It is also fiction because it came out of the author's head. There are many great characters in this book. The main main character is Harry Potter who is the boy that lived. He was the only person to survive Lord Voldemort. He got a scar but his parents got murdered. Harry discovered he was the most famous wizard when he was 10 years old. He goes to Hogwarts, a school of witchcraft and wizardry. Throughout the book he becomes the first first-year student in the century to become a Quidditch player. He keeps Lord Voldemort from getting the Sorcerer's Stone which would have let him live forever. Ron is Harry's best friend. He has 7 brothers and sisters that are mentioned throughout the book. Fred, George and Percy are the only ones who are still in Hogwarts. Hermione is the straight A student who saves Harry's neck millions of times. Snape is the Potions Master who hates Harry because he hated his dad, James Potter. Voldemort, A.K.A. YOU-KNOW-WHO, A.K.A. HE-WHO-MUST-NOT-BE-NAMED, tried to kill harry as a baby and wants to live forever by stealing the sorcerer's stone. Voldemort gets Professor Quirrell to do his dirty work for him. The plot line is hilarious. For instance, Harry unleashes a boa constrictor, who has never seen South America, on his bratty cousin, Dudley. Harry's best friend, Ron, has twin brothers who always make wise cracks like mixing their names up into Gred and Forge instead of Fred and George. Another time in a game of Quidditch, Harry almost swallowed the Snitch, which is a small, walnut sized, very fast, flying ball with wings. The plot line is always surprising. Sometimes incredibly normal things happen, and sometimes, just plain old weird stuff happens. Harry nearly gets killed twenty times. For starters, Quirrell tries to curse his broom in a Quidditch match. Snape performs a counter curse and Hermione bumps into Quirrell so he can't perform the curse. Another time is when Marcus Flint blocks Harry and nearly knocks him off his broom. Harry nearly gets smashed into oblivion when he and Ron save Hermione from a troll. Harry almost got crushed in the Devil's Snare while he was trying to catch Snape. When Harry is in the Forbidden Forest, a Centaur saves him from Lord Voldemort's possible spell. I recommend this book to anybody because its plot line is easy to follow, it's hilarious, filled with adventure, near death experiences and plain old fun. On a scale of 1 to 10, 10 being the highest, I give it an 11!

Summary: Here's a recommendation...
Review: The Harry Potter book is very good, of course. Readers who enjoyed it might also like "The Girl with Silver Eyes," by Willo Davis Roberts. Also a great book.

Summary: This book is great for ANYBODY!
Review: The Harry Potter books (all three!) are probably some of the best and well written books I have ever read. I am fourteen, and highly skeptical of anything labeled "children's," but I absolutely loved these books. J.K. Rowlings is a superb writer and she brings Harry's world to life before your eyes and then sucks you into it. I finished all three books in the space of two weeks. Adults, teens, and kids should all read these books. They are highly entertaining and original, they are unlike any other book I have ever read! If you are even minutely considering buying these books, do it, they are great! I really really enjoyed them. Harry's world is so different from our own "Muggle" world--Harryspeak for non-wizards--that you just become absolutely enchanted. And don't think I'm some weird sci-fi geek, either, I'm just a normal teen who liked these books a whole lot. They ARE NOT JUST FOR KIDS! J.K. Rowlings should get a Newbery Award or something for these!

Summary: PERFECT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Review: The Harry Potter books are addictive and FUN! It took me 2 nights to finish 2 Harry Potter Books. I found myself wishing I could attend Hogwarts and play a rousing game of Quidditch in my backyard. If you haven't read these books, I STRONGLY reccommend it.
