Summary: Highly entertaining
Review: I bought the three Harry Potter books to see what all the fuss was about. I haven't had so much fun reading a book (normally I read histories and biographies) for years. Anybody, young and old, who doesn't enjoy Harry Potter and his adventures doesn't have a heart, has no imagination and never had a dream. I hope there are more Harry Potter books and they are as good as the ones so far.

I have no time at all for any nonsense that Harry Potter books promote witchcraft, satanic rites, black magic, murder, mayhem, truancy, nose picking and the use of alchohol free beer. Harry Potter is a well writen, funny, entertaining story about the adventures of a kid at school. Only the terminally paranoid could turn it into an Evil Conspiracy to Destroy the World As We Know It.

Summary: I am totally surprised by how much I liked this audiobook!
Review: I bought this audiobook as a way to keep my two small kids happy on a 500 mile car drive last month. They are a little young for it (age 5 and 4) and fell asleep through much of it, but I was hooked by tape 2! I bought books 2,3 and 4 and can hardly wait for them to arrive from Amazon (maybe today!)

Summary: For all ages..
Review: I bought this book after my little sister (10 years my junior) begged, nay, ORDERED me to pick up a copy. As a first year law student, I bought it thinking that I would maybe have some time to peruse it on the long flight home. After the first page I was entranced and couldn't put it down. I spent a good evening cuddled with Sorcerer's Stone, my OneL reading glaring at me from my desk. It is enchanting, it is inspiring, it is a great read, even for a cynic like me. Buy it! You might never find your inner adult again. And isn't that worth every penny?!

Summary: can't wait to read more!
Review: I bought this book as a birthday gift for my best friend without having ever read it...I flipped thru the pages, and I was hooked! I just had to finish the book in 1 sitting. It's funny, it's interesting, it's like a less complicated 'Lord of the Rings' yet with all its charms. My friend and I are both 21, and I know he's gonna love it just as I did. I can't wait to get a copy of my own and read the others too!

Summary: This is a "spell-binding" book!
Review: I bought this book as a Christmas present for my nine-year-old granddaughter, Brooke. I started reading it and couldn't put it down! I will definitely get the next book in the series for her.

Summary: Must read for all
Review: I bought this book at an airport, almost by coincidence. Half way through the redeye flight from the West Coast of US to Hong Kong, I finished the book. It is that attractive.

Adventures and surprises were plentiful. I have passed this book to me 9-year-old son and I am reading it to my 5-year-old.

You are never too old for this.

Summary: It's Magic!
Review: I bought this book because a 30-year old friend talked me into it. My expectations were minimal (after all, it *is* a children's book!); but what a pleasant shock! I couldn't put it down -- it's clever, imaginative, suspenseful, and funny. I feel sorry for the unfortunate children whose misguided parents forbid them to enjoy Harry's magical journey from the cupboard under the stairs. There are lessons in friendship, honesty, and bravery -- and consequences, when things go wrong. My 4-year old son loves to hear about Harry and I'm looking forward to when he's older and we can read these delightful books together.

Summary: Wonderful book for any age
Review: I bought this book because my seven year old daughter wanted to see the movie, and I had heard a lot of bad things about these books, (devil worship, promotes witchcraft...etc.) I loved this book!! After I finished the book we saw the movie, and it was also very good, and followed the book very closely. For anyone out there considering this book, buy it, your kids, and you will love it. Yes, it is a fairy tale, (Cinderella, and Snow white both had magic and witches but there was no outcry about them) and I guarantee that your children will understand that there is no school where they teach you to fly on broomsticks. The book emphasizes the battle between good and evil, and you wear yourself out holding your breath, and rooting for the good guys. For what it's worth you have my two enthusiastic thumbs up!!!

Summary: Witty and Interesting!
Review: I bought this book because my younger brother wanted to read it. of course, it was appropriate that i read it first to make sure that it was alright for him to read. i finished all three of them in days! i absoultly loved the sorcers stone especially because it places you in a magical world that all people feel is there, somewhere. the controversy about this book is totally wrong, it doesn't bring ideas of cults and whatnot into a child mind, it stimulates the imagination.

Summary: A mere kid's book? I think not!!!
Review: I bought this book for my 10 year old daughter, who devoured it. She loved it so much, she insisted on starting to read it aloud to me one night as I was washing dishes. I, of course, ended up staying up that night to read the book all the way through to its conclusion! Charming, exciting, engaging simply wonderful -- beginning to end. I'm almost 40 and have not enjoyed a book so much in a long time. J.K. Rowling -- my hat is off to you!!!
