Rating: Summary: The best of the four Review: I LOVE this book. Sirus Black is my all time favorite charactor besides Professer Snape. These books become better the daker they get. Also it has the best plot.I think anyone who loves fiction should read this book.
Rating: Summary: Pure genius. Review: I love this book. Without a doubt it's my favorite in the whole series, and not just because it introduces Sirius Black (#1 on my list of favorite HP characters). The Prisoner of Azkaban is the first out of the series with some real emotion in it, and the conclusion to the enthralling mystery is, in my opinion, sheer brilliance. I'll just say that, as can be said with all of the books, nothing is as it seems. Don't trust initial perceptions!
Rating: Summary: Wow, this is a great book. Review: I loved all of the Harry Potter books. This one did not disapoint me. It is a bit more intricate than the other two books and a bit more fun to read. Harry Potter is not just for kids, all should feel comfortable reading it.
Rating: Summary: Wow! Review: I loved everything about this book. It had everything-humor, suspense, revelations about Harry's past... In this book, the third in the Harry Potter series, a prisoner named Sirius Black has escaped from the horrifying wizard prison of Azkaban. He was sent there twelve years ago because he supposedly betrayed Harry's parents to You-Know-Who and then murdered thirteen people in the street with a single curse. Now it seems that he has broken out of Azkaban to finish off the last Potter, Harry...The main reason I love this book so much is that it introduced a bunch of very well drawn new characters (Aunt Marge, Sirius, Lupin) and added more depth to old ones (Harry, Snape, and most surprisingly, Ron's rat Scabbers). Snape's meaner than ever, and we learn more about his past and the circumstances under which James Poter saved his life. Harry matures a lot in this book, as he learns that what everyone believes about a person may not be true. He also learns the quality of mercy when he chooses to spare the life of the man responsible for the death of his parents. Harry's Aunt Marge is even more horrible than Uncle Vernon and Aunt Petunia. She has got to be one of the most repulsive characters in all of literature, and I loved it when Harry blew her up. (Personally, I think that woman in Throw Momma from the Train would be perfect to play her.) Lupin is the new Defense Against Dark Arts teacher, and the first decent one we've met so far. Only problem is, he just happens to be a werewolf. Sirius Black has got to be my favorite charcter in the series. I was really disappointed that he didn't get to clear his name at the end of the book. The most shocking development in the book concerned Ron's pet rat, Scabbers. It turns out that he's really not a rat at all, but a wizard named Peter Pettigrew. It was really Pettigrew who betrayed Harry's parents and murdered all those people in the street, and Sirius really broke out of Azkaban to track him down, not Harry. Unfortunately, Scabbers escapes justice and sets off to rejoin You-Know-Who at the end of the story. I thought it was funny that Scabbers kept losing wait after he heard that Sirius had escaped. Hmmm..
