Review: My husband & I both loved these books. At first, he was a little self-conscious about reading them on the train until he realized he wasn't alone. The creativity & excitement of the stories keep us riveted. Let's hope we get to see Harry all the way through school!

Summary: Harry is WONDERFUL on tape!
Review: My husband and I are in our forties, and we LOVED listening to the first Harry Potter on audiotape, read by Jim Dale (a British actor). He did an incredible job, keeping all the characters quite individual and recognizable. We look forward to hearing all the books. I want to own the books in the print version, but I've heard so much about differences in the British and American versions that I don't know if it changes the content. I might want the originals - but I don't know enough to make a decision.

Review: My husband and I just finished reading HPATSS to our 5 year old daughter...and WE ALL LOVED IT! We read a chapter out loud every night before bed and we all couldn't wait to read again. We are all looking forward to reading the whole series (and seeing the movie too!) I can't say enough good things about the book, it's great, great fun for all! :)

Summary: Harry Potter and The Chamber of Secrets - Book 2 - Audio CD
Review: My husband, my child (age 7) and myself purchased cd #2 with the thought that we would listen to this book together... We all thoroughly enjoyed the reading by Jim Dale. We did discover that the best place to start this book is on a trip of at least 2-3 hours in length...as you truly don't want to stop listening to the story! We actually started to create trips so we could listen to the story! Mr. Dale is such a great story teller - that my son preferred to listen to Mr. Dale as opposed to myself or my husband doing the reading! Mr. Dale does marvelous voices and sounds!We have since listened to Books - 3 and 4 and are now purchasing book 1 on cd - as we are anxious to see what we might have missed
(We saw the movie for book 1).

Summary: Great fun... for kids and adults alike!
Review: My kids (12 and 8) loved this book and are busy reading the others. I was really surprised at how entertained I was myself. What fun! Parents -- don't be bullied by the Thought Police. This is fantasy, not a religious statement.

Summary: A definite must read
Review: My kids insisted that I read the book before going to see the movie. So, I purchased it and half-heartedly started reading it. In less than 4 hours I had devoured this book! I could absolutely not put it down. I immediately rushed out to find the next volume and read that with equal fervor. I highly recommend this to all ages. As soon as he is old enough, I will be reading this to my grandson!

Review: My kids like adventure and liked this book. In fact my 8 year old told me that he only has two favorite books. This is one of them. The other is Dr. Jones and Carolyn by Carolyn Apel
It is also a type of adventure, but with a lot of educational bits, and tests for comprehension. I recommend both these books.

Review: My kids received this as Christmas gift, and truly enjoyed Harry Potter's adventures. It is somewhat reminiscent (sp?) of THE WORST WITCH.

Review: My mom bought me this book when I was bored during the summer, I couldn't believe how much I loved it. I usually don't like fantasy books, but this one was excellent. I couldn't wait for the next one to come out. Now I'm hooked, I can't wait for the movie to come out, it looks excellent. This is a must read for anyone, even if you don't like fantasies.

Summary: A Book Can't Be Judged By Its Cover
Review: My mom bought me this book, because she had heard many great things about it, so I decided to read it. At first, I thought it would be a little kiddie book, but now even my dad is reading it! I started getting into it by the first chapter, and read 24 hrs non-stop!! I am going to buy the next two here, because it really is a lot cheaper! So, if you're going to buy a book, buy one in this series!
