Summary: I had to hide this book from my child!
Review: I had to hide this book from my 11.5 year old child, so he WOULDN'T READ AHEAD!!!!! Completely enchanting. We've had such great belly laughs and ah ha's! Great ponderings of what may have been causing something else to happen. Awesome read aloud. We're almost finished with the second book (Chamber of Secrets) and can't wait to read the third. My hiding spot for the book is fabulous. He hasn't found it yet. He must be a muggle :-).

Summary: I LOVED THIS BOOK!!
Review: I had to read Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone for my book club meeting. It didn't sound like such a great book at first but once I got my hands on it all I could do was read! Reading the first and second Harry Potter books let my imagination soar with Harry's Nimbus 2,000. I couldn't wait for my mom to come back from England and return with The Prisoner of Azkban. Now that I've finished with that one I won't read anything else until the next book comes out. I can't wait!!!! this book is truely the best book I've ever read. Anyone can start reading it and have the characters come to life right in before your eyes. I really recommend this book to anyone, no matter what kind of books they like!!

Summary: Wizardry not just for kids anymore...
Review: I had to read Harry Potter and the Sorcerers Stone for a college course, and I loved it! I'm not into science fiction, which is why I couldn't give it 5 stars, but it seems to me that kids of all ages will enjoy this book. I also saw the movie, and it followed the book rather closely. However if you saw the movie and enjoyed it, then definitely read this book. I'm not much of a reader, but I'm planning on buying the others.

Summary: harry potter and the sorcerer's stone
Review: i hate this book itis way too scary for me and the girls in the book are not realistic and they talk stupidly. i would never reccomend this book to anyone 10 or older even though i am 8 and would never read the rest of it.(even though i only read ten chapters). they have too much scary scenes in it and not much details so no pictures pop up in my head. every time i read the book i get scared and can't sleep at night. i always have to sleep witht he night light on or sleep with my mom. it would never be a book that i like.

Summary: Incredibly entertaining and captivating!
Review: I have a son in 6th grade who considered reading a chore. I encouraged him to try Harry Potter & the Sorceror's Stone and an incredible transformation occurred! He is reading constantly, without any nagging! J.K. Rowling is amazing to put together such a fun, imaginative and captivating story. I read the story myself and found it great for all ages! You crave to read the next one and know more about Harry and his experiences at wizard school. I have been recommending it to everyone I see.

Summary: Harry Potter and his friends are great!
Review: I have all three books in the Harry Potter series and each is better than the one before. I am a 25 year old working professional, and I was completely enthralled! I would recommend this book for any adult. I can't wait until the next one comes to the bookshelves.

Summary: Fantasy Follower
Review: I have always been a lover of a good fantasy novel. I constantly heard people ranting and raving about Harry Potter. I finally decided to give him a try and I fell in love. I couldn't put it down and once I finished the first book I had to run out and get the other three. I'm still counting down until Year 5 comes out.
J K Rowling created Harry Potter's world to contain enough imagination to keep me interested with making Harry himself normal enough to seem real. It's the perfect balance.

Summary: A Great Start to a Fantastic Story!
Review: I have always been one who reads science fiction and fantasy books and this is quite a good one! At first, I admit, I thought that I would never even pick up a Harry Potter book...the fact that it was a 'children's book' drove me away. Even on amazon.com it declares the reading level from 9-12. But all of that changed when my aunt, another voracious reader, told me about how good they are. So she lent them to me and I finished each one in about a day...you can easily read them in one sitting; and they were wonderful!

Harry Potter is a great character and JK Rowling has done a wonderful job! This book is very easy to read, yet her writing style leans towards all ages. The story is great, filled with magic and wonderful characters. And besides, even if you decide that you aren't enjoying it-even though you probably will love it-don't complain because it'll be finished soon!

Sure Harry Potter's wonderful story was aimed at kids, but you know what, so was Star Wars...this is a magical story that all ages will love! Enjoy!

Summary: Excellent reading, not just for kids.
Review: I have always enjoyed reading but have not read a book in a long time. I would start a book and then end up not finishing it. The books that I read all the way through I could count on one hand. But after I took my niece and nephew to see Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone I was interested in the story and decided to start reading the book. It was so throughly interesting that I could not put it down, I ended up finishing it within a week. I also read Chamber of Secrets in a week. I am now on the 3rd one and will read them all eventually. I think these books are great, and I am glad that kids are having fun reading them. But I do not think they are just for kids. I am 37 and I am having a great time reading them. The stories are always unpredictable, you never know what will happen next... I am looking forward to the new book and the new movie later this year. Keep up the great work J.K. Rowling.
