Review: Oh, I literally could not put this book down! It was, and IS, a truly fantastic read! I read the 309 terrific, gripping pages in about three or four hours of one day. My twelfth birthday is May 5 - less than one month away - and I'm going to ask for all seven of the Harry Potter books as fast as I can get them. I absolutely LUV to read, but I can hardly find anything on the shelf right now - even though my mom is a librarian! - so you can imagine what this book really meant to me. Not that I couldn't live without books . . . I'm just so much of a reading maniac, I. . . . You know what? I'm getting off track. Here's my advice to those of you who need something good to read: GET "HARRY POTTER AND THE SORCERER'S STONE"! (I don't know how to do italic on this stupid thing.)

Review: Oh, wow! This was one of the BEST books that I've yet read! (and you can believe me, I've read ALOT!) Rowlings makes you feel like you could have actually be there not to mention she gives the characters very good personalities and real life problems that all kids face...not to mention some that you'd never even think of!

Summary: Forget harry Potter
Review: Ok dont get me wrong this is a great book. After reading this i bought every single book in the series and will continue to do so. But after reading the Elfstones of shannara and the other books in the shannara series i have realizied that shannara is the best series i have ever read. AS i said earlier the harry potter series is okay but ive read a ton better.

Review: Ok here I go. I'm 13 and I like this book. People make it sound like it's a 3rd grader book BUT LOOK AT THE NUMBER OF PAGES IN #4! This is no small children's book it is a book for all ages. My teacher even likes it. She is encouraging all of us to read it and The Hobbit. This is a great book like no other. So get your hands on it and read all of them.

Summary: This book, a bad book?...?... YEAH RIGHT!
Review: Ok lets get this review started by saying that this book and the rest of the books in this series are so awseme! I will also say that there are going to be 7 harry potter books total.Ok now the acutal review: This book is defently not a "bad" book like some people are saying. They are saying things like "this book has people drinking, and Hagrid is a drunk, what kind of an example is this setting for our childern?" Well as a kid i say YOUR STUPID PEOPLE. plus hagrid is NOT a drunk, he just drinks a little. for 1, there are much worse books then Harry Potter. ok lets start a list -Huck Fin -The Golden Compass Triligy (read this series!) -The Hobbit -The Tripod series -you can think of more...cant you? come on just think it over... And all of these books are read by kids. most are in school libarys. Most TV is worse then the Harry potter books. Same with movies- movies and TV have sex, and sex related meteral. Now i'm defently not saying that TV and movies are bad, im just stating a point, Harry Potter is not a bad book, and in my opinon, people that think harry potter is a bad influence on kids are wack, there phycho, there crazy, and they should give there kids a CHANCE with the books PLEASE e-mail me and tell me your opionin of my review...or just Dis me or my view on this "Debate" hope this review was helpful to you.

Summary: Finaly did it!
Review: OK OK how long has this series been out? 1997-98? I am an avid, avid reader, but I never really felt the need to read Children's books! Then of course NUMBER 4 came out, and I saw GROWN PEOPLE reading and OK OK I crumbled under the unbelievable peer pressure - or was it media pressure! And just like I hate to say "my mother was right", I will admit that this is a BRILLIANT first story. I literally felt myself plunge into Harry's world, envisioned the giant, the ugly, ugly aunt and uncle, and cannot even describe to you the picture I have of the nasty cousin. The school is wonderful, and please can I get a letter, I want to be a sorceress. The character developemnt, the scenes, nothing, absolutely nothing is left out. Rowlings does a brilliant job. Everyone is a hero, Harry, his friends, the teachers, with even a few surprises. Please, please forget the hype about sorcery, and church and not being able to read this wonderful wonderful story. Imagination is a life saver. Please get these books for your children, for your nieces and nephews, for your neighbours, and even get them for yourself (don't be shy). And let yourself become a 12 year old again

Summary: what's to say it's AMAZING
Review: Ok so maybe i'm a little late on getting this review written. I read Harry Potter last May and found it DELICIOUS! But before I even knew what quidditch, muggles, or who Harry Potter was I was bored out of my mind with all of those too grown up books and way to young for me books. Likewise I'm 15 and I always manage to make my way to the local bookstore every afternoon after church on sundays. After seeing the book on the newly released shelf for about 2 weeks I decided to get it. Boy was I surprised when I found myself reading till mid night every night. I found myself enjoying Harry Potter so much that when my dear friend Joan (worker at bookstore) told me that there were going to be 7 Harry Potter books I was stunned!! J.K. Rowling has the most innovative and delightful minds ever that she has created a reading phenomenon. It's not every day that good books show up on the shelf. I highly reccomend everyone from kids to senior citizens to read Harry Potter. It'll get at least a smile if not many fulfilled ours of laughter and enjoyment out of you while reading it. Well enough talk about the book so GO BUY IT!!!!!!!!

Review: OK! I have liked this book since before the huge tidal wave of 'Harry Potter is the best, every one read it' happended. This book is great. It has surprise, excitement, danger, and magic. THAT IS WHY I LOVE THIS BOOK! I think this book should be a must read, not because it is like, on a record for how long it's been on the best seller list, but because this is a really awesome book

Summary: I never thought I could pay attention for 14 hours
Review: OK, heres the deal. Plain and simple. I am in college, and I hear about this so called "Harry Potter Craze" from my little brothers, mom and sister at home. I was like, yeah I might read this kid book. SO anyways, they were going on and on about how great it was so I went to library and found out the the sorcerors stone was on tape. great I thought. I have a 2 hour trip on the way home from college, and my work is 45 mins away everyday, so heres a way for me to read this stupid book and make my brothers happy. So I come to realize that I am like the 30th person on the waiting list to get this set of tapes. I even found out that the county had like 10 copies. Ok, ok, so maybe this book could be descent. so anyways, i finally get the set like 2 weeks later and I pop the tape in on the way back from south beach at rush hour (yeah you know what I'm talking about.) By the time I get home to the Univ of Miami, I am engulfed, hook, line, and sinker. I couldn't stop. I even brought a walkman so I could listen on my stroll to classes. Then, I start on my friends in college. read it I tell them, but you know how most college kids are. they are just too plain lazy to even GET the book. SO I go out and buy it for one of my friends, cause she didnt have a tape player. within two days, shes done and going to the store for #2. Its now getting passed around my apartment complex because now everyone hears my friend and I rave on and on about potter this, harry that. Hey, even Dr. James Dobson says its good for all you Dobson junkies. plain and simple, your life is uncomplete without Potter.
