Rating: Summary: Great! For everyone! Review: My teacher is reading this book aloud at school. We are pretty far along and everyone loves the book. It is very suspenseful and funny, and everyone is making predictions. It is fun to decide what we think will happen. That is one reason why I like the book. I am looking forward to reading all the other Harry Potter books.
Rating: Summary: So exciting adults like it too! Review: My teacher read the book to my class and I bought a copy. My mom and dad like it too. Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets is coming tomorrow and I cant wait to read it!
Rating: Summary: Teachers, Parents, and mostly Kids around the world love it Review: My teacher read the class Harry Potter and the Sorcer's Stone, and I was amazed at the life I lead compared to his. Even though Harry is a fictional character that Joanne Rowling created, his life is too exciting to put down and makes my life seem boring. I'm now on her second book - Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets. Though I am only 52 pages through it , I'll tell you it's just as good as the first. If you enjoyed The first Harry Potter, or have not read it you can get it here. If you wish to get Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets NOW you can go to amazon.co.uk ( That's the way to get it the fastest. Enjoy reading!!!!!!!!
Rating: Summary: This book is extraordinary! I loved this book! Review: My teacher read this book out loud to the class, and with the twists and turns of adventure kept the whole class on their feet wanting to hear what happens next. When you read the book you get this awsome, vived picture in your head. When my teacher would stop reading, you would hear everybody say "Please can you read just a little more?" When we finshed the book half the class went and bought the book, includeing me!

Rating: Summary: Wonderful escapism reading! Review: My teenaged son recommended these books to me, and I finally started the series. Harry Potter is a great hero for kids, the book has classic elements of good and evil, the setting of Hogwarts is a wonderfully imaginative place, and most of the adults provide good role models for Harry and his friends. I have only read three of the series so far, and I have yet to see why many fundamentalist Christians (of which I am one) are so upset. A child with a good, firm foundation is perfectly capable of reading Harry Potter and determining truth from fantasy. It is always good for parents and children to talk about whatever a child is reading, and certainly any concerned parent can talk Harry Potter over with their child, making sure to distinguish between fact and fiction. If I had an elementary-aged child, I would certainly allow and even encourage him to read these books. The Harry Potter series is not a whole lot different from The Chronicles of Narnia (just without the Christian emphasis), and this book is a great one to make children turn of the t.v. and READ! I enjoyed the book very much, and I only deducted one star because there were a few points in the book in which I became bored. Of course, as an adult reading a children's book, I expected that I would get bored and was pleasantly surprised that I did not get that way much! This is great fantasy reading for children of all ages and adults who love a good afternoon of escapism!
Rating: Summary: This is a book for people of all ages! Review: My ten year old cousin lent me his copy of this book and I read it in one night! I enjoyed it so much that I reccomended it to my Mom and my Grandmother. It was so much fun to read and after I read it I had to go out and get the sequal, which I also read in a day. I hope J.K. Rowling keeps writing about Harry Potter and his adventures with his friends at Hogwarts!
Rating: Summary: Wonderful...for any age Review: My twenty-one year old little sister referred this book to me, and it has rejuvenated my imagination. It is a wonderful book, that is truly a joy to read--a nice break from reality. I recommend it to anyone who seeks a story that is light, magical, endearing and unpredictable--I can't wait to read The Chamber of Secrets!
Rating: Summary: Spellbinding read for kids Review: My two boys, 10 and 8, wouldn't let me put Harry Potter down. This was the first book that they really, really wanted me to read before bedtime. We snatched up the sequel as soon as it appeared. Once that was finished, we resorted to Alan Garner's "Weirdstone of Brisingamen" - a good book, but paled in comparison. We hear that the author has been commissioned to write nine altogether - can't wait!!
Rating: Summary: A Magical reminder of the pure Joy of Reading! Review: My very dear friend brought this book to our Christmas party last year as a gift-exchange item. It was won by another one of my friends, and set aside until the hustle and bustle of the holidays were over. But as soon as she had read the book, the lending/borrowing began! Now a good number of my friends, my husband and I, and my 62 year old father (a Brilliant Man!), have read not only this book, but the other three Harry Potter books as well. And believe me, we ALL consider ourselves to be fans! (Don't worry, Ms. Rowling, we have all purchased our own copies, some of us have even purchased the audio-book versions as well.) Let me assure anyone who is undecided as to whether or not this book is all hype - the celebration surrounding these stories is well deserved. The story is well written, with enough fiber to hold it together, and enough whimsy to transport the reader to a time when we all believed Wizards and Dragons might just exist. For me, the greatest pleasure of this book was found in its ability to enfold me completely in the story; to make me feel almost as though Harry Potter was a part of me, and these were my adventures! It reminded me of the way I used to feel when reading stories by E.B. White, and I feel certain that these books are earning a permanent place in children's literature, not just a flash in the pan. Although I am no longer a child (my friends and I are all 30-somethings), I can see what a tremendous effect these books would have on a young reader. For Harry Potter, you see, begins his journey not as a realized wizard, but as an ordinary kid with problems and disappointments. But as the story progresses, Harry helps young readers to understand that there is no such limitation as "ordinary", and there's more to each of us than may first meet the eye. As with all great children's books, when the protagonist wins, the reader wins! And win, Harry Potter does! So children and adults alike, don your Wizard Hats and delve into the magical world that is the Harry Potter series. If it's a good read and a great escape you're after, you will NOT be disappointed!
