Rating: Summary: THE BOOK YOU CANT STAND TO BE AWAY FROM! Review: I am prode two say that I have read all four books Twice and I still can't keep my nose out of them! Hi im Jessica Flocinsuath.Ever since ive laid eyes on Harry Potter I fell in love with the books!I swear these books make you want to read.there for grownups to and frankly i think everyboby should read them.
Rating: Summary: Great read aloud for parents and teachers alike! Review: I am reading Harry Potter to my class of 3rd graders and they love it! It is exciting, funny, and fast paced. I think I laugh as much as the kids do!
Rating: Summary: I purchased for my kids but I might have enjoyed it more! Review: I am reading Harry Potter to my two children. It is great! Not since I read the OZ books as a child have I enjoyed a children's story more. I think this series will become a classic. I can't wait to read the next one.
Rating: Summary: This story is absolutely fabulous especially as a read aloud Review: I am reading this book aloud to a group of 24 sixth graders. This book has captured the attention of my predominately male class (16) from the first sentence. Actually the entire class is loving it!!! I am not allowed to either skip a read aloud session or shorten the amount of time I read. My only complaint is when will the next book in the series be available on the West Coast!!!
Rating: Summary: Children's classic- regardless of the age of the child Review: I am roughly 4.2 times older than the recommended age group for this book- and I adored it. Inventive, sly, humorous, and great fun- as well as scary in parts, sneaky in others. Very well written without a trace of condescension for the audience. I highly recommend this book. Yes, a 9 year old can read it him/herself, but I read it aloud to my 41/2 year old granddaughter, and she was enraptured with it. A GREAT read aloud book. Cannot wait for Harry's second year at Hogwarts- and isn't that the PERFECT name for a boarding school?
Rating: Summary: An excellent book that keeps the magic coming Review: I am sixteen years old and bore with books easily, but I was persistant when it came to "Harry Potter", it was amazing. When I put the book down, I was never disappointed with what I'd read, and was never bored. I'm looking forward to reading book #2, the chamber of secrets. I would recomend this book to anyone, it's not hard to read and expands the mind at the same time. I am so pleased with my experience, and intend on coming back for more, very soon. The magic is always there, it never goes away.
Rating: Summary: A gotta' read book for all!!!!! Review: I am so amazed at the response to this book and the second Harry Potter!!! I am a 6th grade teacher in Florida that is very thankful to Polly for turning my son, my students, and me on to Harry Potter. I have not only loved the story, but have enjoyed the fun of seeing others read and fall in love with Harry Potter. Every student and grown up friend I tell about the book, reads it and LOVES it. Most people are reading the two books within a few days. We are all waiting anxiously for the #3 book in the series of 7 to come out. Wow, what a marvelous hit!!!!
Rating: Summary: I LLLLLOOOOOVVVVEEEDDD TTTHHHIIISSS BBBBBOOOOOOOKKKKK! Review: I am sorry I exaggerated how much I loved this book. It was a very good book and indeed is. I am noticing how almost everybody is agreeing with me. First Harry Potter didn't even catch my interest, I didn't even want to pick up the book (no offense), but as more and more people urged me to pick up the smooth textured, hard covered book and dive into it, the more interested I got into it. Finally, I held the book in my hands and read until my eyes were sore. I could not stop reading, the suspense took sorrows and worries out of my mind and took me to a place filled with wonderful fantasies. I would highly, toweringly reccommend you to read this book and enjoy it.
Rating: Summary: I love it! Review: I am still reading this book but I think it's absoloutly fantastic so far! I love when they go to the zoo on Dudley's birthday and that huge snake gets out. Some of my friends have read it and they say it's really good. If I saw it at a book store I would definitly buy it! I haven't read ay others of the series, but I plan on it! My favorite character so far is Dumbledore.
Rating: Summary: Anthony Michaels review for "Harry Potter - Book 1" Review: I am sure that there are hundreds of reviews on this book, and I have a feeling that nobody will notice this one. But, if you have just happened to come across it, then you'll learn that I personally love this book. I have bought two copies of it, and I'm sure anybody would. If you have read it, then you know what I mean. If you haven't, then you might want to know what I think. It's got a very good plot and is very imaginable. It's one of those books were you can sit there, read it, and wish you could be there with the characters. And at some times, it's almost like your taken away from reality and put in a world full of magic and wonderful creatures. So, if you EVER get a chance to read this book - DON'T IGNORE IT!!!....
