Rating: Summary: Harry Potter was absolutely gripping Review: I'm 14 years old and do a lot of reading. I have read all three books and didn't take more than a week to read each one. I am VERY eagerly awaiting the arrival of the next book. The books are easy to read and would be good for children say above 8 to read. They are also fun to read; however in the third book I had to read the ending twice to figure everything out. These books are absolutely enthralling because the plots of the three books are totally different, but everything is intertwined. Also they get you really pumped up about stuff - I was always wanting to hear more about his classes, Quidditch, and anything magical he did. I HIGHLY recommend these books to anyone who wants something to read! (Also, it's interesting to look at www.amazon.co.uk or whatever the British Amazon site is - their covers and stuff are totally different! :o)
Rating: Summary: Excellent for Everyone Review: I'm 14 years old and kids' books aren't technically considered "cool" but I find myself talking about these to all my friends. I think anyone will enjoy the writing style exhibited by Ms. Rowling. She has an undeniable gift for words.
Rating: Summary: Utterly Brilliant Review: I'm 14 years old and not in the least bit ashamed to admit that I am an avid fan of the magnificent Harry Potter. One day last September, I wandering around aimlessly at a B. Dalton bookstore after school and then suddenly a paperback edition of The Sorcerer's Stone caught my eye. I had heard about this new Harry Potter craze, so I decided to shell out the six dollars to see what all this fuss was about. I picked up my copy of Harry Potter One and happily skipped off to the counter to pay for it. When I got home, I immidiately rushed to my bedroom, flopped down in my green-apholstered reclining chair, and read it the whole way through. I simply couldn't put this book down; I enjoyed profusely. J.K. Rowling is now one of the few favorite authors I have; her work is just so, well, I can't find a greater word to express my feelings about it, but, it's utterly brilliant. After about three consecutive hours of blissful reading, I came to the end of Book One, and I had the great urge to go out and read the next two, and now I'm looking forward to obtaining the fourth enstallment of this captivating series. Now, I know that there are probably many out there who have heard of Harry Potter but have merely shrugged it off without having actually reading one of the novels or giving it a fair chance, I highly suggest you just read it with an open mind. You'll be pleasantly surprised.
Rating: Summary: Brilliant! Review: I'm 16 and I borrowed this book from my little brother when so many people told me how good it was! I was not dissapointed I loved the humour and the magic the twist etc etc. I don't want to give any story away but I like how a poor unfortunate boy finds out he is not as poor and unfortunate any more...it makes me smile! Read it you won't regret it!
Rating: Summary: Great book for everyone with imagination!!! Review: I'm 18 years old and when I bought Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone, I just felt like a kid with a new toy. The author drives the reader through a trip of magic and adventure! After reading the first one you would have to read them all! Harry Potter fights in the battle of good vs. evil, takes risks to help his friends and gives the reader great lessons that, not only children but grownups should learn. I recommend this book to everyone. Maybe we can make the Harry Potter's Fan Club!

Rating: Summary: The Beginning of an Increadible Journey Review: I'm 20 years old and I fell in love with a childrens novel. I wouldn't have guessed that in my life. The book that targets young children, had my mom, dad, sister, and myself reading til the early dawn. Once you pick up "Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone" you will struggle to put the book down. A young child Harry Potter brings us to the magical world of spells and snakes. One reading the book becomes engulfed in the fancy new language and concepts brought on by J. K. Rowling. After reading the books, I felt a part of the young child and his magical friends lives. It was so easy to become engulfed with a child who is an outcast in a society we live in yet famous in a world that seems as real as anything else, but truely a figment of the readers imagination. It's a great gift for a young loved one, but don't be suprised when you pick up the book and read it all in a day or two. You will probably end up buying the rest of the books too.
Rating: Summary: I confess Review: I'm 26 years old and I loved this book...even more so, I loved this series :::peers into her mailbox waiting for the delivery of #4:::While this book is not on a literary par with such works as Winnie-the-Pooh, or Carroll's Alice, it is an enchanting look into the realms of possibility. The book reads quickly, and is easy to relate to. As an 11 year old, I was thrilled and enthralled by A Wrinkle in Time by Madeline L'Engle and the House with a Clock in its Walls by John Bellairs. Had Harry been around then, he certainly would have taken a well worn spot on my bookshelf.
Rating: Summary: Whimsical and Charming! Review: I'm 27 and I got this book from my sister who is 31. This book was a delight to read. Its fun and whimsical and easy to read. Get it, you'll enjoy it!
