Summary: J. K. Rowling's wizarding story
Review: It's one of the best children's books for grown-ups. The story is about Harry, who doesn't know he's a wizard and lives at the Dursleys, his uncle and aunt, until Hagrid, a Hogwarts teacher tells him the truth about himself. From that moment on, Harry attends Hogwarts, the wizarding school. One he doesn't want to meet is Voldemort, who has killed his parents and wants to kill him, too. I enjoyed this book because sometimes you can feel with the characters, especially with Harry. It's a thrilling fantasy story full of jokes. If you don't read it, you'll miss something.

Review: It's only yerar one for Harry Potter. Harry starts out with his aunt and uncle on privte drive because his parents died. As Harry grows up he does not know how his parents died or how he recived the scar on his forhead. Harry aslo does not know that he is a wizard untill his birthday. That is when hagrid comes and tell him every thing and takes him to Hogwarts sochool of witchcraft and wizardy. This is only his first year and he is alread the seeker for the Gryffindor house. He is the younges seeker in the history of 100 years. He has many tryumps with the whole trap doo and Snape. Dont forget he has to get past Fluffy the three headed dog. But hey I wont go into detail because i want you to read the book. And if you like it read the six that are left after this one.

Review: It's really a wonderful story! That is what you can't imagine how wonderful it is, if you haven't read it before. So now let me introduce it to you all, maybe after this you will also get addicted to it. The elements of the book are all around the magic world or the adventure travel that a brave boy had experienced, that seems just the traditional miracle stories and you might be in doubt if it's really so attractive. But I will show you that it is different with traditional magic story.Harry Potter has some fresh ideas through the story and I am so impressed by these plots. Let me take some examples, the ¡§sorting hat¡¨ for defining the students in different house, and also the hat can speak, it is really interesting. Moreover, the special sports at the school those Harry Potter studies in, Quidditch; it's a very exciting game. The attendance of Harry Potter to the Quidditch team can show his talent and also his brave against the blackness side. This book is very good on handling the plots to make the story to be very attractive. It really makes me extremely nervous when Harry Potter's uncle resist to let him receive the letter from the school, it makes me also feel angry as same as Potter and also very nervous to know about can Potter receive the letter finally? I really want to hit his uncle that moment! After reading the ¡§Harry Potter and the Philosopher¡¦s Stone¡¨, I nearly rushed to read the Book 2 ¡§Harry Potter Chamber of Secret¡¨, because I really addicted to the book. I know you won't believe my comment before reading the book, but I'm sure you won't disapprove after you have read. Do you want to proof my words? Review: It's so GREAT! This is the kind of book that you take wherever you go, for me, I just simply couldn't put it down. The way the story was told is just so vivid that it makes you feel you're actually in the story as an invisible person whom Harry, Ron, Hermione nor Dumbledore himself know that we're there. Greatest fantasy story ever told! Looking forward for the later years of Harry's experience at Hogwarts.

Summary: Classic children's literature, not classic literature
Review: It, and the series as a whole, are excellent examples of the bildungsroman, and more solidly written than the majority of adult fiction (and all but a very tiny minority of adult fantasy fiction). The characterization of Harry is a little flat, but that's largely a strength as it is easier to project one's self into his place than if he had a very strong and idiosyncratic personality. The supporting cast is bodly drawn, though verging towards caricature at times. Also, there is a wonderful mythological promiscuity that invigorates the Potter mythos, since who knows what creature of myth will appear next. Still, while the above strengthen it as children's literature, they ultimately weaken it as literature literature, since a poorly characterized protagonist, caricatured supporting characters and a hazily inclusive mythology aren't generally considered strong suits. Regardless, this book, as the prototype of the series, can still be appreciated on a number of levels, from simple detective story all the way up to mythic morality play (with a surprisingly complex moral universe), with, most importantly, a solid dose of fun. Fun is, after all, the quantity which it possesses in the most abundance, unlike most contemporary examples of children's fiction which are dreary and moralizing (with the exception of Lemony Snicket which turns that dreary and moralizing concept on its ear).

Summary: Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone
Review: Its a great reading pleasure! Im brought back to the childhood days of fantasies.... It reminds me of the great books written by Enid Blyton like The Wishing Chair, The Faraway Trees series that really captivates the young readers' hearts. This book is like a refresher to me and it reminds me that Im still young at heart and it definitely feels wonderful to be able to enjoy such stories again....Last but not least, it urges me to move on to the next book and of course, watch the movie.

Review: Its funny how I found out about this book on a roadtrip in kansas. There was nothing in the car but a book called harry potter and the sorcerers stone.it became my most favorite book of all time.i read the whole series 12 times.it controls you. it makes you cry, laugh, get scared and feel happy.its a must read.its emotional and a book that brings you to life. when you read it your in a dream and when you put down the book you wake up.
