Summary: Harry Potter Books 1, 2, & 3
Review: I am a 25 year old reader with a BA in English Literature and I have to say that these are some of the most enjoyable and well-written books of any era that I have read. While they may have originally been intended to be children's literature, they have completely surpassed all of their author's expectations and that of their readers. They are sure to become classics. I am one of the thousands that have pre-ordred Book 4 from Amazon and I'm anxiously awaiting its release.

Summary: Excellent, Excellent, Excellent! READ THIS BOOK!
Review: I am a 26-year old college student (elem. education), and I must say that the Harry Potter books are great. They are exciting, hard to put down and very easy to read - yet they are also extremely appealing to people of all ages. These books are destined to become classics and Harry Potter will always remain in a special place in my heart reserved for special storybook characters. If you enjoyed these books and are aching for more, I recommend The Neverending Story by Michael Ende, the Wizard of Oz books by L. Frank Baum, The Narnia Chronicles by CS Lewis, Ella Enchanted by Gail Carson Levine, or anything by Roald Dahl. Beverly Cleary and Judy Blume books are also great, although they are a different style than Harry Potter.

Summary: Must read
Review: I am a 30-year-old male and I have read enough books in my life. But I can honestly say that I've never skipped any sleep for any other book before I started reading these books. I could not put them down, not just a first one - all four of them. I finished reading them (all four) in less then a week. Each one seems to be better then the one before.

For anyone with a slight imagination these books are the most enjoyable reading. They have everything the reader can look for in a story. And most importantly, pages are not felled with unnecessary details like most adult books I've read. Non-stop adventure.

Only disappointment I felt was when I finished the fourth book and realized that next one was not published yet.

Two very enthusiastic thumbs up to Ms. Rowling for writing the most creative book I've ever read in my life.

And as for those criticizing these books: GET A LIFE. There is enough garbage published as Christian fiction/literature to complain about. It is fiction (made up, invented) and a very well written one as well.

Must read for every child and adult.

Summary: Hooked!
Review: I am a 31 year old pediatric nurse. My 6 year old son received this book as a Christmas present but isn't quite old enough to read it by himself yet. Since we have a long commute in the mornings, I rented the book on tape version. It is too confusing for him at this age to keep the characters straight and we didn't finish more then the first couple of chapters. However, I see my patients and their parents sitting in the waiting room thoroughly absorbed in the Harry Potter series and I wanted to see what all the fuss was about. I just finished the book last night and I am anxious to get to book 2! I am really looking forward to reading these again with my son in a couple of years when he is older!

Summary: UNBELIEVABLE!!!
Review: I am a 32 year old female and just read the 1st Harry Potter book about 2 weeks ago. I have finished the first 3 and I am now on the 4th and I love it. I only started reading Harry Potter for my husband's sake (who is 41 years old) because he gets so angry when people put these books down, I wanted to find out what he was talking about. I absolutely enjoyed the first 3 books and know the 4th is going to be just as great. I have already preordered the 5th. We plan on reading Harry Potter books to our children. Read Harry Potter, they are Great!!!

Summary: Not just for kids
Review: I am a 34 year old physician and I've read the first 2 Harry Potter books for myself, not my kids. I do not remember having read anything more entertaining and downright enjoyable! I have already pre-ordered the next book and I can hardly wait to start another adventure with Harry and his friends.

Summary: Outstanding , entertaining read for ALL ages!!!
Review: I am a 35 year-old mother of a 10-month old. A few months ago I saw J.K. Rowling on the Rosie O'Donnell show talking about her books. I had never heard of them before, so I called my 11 year-old niece to find out it she had ever heard of them. She had, in fact, and said they were her favorite books. So, I went right out and bought them both. Well, I just finished Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone and I can't begin to say enough good things about it! I can't believe anyone of any age wouldn't enjoy this story. Harry is one of the most endearing underdogs that have come down the pike in a long time. Every page reads like a new adventure! J.K. Rowling's character descriptions and story development make you feel like you're right there next to Harry. Don't be surprised to find yourself cheering outloud by the end of the story. I can't wait to start on Harry's next adverture. My husband and I are avid readers, and I have started a box of our favorite children's books for our son when he's ready to begin reading. Harry Potter's stories are going on the very top of the stack! I understand J.K. Rowling has plans for two more, after the newest to be released in October. I can't wait to hear more of Harry and his adventures!

Summary: Everyone of all ages should read this book!!!
Review: I am a 36 year-old who has read this book. I was pretty surprised once I got started on the story. This book was written for people of all ages. I have to say I was glad I took the time to enjoy this story. I am on the second one now. I am hooked!!!!! Thank you R.K. Rowling..

Summary: Harry Potter - guilty (?) pleasure for adults too!
Review: I am a 36-year-old male who reads almost everything I can get my hands on... I found myself curious what all the fuss was about with Harry Potter, so I risked the embarassment and bought this book. All I can say is: Wow! I wish these books existed when I was a kid! The comparisons to Roald Dahl's Charlie (and the Chocolate Factory) are apt, but this book may be even better. I read it cover-to-cover in less than a day, and had trouble putting it down. So even if you're an adult, buy this book for yourself and not just for your kids!

Summary: Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone
Review: I am a 37 year old female, that reads mainly hardcore who-done-it books. I happen to pick up Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone for curiosity sake. Not only, was this a no blinker , it made me smile with genuine folly. I just finished Harry Potter and the Secret Chamber and can hardly wait to dive head first into Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban . The only problem is, what will I read until then next enchanting tango with Harry Potter?
