Review: As a teacher of all ages of students, I like to know what they like. This book generates so much imagination. It has something for every child's interests. My students can't get enough. Even those who don't care to read loved Harry and his friends. I just wish I'd have thought of him first.

Summary: Destined To Become A Classic, For All Ages
Review: As a writer myself, I can truly say Harry Potter is destined to become a classic character of children's literature. J.K. Rowling has done some extraordinary work on the first installment of the series. It's the first time I have really looked foward to reading the rest of a book series since The Lord of the Rings and The Chronicles of Narnia. However, it was about time for a modern piece of great children's fiction to appear. The Harry Potter series will certainly be reserved for my children in the future. Well done, Ms. Rowling! I realize it can be difficult sometimes, but WRITE FASTER!

Review: As a writer, I'm not ashamed to admit I have a great liking for Harry Potter novels. The books are magical and enchanting. They have a charm and appeal to them like no other series I've seen in a long while. Each of the novels (particularly this one)are superbly written by a talented author. Therefore, I fail to see the need for the negative criticism and bans placed upon these wonderful novels. However, I suppose each person is entitled to their own view. For the majority of people, the view is HARRY POTTER IS THE BEST! So young and old alike pick up this wonderful novel today

Review: As a young reader the spell of Harry Potter has caught me. Iremember the day so well in grade four when my teacher decided to readthe book to us. I remember the teacher telling us the title of thebook and all of us kids moaning and groaning over the title thinkingit sounded really dumb. Then I started listening to the book andbefore you know it I'm enjoying it. Then came the chapter of thesorting hat. All of us sat waiting to know what house Harry would bein. And then when the sentence said " Not slytherin? Are yousure? Well then you better be in" My teacher then stopped. Shesaid we'd have to wait until tomorrow to find out what house he wasin. Well after school I ran right to the bookshop and bought it andfound out for myself. This book is very enchanting and I like it somuch I decorated my room like a quidditch field it looks awsome! Ialso have a Harry Potter webpage! I hope you like the book as much asI do!

Review: As an 11-year-old girl I can honestly say my favorite hobby is reading. I am at the top of my school in our A.R. (accellarated reading) program and only have 5 more books until I have devoured the newberry's. I think JK Rowling is creative person with awsome ideas. Deep into the the plot of the book I would feel so sure I knew who was going to take the sorrcerrers stone,only to find myself , upon turning the page, dead wrong. It was filled with suprizes and unbeatible humer. I would smile in a joyful segmet and shake with nevesness in a tense part, just like I was there.It was down-right superb!!!!!! J. K. Rowling needs more than 7 books!!!!

I could not wait to pick it up and see how Harry was proceeding in his many delightful situations. Also, I loved the creative descriptions and the vibrant characters in the story...wonderful light reading...

Review: As an adult when I got this book as a present, I doubted how much I would enjoy a "children's" book such as this. I was in for a pleasant surprise. I couldn't put it down. It's the kind of imaginative and playful story that will hold you there until you finish it. I highly recommend it to readers of all ages, including adults.

Review: As an adult with no children, I had heard much praise about the Harry Potter books. I decided to try one. It was terrific! Adults as well as children will like the adventures of Harry and his friends. If I could give this book higher than a 5, I would have given it a 20! A must read for EVERYONE, young and old. Can't wait for the rest of the books!
