Rating: Summary: Best book review Review: I never really liked books, but when I read the begining to this one I knew I'd like it. I'd stay up late reading and read in the morning before school. My favorite part is when Harry meets Sirus Black in the Shrieking Shack and when Harry plays Quidditch. I loved this book!

Rating: Summary: Fabulous book - lived up to our family's expectations Review: I never write reviews, but this book and the whole series are great. Our whole family, kids and adults loved it.Imaginative. Everything from a kid's perspective - sports, classes, bad teachers, good teachers, spats with friends. And all in an entirely different world of wizards and charms and potions!
Rating: Summary: Wow! I just couldn't stop! Review: I now own the three books and when I started reading them, I just couldn't stop! I just kept reading them up to 2:30 in the morning, still absorbed in the book. J.K. Rowling is possibly one of the best authors of all time!
Rating: Summary: Leaving room for the rest... Review: I only gave this book 4 stars because I want to leave room for the rest to the series. I found this book to be very good. I have read all three of them now and I enjoyed them very much. I am a 42 year old mom, with 7 children. I bought the first book for my 14 year old daughter 2 Christmases ago. She read it and liked it very much. I then read it and I also liked it. I then gave it to my 21 year old who liked it. Then my 12 year old read it, I could go on through the whole family. We all have enjoyed them. 'The Prisoner of Azkaban' was better that the second book but the first was better than this one because it was the one that introduced us to Harry and his friends and Hogwarts, et al; though I thoroughly enjoyed 'Azkaban'. The tension between Harry and his foster family rises; the supposed 'He-Who-Shall-Not-Be-Named' seems to be back and after Harry again, but more-so. His friendships with Ron and Hermoine are tested. And his trust in his teachers is challenged. Or rather which ones should he trust. Is the one who despises him evil? Is he the minion of Voldemort? Or is Harry's classmate Malfoy the one? Read them in order, and find out.

Rating: Summary: The Harry Potter series is destined to become a classic. Review: I purchased the first Harry Potter book about a week ago. About half way through I realized that I had to buy the other two books. I just finished "The Prisoner of Azkaban", which I feel is the best of the series thus far. Rowling's has developed a unique, intelligent and memorable hero in Harry Potter, and surrounded him with well developed characters, and created a world for them that is as unique a Narnia, or Middle Earth. It has been a long time since I have read a series of books that were so well written. I think that what I like best about Rowlings style, and treatment of her story, is that they are both intelligent, and well constructed. It is truely a pleasure to read these books. The mark of great literature is that it is able to transend the genre that publishers and book dealers try to pigeon hole it into, and be embraced, and recognize for what they are; books that anyone will enjoy regardless of age. I predict that The Harry Potter series will become a true classic of the Children's Literature genre. While reading the Harry Potter series, I was remind of "The Dark is Rising" series by Susan Cooper, which is another excellent series of books, I think that if anyone like Harry Potter, they might find "The Dark is Rising" series excellent. And another book that came to mind was "Ender's Game" by Orson Scott Card, there were certain elements in Harry Potter that reminded me a little of "Ender's Game." while this is not really a children's book, it has been pick up by a number a juvenile readers, and I found it quite interesting.
Rating: Summary: Magical Review: I put this 1* to get your attention, because i never read the 5*s. This book series is the best in the world. I have read all of them and i am half way through 'Philosphers Stone' for a second time. After I finished 'Philosphers Stone' I gave it to a friend to read because I thought it was sssssoooooo good. It took her a while to get into it, but as soon as she read chapter 2 she was loving it just as much as i had. It took her a while to finish it because she is the kind of reader who reads a bunch of books at a time. By the time she finished it I was already done 'Chamber of Secrets'and 'Prisinor of Azkaban'. Rowling has done it again by mixing you up, and then making you compleatly suprised by what happens at the end. I was SURE it was Professor Snape in 'Philosphers Stone', for who would of thought it was Professor Qurirrell who was supposedly afraid of everything he taught? And then in 'Chamber of Secrets', i was sure it was Malfoy. If you ever read this review, J.k, I'm telling you, you have one super dee duper sence of a wonderful imagination!! Please email me!!
