Rating: Summary: Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone Review: If you like fantasy and adventure, you should read this book. I couldn't put it down. Harry Potter faces a lot of obstacles. He learns that he has magical powers and how to use them. There are goblins, a wooly mountain troll, a dragon and a three headed dog named Fluffy. This book shows that when someone has no one to help them in a time of need they can still achieve their goals. This story grabs you and pulls you into it. This is a wonderful book, the best I've ever read.

Rating: Summary: eric's review Review: If you like fictional stories alive with mythical beings and magic, you'll love Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone. J.K. Rowling paints the story brilliantly in each chapter. From the normal muggles to the fantastic wizard world, you feel as though you yourself might someday obtain magical powers as well. When I read this story I felt a pang of envy and jealousy. I wish I could fly in a train to school, walk through an invisible wall, test out for my perfect wand, and watch my delicious chocolate frog hop away from me, well maybe not that last one. I might settle for our normal muggle sweets, easier to KEEP my snack, and the thought of placing a wriggly frog in my mouth is just ew, Though this book was meant for younger children, I found myself falling in love with it. Never a dull moment in each page, I could hardly place my book down. Though fantasy, this book seems almost possible. Harry faced with the same problems we might face now, but find escape into the magical Hogswart. This book has the works, the magical flying brooms, dragons, giants, cauldrons, you name it. But they add some spice to it with quidditch, the magical diagon alley, and the goblin banking systems. If you are looking for an escape from reality, that's not too unbelievable, you'll find every form of magic in this book. I love the way you see Harry grow as he battles he-who-must-not-be-named while at the same time finding much meaning to his life. He plays a difficult role as a muggle, a fresh wizard, friend, hero, enemy to the most feared wizard, and find time to do his studies and learn more magic. As you read Harry's experiences and watch him learn, you learn as well and experience just as much as he does. J.K. Rowling really captures the reader into this book.
Rating: Summary: Once you start you can't put this book down: Hilarious!! Review: If you like funny, exciting and suspenseful books then Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone is the book for you. Imagine living the first 10 years of your life in a cabinet under a staircase! This is what happened to Harry Potter. However, on his eleventh birthday he received a letter inviting him to come to the Hogwarts School of Witchery and Wizardry. Here Harry undergoes a HUGE adventure trying to save the Sorcerer's stone from evil hands. I definately enjoyed this book. The author doesn't leave you hanging like some authors do and does a superb job of making the book both funny and suspenseful.
