Rating: Summary: How can she top this one? Review: I can't say much that hasn't already been said except that it will be an amazing feat if J.K. Rowling manages to exceed this book with the 4th.The ending is so thrilling and the characters are even more real than in the previous books so go out and read it! Chances are you won't have to buy it; a friend is bound to have a copy. :-)
Rating: Summary: Just as good as Harry Potter and The Chamber of Secrets! Review: I can't wait to read the next 4 books of this wonderful series!
Rating: Summary: All these books are about witch craft. Review: I cannot believe that Amazon would sell Mr. Potter's books. All his books are about witch craft and pull children into this cult deeper and deeper with each book. If you don't believe me, take these books to your pastor or priest or rabbi and ask them what they think!
Rating: Summary: WOW!! The best one yet Review: I cannot believe that J.K.Rowling has produced another astounding book!! Usually as series get bigger the quality of the books deteriorate, but not so in this case! In this 3rd HP book, Harry is whisked off into another exciting year at Hogwarts. There are new characters and old, things that are the same and things that are different. Follow Harry through his roller-coaster ride of a year that ends with a great surprise and an interesting twist, and you will be begging for the next book!!
Rating: Summary: harry potter and the prisnoner of azkaban Review: i cant believe that people really like these harry potter books. i know that its hard to get kids interested in books. what this author has done has taken off from the violence in tv,movies, video games to make money. this is no different than the hollywood producers. what is even more shocking is that parents let thier kids read this stuff. of course the devil will try to get his dirty tricks in any way and anywhere he can. it may seem harmless at the time but as more people allow thier children to read them the more violent they will come. witchery & magic are of the devil and we are supposed to stay far away from it. of course this has alot to do with greed also. too bad. there have been several studies on the effect of violence in movies,tv.and now i guess they'll have to study books. i suggest a different type of book be used for kids.the only reason i gave it a one star was because i had to give it a rating in order for it to be passed on for review. i give it no stars just thumbs down
Rating: Summary: Let's Marry Potter! Review: I cant disagree with anyone out there about how brilliant and very everyone's-got-to-read-it book it is.With all the magic that goes on it make's a difference from ordinary books.
Rating: Summary: five stars from a seventeen-year-old reader Review: I checked out the Harry Potter books out of curiosity when I heard that even adults were said to love them. I was hooked after the first one and the three Potter books have been the best, most relaxing, and fun reading I've done in a long time. If a high-schooler can appreciate Harry Potter, anyone can. I do think, however, that "magic" should be discussed with child readers so that they have a realistic perspective on the world around them. The occult scene in our world is nowhere near as benign as the environment at Hogwarts and children enamored with the magical realm in Harry Potter need to understand that.
Rating: Summary: The Young Wizard Harry Potter Review: I chose this book to write a review on because it is my favorite book. I like this book because it is a very exciting book. I'm sure you would like this book to. So please take time to read this book.
Rating: Summary: superb! Review: I confess. I have an 11 year old granddaughter, but I would have read the Harry Potter books anyway! I am well-educated, with an A.B. and J.D. Really good children's books are not limited by age. The 3d book in the Harry Potter series is by far the best---and the other two are excellent. They are for all ages, not just the young. You should discuss the ethical issues with your children/grandchildren. The stories captivate both young and old. (Okay, middle-aged.)
Rating: Summary: These will be classics read for decades Review: I consider myself lucky to have gotten an advance reading copyof the third and newest Harry Potter book (don't worry Scholastic, I'll still buy a copy!), and without giving away any of the incredible plot, it's absolutely wonderful. J.K. Rowling has gotten even better with this new entry in the series--between edge-of-your-seat thrills and laugh-out-loud humor, she's created a series of classics that will be read for decades, if not beyond. I'm 37...but I *wish* I'd discovered these when I was 13! Buy this, buy the others, read 'em till they fall apart, buy new copies, save them for your kids to pass down to their kids. You need a little magic in your life.
