Rating: Summary: Harry Potter 3 Rating Response Review: I gave this great book 5 stars because it was a wonder to read it. It wove a number of exciting stories that have taken place in the past in the magical world to write this one. I enjoyed all of the wonder and magical adventure in this book. I never wanted to put it down! J.K Rowling is a miracle worker when it comes to writing fantasy stories and fiction books. Now I know why the Harry Potter series is a popular favorite in book stores.
Rating: Summary: I give Harry Potter and The Prisoner From Azkaban 4 stars. Review: I give Harry Potter and The Prisoner From Azkaban 4 stars, because it doesn't get exciting until the last four chapters. The main character is Harry Potter and The Prisoner From Azkaban. Harry finds out that the Prisoner from Azkaban is his godfather and that he has escaped from prison and is out to kill him. Will Harry escape this mad man? The only way you'll find out is if you read the book Harry Potter and The Prisoner From Azkaban.
Rating: Summary: My View of Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban Review: I give this book 5 stars because its the best book out of the 4 Harry Potter books. So many new things happened that year. Harry finding out that the prisoner of Azkaban is his godfather and that he is innocent, but only his best friends and the headmaster knows that. Plus, three new teachers, one of them is Harry's friends, Hagrid; the other is Harry's favorite Defense Againest The Dark Arts teacher, Professor Lupin; and the new Divination teacher, Professor Trelawney. Also, he found out more about his parents and their friends before they died, but he mostly found out that that his parents were betrayed by a traitor in their midst.
Rating: Summary: EXCELLENT - WONDERFUL - a MUST READ for ANYONE! Review: I got hooked after my 12 year old told me I'd love the book (I'm 38). Well, book 1 and 2 were great, but this latest book is wonderful. It literally brought tears to my eyes, the story is that good. I just love the excitement it causes among my kids. What reading was meant to be!
Rating: Summary: If you like Roald Dahl books-get these in hardback! Review: I grew up on "James & the Giant Peach" and "The Fantastic Mr. Fox" both by Roald Dahl. I still re-read them often & have longed for similar books to be enjoyed by young & old alike! TAA-DAAH!!! Here they are! Wonderfully imaginative, witty, full of fun! The wizard-world that is created in these books is the the best thing since Narnia!!! Once I got ten pages into the first one, I knew I had to have them for Christmas, but I couldn't wait that long! Bought all 3 & finished them in less than a week (400+ pages each!) But don't let them Muggles catch ya' with 'em!
Rating: Summary: As good as any OZ book Review: I grew up reading all the OZ books, and read them repeatedly. And could read them all again. I have now read all three of these books twice over in the space of 2 months. Never thought I'd find tales and characters that captured me like this. The magic she creates in our minds, the images, the characters - all make you wish you could attend Hogwarts, too. Great reading for all ages.
Rating: Summary: Amazing for all ages Review: I had heard a lot about the Harry Potter books, but never gave them a second thought. I am after all 27, decades older than the "target" audience. But on a whim I bought the first book, and after devouring that one on the train, I immediately went out and bought the next two. These books are absolutely amazing. They do what books are supposed to do... they take you into another world and let you become someone else, even if only for a few hours. J.K. Rowling has crafted a book for children of all ages, from pre-teens up to grandparents. The way she describes the scenery, the school, the characters, you honestly get taken away from your world and into a world full of magic and wonderment. I don't remember ever reading a book before and becoming so enchanted with it. Book 3 picks up right where Books 1 and 2 left off. And I can't wait for Book 4 to come out in a couple of weeks.
Rating: Summary: A Classic Series! Review: I had heard and read so much about the famous Harry Potter, I was thrilled when my Mom bought our newborn daughter the first three books. I read them all in the space of a week; coulnd't put them down. I can't believe that there are people who think this book should be banned. Shame on you for trying to stifle children's imaginations! I am a Christian who sees nothing wrong with the sort of sorcery practiced at Hogwarts. I can't wait till my daughter is old enough to read them. They are a wonderful introduction to further readings in the Fantasy genre, like the Chronicles of Narnia and The Lord of the Rings trilogy.
Rating: Summary: A must read for anyone with an endless imagination! Review: I had my doubt about these Harry Potter books, but I bought them thinking that they could help fill in our lacking study shelves. I read the first one... then the other two of the series and was very impressed that it isn't your normal plot type mystery book... or your typical young person's book either. It is a series that makes the person reading it think and use their imagination and when you think you know how it is going to end... like I said, it isn't your typical mystery plot. The books have to be read in the series to get a full appreciation of Rowling's great writing, but unlike some writers Rowling does explain some things from book to book if relevant. These books are a must for any young adult to read... and even for a adult that just wants some different to read that doesn't have a see through plot!
Rating: Summary: Best one yet! Review: I had read both of the two previous books in this series before I read this one. I enjoyed them both a great deal, but this is certainly the best one so far. I can't wait to get started on the fourth!
