Review: Amazon Critique I thought Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone was an excellent, well written book. It is one of my favorites and one I want to read over and over. I always discover something new every time I read this book. I have read this book twice and in the process of reading it a third time. I am also doing a report on this book and this critique is part of it. I would like to say that this book has great description. I actually felt like I was with Harry at Hogwarts. I felt like I was getting in trouble along with him. I felt with him and I love that in a book. I give it two thumbs up and 5 Stars.

Summary: Three Harry Potter Books in Three Days!
Review: An adult friend (age 49)loaned me three Harry Potter books for the summer. Wednesday evening I began the first book and I finished the third today, Saturday morning. I am writing this review before I order the fourth Potter book. Will my friend be surprised to get 4 books back! The author's imagination is vividly presented in a cast of almost believable characters attending a school we all wish we could attend. Classes like "Defense Against Dark Arts", "Divination", "Transfiguration", "Arithmancy" and "Care of Magical Creatures" are written as if the author actually attended them and certainly enjoyed every minute of class. More than can be said for most of the classes I have attended. Each book in the series encompasses one year of Harry's fascinating life. The Potter books are written in a way that can charm any age reader. I am 64.

Summary: Good book from beginning to end, couldn't put it down!
Review: An adventurous Harry Potter has no idea about his past or his parents, because when he was little.... There was a horrible accident. Harry survived it, but had a lightning bolt scar. This is a vivid, detailed book that is well played. It's amount of characters is just enough to confuse you a bit. Bunches at a time. Some good. Some bad. Our fifth grade teacher read it to her class. So I got interested and I started to read it. I read it in a day. I'm reading the second one now. Can't wait for the other five to come out. This wild goose chase of a book is a keeper!!!!!!!!!! So you should read: Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Review: An amazing book! It brings back my imgination - something I thought I lost when I found there was no santa clause! I suggest anybobody even slighlty tempted should give this book the chance it deserves! The tone set in the book almost seems to vibrate off the pages and make the book magic itself!

Review: An enchanting story. J.K. Rowling creates magic in this tale of a young boy and his relationship with his adoptive family, friends (muggles and witches), and the discovery that he is famous. Engaging because the author mixes fantasy, monsters, witches and wizards with humor and the angst of being an eleven year old. We read this story aloud as a family. Our kids, boy 8 and girl 13 could not wait till story time. They both took turns reading. Try it.

Review: An exciting and mysterious story of a wizarding boy by the name of Harry Potter, this book appeals to readers of all ages. Being a muggle, Harry starts his adventures with his evil Aunt and Uncle, eventually being bombarded by letters until they have no choice but to let him go to Hogwarts Wizarding School. He lives his parents name to the fullest no matter if he's up to trouble late at night with Ron and Hermoine or playing Quidditch, the game of many balls. This book was most interesting because it opens the mind to new worlds and ideas. You dont realize that theses ideas are too extreme until it closes each night. Also it leaves you feeling curious, it draws you towards future books, you never know the complete truth of Harry's life. Children will sleep at night dreaming of magic, not of nightmares of the evil Voldemort, its not too scary, just enough to keep you interested. A true classic in the making, don't u think Constance? Love your main man Mr. B!

Review: and buys this book!! I'd resisted for several years, & didn't go to the movie when it was in theaters. Then, during a long hot weekend of a business trip, I ordered this movie up on the hotel tv... and if the movie was that good (with some of my favorite Brit actors), I just HAD to go find the book!
This excellent series is very engaging for all readers who like a good adventure that also gently reminds us how one should behave towards others. I hope to share these volumes with my children as they grow in hopes they will appreciate them as well.
Well-written, just scary enough for the kids, and with fun for all! Enjoy!
