Rating: Summary: A perfect bedside compainion... Review: J. K. Rowling's outstanding novel, Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone, is the best book I have ever had the pleasure of reading. Her increadable style and miraculasly realistic charecter development, along with an awsome and spellbinding plot stirred together in a Magic Cauldron create one heck of a spell: Harry Potter. Harry will undoubtably be a classic along with the Winnie The Pooh stories and The Hobbit.
Rating: Summary: A Thumping Good Read Review: J. K. Rowlings is most certainly a literary treasure of our time and will be for years to come. Her amazing gift for storytelling and the ability to create a living world for the imagination is extraordinary and meant to be shared with readers both young and old. The fabulous creative energies that make Harry Potter and his world come to life are refreshing, ingenius, and thoroughly enjoyable. I recommend the entire series to everyone and pray with high hopes that J. K. Rowlings will continue producing more books even though when the Harry Potter series is due to end with the 7th installment. Harry Potter is a gift to the world in an age when technology often forgets the simpler forms of communication and expression. The magic of Harry Potter is the inate ability to touch the hearts of all readers, regardless of age or backround.
Rating: Summary: Mind-gripping and Funny Review: J.K Rowling has shown a sense of childness, humor, and creativity through this book. Of all the books that I have read this is the one that I couldn't put down. I hope that J.K Rowling writes an endless series of Harry Potter books.

Rating: Summary: The start of an era.... Review: J.K. Rowlin create a masterpiece with her first installment in the Harry Potter series. This is a truly fascinating book about a young boy who finds out he is a magician. All his life, all he has known is torment and mistreatment, but now he has found where he truly belongs. In this book, young Harry tries to live up to his name and fame as the "boy who lived." Harry knows nothing of his past, except from what other tell him - he also knows nothing about the magical world. He finds that a completely different world lives next to his own "muggle" life, just out of sight. Now, Harry is on his own to make friends, learn magic, and try to understand his incredible luck! I thoroughly recommend this book to readers of all ages. Although some people are against this book, I feel that adequate training for a child can help them distiguish between reality and fantasy. For me, this book is an A+!
Rating: Summary: Great Beginning and Exciting Review: J.K. Rowling does a great job in this book by beginning the story perfectly and ending perfectly. Also she left Harry wide open for more adventure at the end of the story. This book is one the most exciting books I've ever read. In that J.K. Rowling keeps the reader on their toes because when you're sure something will happen it will be the exact opposite. I recommend this book to anyone who loves adventure and suspense.
Rating: Summary: The True Meaning of a Page Turner Review: J.K. Rowling does a most excellent job of keeping the book suspenseful. The book leaves you longing to become Harry Potter and hope there is another book so the story doesn't have to end. I read this book and loved it. I couldn't put it down and I don't enjoy reading much. As soon as I finished I searched for another. I found the Chamber of Secrets and read it in a matter of days. I am very anxiously waiting for the third in this new series.
Rating: Summary: Over-rated Review: J.K. Rowling does write well. The Socerer's Stone was a good book. But it certainly wasn't the best. This book is over-rated by most for some strange reason. Don't expect it to be the best you've ever read. It won't be.

Rowling has a very unique way of writing.Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone is the best book I have ever read.Harry Potter's school,Hogwarts is so interesting and well detailed. The characters names are so creative. Also the words the author uses are very vivid,so the reader gets a good mental picture of what the characters look like and what's happening.Even the cover is very catchy too.If you like books that are filled with magic and action,Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone is the book for you.
Rating: Summary: An exciting and wonderful tale Review: J.K. Rowling has a wonderful way with words. She put the book together so well, I read it over and over, even though the surprise ending wasn't so surprising any more. It was very cleverly written, with all the names, spells, and ways of the Wizarding World. And you didn't feel like a boring person being known as a "muggle" instead of a wizard. I loved the descriptions, and the feeling you get every time you read it. It also had some funny parts, which came unexpectedly, but made the book all the more fun. I hope every one in the world will read this book, and experience the wonder and excitment of Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry.
