Rating: Summary: Best Book(s) of the Decade Review: I read about the hype and the hoopla and I thought, I hate kid lit. But I succumbed to the lure. The books were staring me in the face everywhere I went. Bookstores, grocery stores. I bought a paperback of the first book at the market. Drove home. Crawled into bed with a large glass of limeade and a pile of sugar cookies and began to read. With much cynicism, I might add. Sometime in the night I crept out of bed and ordered the rest of the books from Amazon. Ordered the first one in HARDCOVER. And the whole time I'm thinking, I don't think I can wait for the fourth one. Even people who HATE to read will love these books. For those few, miserable souls who sniff at Harry Potter, all I can say is, You must sniff at a lot of books.

Rating: Summary: You can't leave it for a seond! Review: I read all 5 books (yes I read it already) and I really enjoyed them. At first I read the books beause everyone in my class read the books (that was before the 4th book came out) so I felt kind of pressured to read the books, so I read the first book and I really enjoyed it! then the seond, after that I read the 3th book and I thought it was the best. Now that I read 5 books already, I really see that the third book was one of the best book that J.K Rolling wrote. Firstly, the plot was very interesting and exciting. Seondly, J.K Rolling doesn't over writes in this book (that really gets kind of boring) she kind of gets to the point here. So I really do reommend this book. And of course the other Harry Potter books.
Rating: Summary: Potter books are excellent!!! Review: I read all three Harry Potter books in a week. I bought themfor my 8 year old and as we started reading them together, (I)couldn't stop. These are the best books I've read in years. They make you feel good and I personally ended up wishing that there really was a world like that. The author's imagination is wonderful. I can't wait for the next one.
Rating: Summary: My Thought On This Book Review: I read Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban, and WOW! It was the most surprising book I read yet. When I finished it I wish there was more to it. The story is about a boy named Harry Potter who was going back to Hogwarts School for Witchcraft and Wizardry. Hogwarts is a school for teaching young witches and wizards. For Christmas Harry got a magnificent, gleaming broomstick called the Firebolt. Harry has a problem with dementors. He asked his new Defense Against the Dark Arts teacher to help him. He also went to Professor McGonagall if he could go to Hogsmead. This is what she had to say. "I'm afraid not, Potter. You heard what I said. No form, no visiting the village. That's the rule" The new professor, that's teaching harry to defend himself, also has a secret.
Rating: Summary: A must read for all kids! Review: I read the book HARRY POTTER AND THE PRISONER OF AZKABAN by J.K Rowling. I thought it was a good book. I would recommend this book to anyone that likes magic and that likes long books. I think that J.K. Rowling should write many more books. All of her books are great.
Rating: Summary: wow! what a great book Review: I read the book Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban. It is the third book in the Harry Potter series. And WOW! The books keep getting better as you go through the series! I mean how does she come up with these things. She has so many cool twists. Like Harry learning to conquer his fear of the Azkaban prison guards. Believe me what they do to him isn't pretty. Many secrets are revealed too. One of Harry's friends, Hermione, has a big one. And it's just mind boggling tell you find out. Harry gets a new broom, called a Fire bolt, for Christmas from an anomous person. But it gets taken away by a professor. In overall its is a good book with many twists and secrets, not to mention suspense, like in chapter 16,"Professor trelawney's prediction." Which may just freak you out. So if you like books that are mysterious, has twists, secrets and suspense I highly suggest reading this book

Rating: Summary: The effects are magical... Review: I read the first Harry Potter book to my boys after Christmas last year. They were 7 and 9. They would crawl into their beds an hour before bedtime so I could continue and read more each night. We read The Chamber of Secrets vacationing at a cabin on a lake. One day it rained and my boys made me finish reading the book as they sat looking out the window. It took 6 hours and no one complained except when I had to stop for a rest. We couldn't wait for "Prisoner" to arrive in the U.S., had to order it from Amazon.com-UK. I still don't know how much I paid for it! We read this book just before school began. It had the same mesmerizing effect on my boys. What a wonderful way to allow my children to think, to dream, to imagine. Please don't make a movie of this, for we all have our own ideas of what Peeves looks like, and we delight in the differences. I can't imagine anyone not enjoying these books.
