Summary: An outstanding read
Review: I read this book because my best friend told me that it was excellant novel. I took her advice and I read through all three in the matter of two to three days. I was amazed at the idea of a magical wizard world that exists right in front of our "Muggle" eyes. It was a suspensful and interesting story that you never can never put down. I eagerly await the next books that J.K. Rowling will bring out. Any person who claims that this is a horror story and has no true value is just jealous at one person's great sucess because of true talent!

Summary: I'm in love!
Review: I read this book because of the hype surrounding it. Immediately I became engrossed. I was actually reading this as the new millennium dawned. How many ordinary kids would love to discover that they're actually wizards! Harry Potter is for all ages! It's easy to read, but not childish. I could see Privet Drive, Diagon Alley, and Hogwarts colorfully emblazoned in my mind. I can't wait for the movie to come out in theaters! Believe the buzz about Harry! I reccomend Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone, a novel that rarely dissappoints and will leave its readers begging for more.

Summary: Harry Potter, a Masterpiece Among the Children
Review: I read this book before all hype of Harry Potter, and I finally took time to rate it.HPSS is truly a great book for all children and any adult who enjoys a great adventure. I loved reading HPSS and am so anxiously waiting for the movie-hope it lives up to it.

Summary: An instant classic for kids and adults too
Review: I read this book for a book group that my 11-year-old son and I attend. I absolutely could not put it down, from the first page to the last. My son started re-reading it as soon as I finished it. In many ways it's a classic coming-of-age story in the tradition of the Dark Is Rising series, but there is a whimsy and irreverence to the characters and storyline that is not present there, or even in Tolkein's books. Harry Potter is a must-read for anyone, but particularly boys 4th to 8th grades.

Summary: What an extraordinary book and author!
Review: I read this book for a class. Before I began it, i dreaded it. I thought it would offend me (as a christian), and though it would be another poorly written children's novel. However, I quickly found myself caught up in the magic of this book. I read through it in less than 2 days and quickly followed that by reading thr next three. As an elementary education pre-service teacher, and an intelligent young woman, I was surprised by how a writer can write to capture not only the imaginations of the young, but also the young at heart.

Review: I read this book for a Young Adult Literature class at college. For those who like fantasy, magic and strange occurrences, this book delivers. It has dragons, witches, potions, spells, wizards, tricks, and suspense. It also gives a realistic view of youthful alienation and discouragement. However, if you want something more realistic, insightful, and more connected to world issues, look elsewhere.

Review: I read this book in 2 days, and you can already tell by summary that this book is a winner! This is far and away the best book that I ever read in my life!! I can't wait for the 4 new books to come out, J.K. Rowling.

Summary: The story was interesting, a lot of action, and imaginative.
Review: I read this book in French because I live in France and Iprefer to read in French rather than English.I think that Harry Potterwas the best story I ever read. I like the kind of magic teachers he had and the part about the bad magician who was Voldemor. I would definietely recommend this book to my friends. Did anybody else read it in French? Summary: The Best Book for kids AND adults!
Review: I read this book in October as a suggestion from my teacher and when I finished, I thought that it was the best book in the world. Now in August, I have bought the book and the 2nd book and read both twice. If anybody is still questioning buying this book I'm telling you that this is the best book for kids and adults alike if they are interested in great imagination and total fantasy.

Summary: COULDN'T PUT IT DOWN!
Review: I read this book in one day, and when I did I was so upset that I finished it! It's one of those books you wish were everlasting! Of the four books (which I have recently finished) I found that this book stands out from the others because you learn with Harry about the wizarding world! The excitement of Muggles, Diagon Alley, Platform nine and three quarters, 'He who must not be named', and the amazement of Hogwarts itself is fresh, and new! The Story begins by learning of Harry's magical background, and being introduced to the horrid Dursley's, and the magnificent Harry. Withing the first page you will be whisked into the amazing story, and fall in love with good old Harry. This book contains so many memorable characters from the wonderful sidekicks Hermione, Ron, Hagard, and the gang... and the characters you love to hate: Proffesor Snape, Draco Malfoy, and fat, ugly Dudley Dursley! Buy this book immediately, and don't forget to get the next three too! You'll finish this book in a heartbeat, and you'll be aching to learn more about Harry and his wonderful life.
