Summary: Amazingly good for all ages
Review: What other book can be read by parents and children alike! When we bought this, I couldn't wait for my 11 year old son to finish the book so I could get into it myself. This is the 3rd book in the series, and Rowling just gets better with each one.

Sirius Black, known to be a dangerous criminal, has escaped and is after Harry! Harry learns more secrets about his past, and his father, and grows up in the process. All of Harry's old pals are there, and new characters are introduced as well.

There are plenty of plot twists and well done characters - enough to keep you reading as quickly as you can until the very end. The series is up there with JRR Tolkein and other greats of the fantasy world. A must-read for any lover of this style of writing, no matter what the age.

Summary: Engaging reading.
Review: What the author lacks in depth of storytelling, she makes up in sheer melodramatic action and believable characters. This book is easy enough for adults to read in a single weekend reading binge, or to read together as a family. Recommended.

Summary: Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban
Review: What would you do with someone who is out to kill you? I like this book because I never knew what was going to happen next, especially when Harry found a secret passage to Hogsmead.

Summary: J.K. Rowling just keeps 'em coming!
Review: When a friend told me I "absolutely had to read" Harry Potter I was a little bit skeptical of how an adult would react to a children's book series. However, I am now proud to admit that I am addicted to these books, being unable to put them down once I begin reading. After reading the second book (which was even better than the first) I thought it was unreasonable to expect the third book to surpass the first two. However, with an ending to knock your socks off, the third book was so good it made me want to take off work to read "Goblet of Fire." I recommend this book to "children of all ages" and anyone who wants to read well-developed storylines with smart characters and great fantasy value. READ THEM! J.K. Rowling is a literary goddess!

Summary: I love this book!
Review: When are sequels as good as the original? Better?

When they are the Harry Potter books of course!

More excitement, more adventure, new characters, huge surprises, twists and turns that leave you gasping.

I'm 35 years old and I adore these books. To resort to a cliche: for the young - and the young at heart.

Summary: Harry Potter is a Hit!!!
Review: When Harry Potter blows up his Aunt Marge, he is on the virge of being expelled! Even worse, his Aunt and Uncle vow not to take Harry to King's Cross Station on the first of September. To top it all off, Harry Potter is being chased by the criminal outlaw Sirius Black. Beyond all of his troubles, he is attacked by monsters that suck the life out of you. What will Harry do in J.K Rowling's third installment of the Harry Potter series?

Summary: Harry's back and better than ever!
Review: When Harry's Aunt Marge makes one nasty remark too many, Harry unwittingly turns her into a human balloon! But he escapes his miserable guardians, the Dursleys, and is soon back for his third year at the Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry.

There's a new villain to challenge Harry and his friends this year: the escaped prisoner Sirius Black, convicted of murder and sentenced to the dungeons of Azkaban, where the soul-chilling Dementors stand guard. Now, against the wishes of Headmaster Albus Dumbledore, the Dementors arrive at Hogwarts, because Black's supposed to be coming to kill Harry!

In this book Harry and friends meet the new Hogwarts' Professor Lupin, use a magical map to find a secret passage to a special all-wizard village, play a great game of Quidditch on Harry's newest broomstick, and finally are able to see their Slytherin nemeses Draco Malfoy and his goons get their just desserts! And Hermione's got a secret that just might save the life of an innocent man. Oh, and Harry finds out something very unusual about his murdered father....

Best of the three! Read and enjoy!

Summary: Astonishingly and magically intergenerational!
Review: When I decided to give my 16 year old daughter a copy of HARRY POTTER AND THE SOCERER'S STONE for her 16th birthday, I had no idea that it would become our secret passion together! She looked at me weirdly as if I had lost my mind. A child's book mom? But I said to judge me after she had read it. Well, the rest is, as we say, history. Now, after reading the second book, we are falling over ourselves as we rush to purchase the third book. Now I have my employer, who is reading it with two of his children, ages 14 and 15,and he is getting his mother-in-law to read it. Additionally, all my co-workers want to borrow my copy! I shall have to tell them to purchase their own copies! J.K. Rowling has broken the intergenerational reading barrier in my opinion. Her creative plots and characters, her sense of humor and the poignant side of adolescence is absorbingly real and completely draws in all ages of readers into her double worlds of Muggles and Wizardry. I shouldn't be surprised to see a movie from these series of books in the future for family viewing!

Summary: The Door to Fantasy in Harry Potter
Review: When I first heard about Harry Potter, I thought it was some stupid book that the kids in school like. But when my friend convinced me to read it, I was hooked! The way Harry Potter, an average normal boy, finds out he belongs to a wizard family, and will attend Hogwarts, the school of Withcraft and Wizardry, is just so charming, I could not resist. This enchanting story is the most delightful tale I've ever read. It's like you're entering the door to fantasy aas you turn the pages.
