Summary: It was the best book in the world, I 100% reccomend it.
Review: I personally think it was the best book in the world. If you think you have a hard life then you should read this book and see how easy you have it. He has to live with people who barely even know he's there. Imagine having every one think of you as a nothing a zero pratically invisible. But he gets a little bit happier after he meets the hogwarts gamekeeper. Then the whole book changes. If you want to find out what happens read this book.

Summary: A magical treat for all ages!
Review: I personally think this was a terrific and absolutely excellent book. Any age can read it! I read it and recommended it to my Grandmother, who is hardly stopping her reading! I started it one day, and left off somewhat near the beginning. About a week ago, I picked it up and finished the rest hardly putting it down! The book was both captivating and suspensful. I claim "The Sorcerer's Stone" as my new favorite book.

Summary: Excellent ! whatever some people say !
Review: I personally thought that the Harry Potter books were really good . The people that say they are bad for children are just trying to find something wrong with the books as everybody thinks they are so good . If you are considering reading it then DO ! You will never regret it !

Summary: Lots of fun
Review: I picked this book up in a store just to see what the big deal was. An hour later the store closed and I had to buy the book to keep going. A week later I finished Book 4. They're great books for anyone who enjoys a classical adventure. They have all the right elements: the underdog hero with a dramatic past; the villains; magic. They're saved from being cutesy kids' books, as so many are anymore, by the dark undercurrent that runs through all of the books. Harry Potter and his friends and enemies become real (admittedly Voldemort is a bit cartoonish, but that's part of the fun) and when they're in peril, as they frequently are, you genuinely worry about them, and breathe a sigh of relief when they're saved in time for another adventure. I didn't believe all the hype at first; now I can't wait for #5 to come out!

Summary: Harry Potter & the Sorceror's Stone is beyond brilliant!
Review: I picked this book up just as I was about to leave a store. I didn't know that it would be so exciting! I couldn't believe that Professor Quirrel was the villain! Harry Potter & the Sorceror's Stone is a wonderful book for everybody.I own the second book, which I also thought is excellent too. I agree with some other people that Ms. Rowling shouldn't ruin her wonderful array of characters by selling them to toymakers and businesses that will make Harry Potter into an action figure, trading cards, etc. All in all, Harry Potter is the best!

Summary: What a delightful read!
Review: I picked this up on the recommendation of a friend and completely enjoyed the story, even though I'm an adult. It has all the trappings of a hero quest story, but is told with a wonderful voice, with interesting characters, and unpredictable events. I thought I knew how the story would end and was delighted to be wrong. I'm looking forward to the rest of the stories.

Summary: A pretty good fantasy
Review: I picked this up on the theory that if it's banned in South Carolina, there must be something good about it. And it was an entertaining read. I'm a little scared of the people who claim it's the "best book ever written," but I'd read more (in paperback. Rowling's prose may not be up to the standard of C.S. Lewis', but I didn't feel like I was being hit over the head with her religion, or like screaming because of the 1940's-era sexism. Not bad, especially for kids.

Summary: Great Reading for Adults with Children!
Review: I picked up a copy of Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone prior to leaving town on business. I couldn't put it down on the flight. It was a pure delight to read. Now I am reading it to my 6 and 8 year old. My wife keeps getting after me for keeping the kids up too late, but we are having way too much fun with this book. My 8-year old son can hardly wait for me to get home at night so we can read together. Reading with my kids has been very rewarding and this book has been a blast to read with them. Come on dads! Get this book and have some fun with your kids. You'll all love Harry! By the way. I am now nearly done with the second book and it is just as good! I've got another business trip planned for next week and I plan to pick up the third one for the trip. It beats the heck out of any business related book, high-tech thriller or murder mystery I could currently choose from. I've yet to meet an adult who has read Harry Potter that hasn't felt the same.

Summary: Engaging, Enjoyable Read
Review: I picked up Harry Potter and reread the book couple years after the debut release. I have to mention that I have not yet seen the movie because I want to save it as a surprising experience. Winning acclaims from all over the world and across all age groups, Harry Potter is an engaging, enjoyable read. The opening of the story already captured my attention. The many letters delivered to Harry in the cupboard under the stairs, revelation of Potter's identity, the only baby survived under You-Know-Who's attack, the Diagon Alley, the sorting hat... Second part of the story builds up with an element of suspense, adventures, and the battle again the Dark Side. Though it was somehow unconvincing that 11-year-old kids like Harry, Ron, and Hermonie could have fought the troll, played the magic chessboard and battle the evil, Harry Potter has proven to be one of the most engaging stories in our lifetime. It has been said that movie was not as well-done as the book. It's reasonable that not all the tiny details from the book can be stuffed into a less-than-3-hour screenplay. I recommend everyone to immerse into the magic experience of Hogwarts. Good read.

Summary: This book was fabulous!
Review: I picked up Harry Potter and the Sorceror's Stone and I didn't stop reading until I'd finished Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban. It's been a long time since I have found a series of books that has been so engrossing and so entertaining. I would recommend these to everyone.
