Rating: Summary: Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone Review: I've read all four of the Harry Potter books multiple times, and recently the fifth. 'Harry Potter and the Sorceror's Stone' is a book about an 11 year old boy who lives with his Aunt Petunia, Uncle Vernon, and his cousin, Dudley. All his life, he's heard that his parents died in a car crash, he's worthless, and he and his parents were good-for-nothing. Then, on the night of his eleventh birthday, his life is changed forever... Harry finds out that he is a wizard, and goes to Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry to learn all about being a wizard. He makes both friends and enemies there. He soon finds out that he is different, even for a wizard. I strongly suggest that you read it.
Rating: Summary: great book Review: i've read all of the first 3 and i'm reading the "goblet of fire" now. the first and third books were great, but the second could have been better. this book is great and even if you read the series out of order like i did(3,1,2) you still get the gist of it.
Rating: Summary: harry potters series Review: I've read all these books and they are all very good. the story is very magical and fantasy.

Rating: Summary: 22 year old Christian who loves this book Review: I've read reviews saying that if you are Christian or an adult you won't like this book. I am 22 years old, a college graduate, raised in a Christian family, graduated at the top of my class and read works far more "literary" than Harry Potter, but I must admit that I love these books.I am currently rereading Harry Potter and the Sorceror's Stone. When I first read it, it was hard to get into. The first chapter is slow and I kept thinking, just hurry up and get to the point. After I made it through the first chapter though, I fell in love with Rowling's characters, especially Hermione, who quickly became my favorite within the novels and still remains so throughout my rereading. I am a person who reads Ernest Hemingway and JD Salinger and TS Eliot, yet I am completely in love with Harry Potter. Rowling's characters and world come to life within my imagination while reading this book. I can feel myself with Harry, locked in his cupboard under the stairs and in his classes under the critical glare of Professor Snape. The emotions Harry feels are the same that we all feel. He makes mistakes and stumbles and falters, but he keeps going, growing and changing along the way.
Rating: Summary: from a prolific reader, this is the best book ever!!!!!! Review: I've read so many books I can't even count them all-notably the hobbit, the redwall series, shakespeare's Midsummer night's dream,To kill a mockingbird, and this book tops them all! I am normally not into these types of books, but this book taught me how to love science fiction books. This book has an interesting and out of this world theme, with an essence of realism and believability. Masterfully written, I give this book a 5 Star rating!
Rating: Summary: Superiour Story Review: I've read this book (Not to mention the other two) over and over, and I still find it the most exiting book I've ever read. I really suggest taking a look at it, for those few people who haven't.
Rating: Summary: This is a instatnt favorite for kids! Review: I've read this book and its two sequals, and I loved them! I could hardly put it down, I know kids from first grade to high school who read these. It great even after you read it, try imagining flying on a broomstick, or learning how to turn a matchbox into a bug. I garuntee that you'll love it!
Rating: Summary: A round of applause for Harry Potter! Review: I've read this book last year during summer vacation, and I was blown off by the light yet magical narration of Rowling. The book was easy to read, but that detail didn't stop me from staying up until the wee hours of morning satiating my hunger to unravel the mystery. I love the book because it mixes wizardry and adventures with some reality of school life. Even my big sister, who doesn't even read school novels for class just because they're boring and doesn't read that much of fantasy books, loved this book. The series is worth a read for anyone creative who wants to experience a whole new world of reality and make-believe.
Rating: Summary: It almost makes me ashamed to be a "Muggle" Review: I've read this book three times and the second book twice. I am waiting for my mum to get the third one. Anyone who hates the book or hasnt read it should be ashamed. A note to the people who think it shouldnt just for kids 9-12 : the people at amazon.com didnt say that. They said that's the level for easy reading.
