Rating: Summary: WOW! Review: This is the best Harry Potter book yet! I was worried that as the series went on it would start to get old, but instead it just keeps getting more intriguing and exciting. I read fantasy whenever possible and love series such as Dragonlance (Margaret Weis & Tracy Hickman) and the Belgariad (David & Leigh Eddings). This is a very different style of book, but it is just as enjoyable. It is certainly not just for ten-year-olds! I've shared Harry Potter with my sister, my neighbor, and my english/lit teacher, and they all love it!
Rating: Summary: The best Harry Potter book yet!! Review: This is the best Harry Potter book yet. It grabs you and won't let go. One of my friends told me she was up til midnight reading it. People shouldn't be so uptight about the swear words. Kids are going to hear and read them in life anyway. Anyways it's the best Harry Potter book yet and I recomend it to everyone. I can't wait til the others come out.
Rating: Summary: a great story Review: This is the best Harry Potter out of the 4. It has such unpreditable twists and the finale is great although it makes your mind spin. Lupin is one of the best characters in the whole lot, in fact he and Sirius are my fave ones followed by Snape and Hermione. Harry is growing up and finding revelations about his parents and history. Also he is starting to notice girls. There are bits in this book that make me cry with laughter ...and others that just make me cry. The bit where Lupin and Sirius are explaining how Lily and James died is so moving, and the way Lupin, Sirius, James and Peter all messed up in different ways.... If you loved Harry Potter you will love The Price of Immortality by C.M. Whitlock, it's a MUST READ for any fantasy fan
Rating: Summary: reader from Baltimore, Md.--Hirsh Feierstein Review: This is the best of all three Harry Potter books. I am 12 years old and I really enjoyed reading it. It has adventure, suspense, violence, games and potions. I think other kids would enjoy reading it.
Rating: Summary: The best of the first three Harry Potter books Review: This is the best of the first three Harry Potter books. The first book had the advantage of presenting something totally new. The second book advanced the story and was really enjoyable, but, to me, this book is the best so far. The story of Harry's pursuit by Sirius Black is really exciting and, while I had a lot of theories as to the outcome as I read, the actual result was a total surprise. There are so many unique and magical elements in this book it would be difficult to count them. While couched in the world of magic, Harry's continuing struggle to deal with the loss of his parents is extremely touching. It is great to see a series that keeps getting better and better rather than recycling the same old stuff in every book.
Rating: Summary: Amazing Book Review: This is the best of the Harry Potter series. I admit it's a tad dark at times but it was still the most emotional and touching volume in the series. Any fan of adventure and sorcery will love it.
Rating: Summary: The best of the three books Review: This is the best of the three books and that's saying something. In this book, Rowling combines her wonderful imagination with a great plot containing several unexpected twists and turns. Great story. Great characters. A triumph.
Rating: Summary: The Best So Far, also the darkest... Review: This is the best Potter book so far (I'm working on #4 now). It has a complex plot and a darkness to it that I enjoyed. It is as if Rowling is letting the books become more adult as the characters in the book grow and as probably the readers also are maturing. It reminds me of the middle Star Wars movie - The Empire Strikes Back. There are some emotionally mature things that happen but I think that the payoff will be big in the future novels. I keep wondering if, in the end, will we discover that Mum and Dad Potter are possibly .... well, I'll keep reading.
Rating: Summary: This is a great book!!! Review: This is the best searies rthat you can read! It is very descriptive and you feel like you are right there. You never want to put the book down, you just want to see what Harry Potter and his friends do next, wether it be under the invisablity clock, in Hogsmed, or finding the truth and saving two people. He is the best!
Rating: Summary: "Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban"- Elena's Review Review: This is the first book I have read about Harry, and I simply became a fan! Why? For JK Rowling is a true wizard and knows how to bewitch people! With her marvellous story-telling, the and the amazing and imaginative characters she concocted, she enchants both children and adults all over the world. In this book, Harry's personality developes, and his past is not as obscure any more. The kids grow (now they are 13) and Harry slowly starts to search deaper in his past, which slowly reveals in front of us. Not only Harry's past is less murky, but also Snape's- we start to understand his abominable comportement towards Harry. The plot is complex, there are much of surprises, in the moment one thinks everyting is lost, an unexpected phenomenon occurs. Bad points: I don't recommend it to small children. The compexity of the plot, the length of the book, as well as some frightening sceans (like blowing Pettigrew into peaces, blood, death, Buckbeak's last cries and Hagrid's moans when we hear the struck of the axe)are not suitable for children. In book 4 Rowling really goes to far by Krum being killed. I was shoked when I read that! I cried! What would a kid do? Have nightmares? In all, this is an excellent book, I recommend it to all. I have never read a more interesting, or a more enchanting book. You certainly won't be dissapointed, and if you become addicted, don't worry- 'Wild about Harry? Join the queue!'
