Summary: Can't beat it!
Review: In the third grade i had a 12+ grade reading level, as a result I havent read many childrens books since about second grade due to the lack of enjoyment, and intalectual stimulation. When my mother brought Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone for my younger brother I read it to keep from being bored. I was Immediatley hooked. The writing style is simple and easy to read, which gives the younger people who read this a boost in confedence, not many kids can say that they read and liked a 300+ page book!

Even though the book is written for kids, its good for all ages, dont believe me? just look at the wide variety of people who have reviewed this. Theres people anywhere from 7 years old to in the 60+ range.

Dont let the size of the book deter you though, this book teaches good morals like: sharing, kindness, and curiousity, duty and several others. This is an imagination stimulating book, you wont be able to stay away from it. If there is a book that you would let your kids read then this is it. You wont find anything better.

Summary: Best Seller on Children's and Adult lists ?
Review: In the UK, at least, the Harry Potter books are published in two editions: one with a children's cover and one with an adult cover. Both are best sellers. Says it all really. I can't remember the last time I read two fiction in two nights. I could say - Terry Pratchett meets The Secret Seven - but it wouldn't do Harry Potter justice. I have no children, and was almost disapointed when I gave my copies to friends' children - and found they'd got there first ! Another mystery: why is the English edition called '...and the Philosophers Stone' ? (Anyone for Quidditch?)

Summary: Summary For Harry Potter
Review: In this book the main character is Harry Potter. His parents died when he was very young. No one could take care of him so he was taken in by his moms sister and her husband. He was to live there until his eleventh birthday when he would attend the school of wizardry called Hogwarts. On his birthday he is taken to buy accessories he would be needing for school like a wand, an owl, and his robe for school; The groundskeeper who was friends with Harry's parents was going to take him to do all this. The next day Harry would meet two new friends Hermoine and Ron who would tell him how to get on the train and tell him about the wizardry that goes on at Hogwarts. After getting off the train they went to the main hall where the new students got in line to see what group they would be in. It turns out Harry was in Gryffyndor, the same as Ron and Hermoine. Harry showed some skills when riding a broom so he was referred to join the Quidditch team. Harry had detention and was sent to clean the forest there he had an encountered the man who killed his parents. The next day they found out someone was robbing an important artifact from Hogwarts. Harry and his friends went through many obstacles to get to the man stealing it. The man was a Professor who was fused with a man that killed Harry's parents and he battled the man using his wizardry powers and with a little help form Professor Dumbledore they destroyed the stone. Harry and his group won the House Cup that is given to the school with the most points that is accumulated for the whole year through various activities.

Summary: Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone
Review: In this book, Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone, Harry Potter finds himself living in torture with the Dursleys at 11 years old. However, he does not know his secret, that he is really a wizard who is famous and survived a dark curse from the evil sorcerer, Voldemort. One day, Harry recieves a letter from the popular wizarding school, Hogwarts. When he enrolls, he does not know what he is about to encounter, an odd game called Quidditch, Professor Snape, and a rematch with Voldemort! Anybody who enjoys reading adventure and mystery will enjoy this book. However, if you enjoy realistic books, and do not like a boring beginning with a family feud, you will not enjoy this book. I enjoyed this book a lot and recommend it to anybody who would be interested. It is a great, not perfect, but great book that contains a lot of intense action and sets itself up to have a sequel.
