Review: I cant believe that there is such a good book out there for kids my age to read. I would recommend Harry Potter for kids ages 5 and up. Harry Potter is one of the greatest books I have ever read.

Summary: Harry Potter and the Sorceror's Stone, What a book!
Review: I commend J.K. Rowling on this book. As the first book in the series, it gives you the information you need to get into the book. I have read this book between 3 and 5 times. It never gets boring. This book inspired me greatly. Each time I've read it, I have felt as if I'm in the story. I have felt like I'm standing there as I turn each page and read each word. The adventure, the thrill, the heart-warming setting that Rowling creates in this book is wonderful! I loved this first book so much I had to read the rest of the series. I have now read the whole series 5 times. It gives me absolute joy. I know that I will never forget the feeling I get when I read these books. I will make sure that Rowling's tales never end. No matter what you like to read, you will enjoy this book and the rest of the series. Anyone of any age will enjoy Rowling's Harry Potter series.

Summary: Wonderful Reading!
Review: I commute 2.5 hrs per day, as a result I listen to many audiobooks. This is by far one of the best performed books that I have ever listened to. Mr. Jim Dale is wonderful! I smiled, laughed and actually cheered my way through several traffic jams, thanks to Harry Potter and his friends. Please publish the remaining stories in unabridged audio, and don't let anyone read them but Mr. Dale!

Summary: I didn't want to like it, but I did.
Review: I confess that I was put off by the tremendous craze surrounding the Harry Potter books. People can go wild over the silliest things - pet rocks, for instance. I imagined that Potter-mania would be something similar. But after being called a muggle once too often, I decided I had better take a look and see what all the fuss was about. And now I must admit, I am impressed.Rowling has a real talent for storytelling. She does a terrific job of managing the plot, and uses almost every scene to develop the story. The tale will definitely hold the attention of young readers. Older readers will also enjoy it. In fact, more than a few authors of adult novels could take a lesson or two from Rowling. Let me also say that I had one other bias against Harry Potter before I read it. One of my favorite authors when I was growing up was John Bellairs, whose trilogy "The House with a Clock in its Walls" also dealt with a young boy who lost his parents, and is introduced to the world of magic. It seemed like an affront that Rowling should receive so much more attention than Bellairs. After reading "Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone" I can say that it is as enjoyable as Bellairs' books, though different in tone and execution. If you are a Harry Potter fan, you owe it to yourself to take a look at "The House with a Clock in its Walls."

Summary: Look past the hype and give this a chance!
Review: I confess. I was way too cool for Harry Potter. I thought anything that could appeal to so many people had to be a little too simplistic for intellectual-smarty-pants me. I was so completely wrong. This book brought me back to my days tearing through books as a child, and made me remember why I learned to love to read in the first place. The story is beautifully written and captivating, with a hero one can whole-heartedly cheer for. (How long has it been since you read "adult" fiction like that?) If you liked "James and the Giant Peach" or the Narnia Chronicals as a kid, and you have been putting off picking this up because you think it is perhaps beneath you, I beg you to discover how wrong you are as well.

Review: I could hardly put this book down. It was a creative and eventful book that everyone should read. It is written for people of all ages from 5-1000. My favourite character was Hagrid, he was wonderful.

Summary: Harry Potter and the Sorcerers Stone: A Masterpiece
Review: I could not give enough praise to J.K. Rowling. This is one of the most wonderful books I have ever read. I am a middle school girl and I do not have a TV. Therefore most of my time is spent consuming book after book after book. I have read many, many books by various different authors and I have to say this is as endearing and well written as everyones favorites by Roald Dahl and Beverly Cleary. I think Ms. Rowling is perhaps the new Roald Dahl. She has a brilliant and creative mind and I think that everyone everywhere should read this book. It will become an all-time favorite for your family too, I guarantee.
